This was probably the game that made me a gamer. It's not only revolutionary, but still unique even today. It's much more non-linear than the Galaxy games and 3D World (although I think that Galaxy 2 and 3D World are still better games), and I still play this masterpiece even nearly twenty years later (can't believe it's been that long).
Nintendo would have gotten a lot more sales if they included local and online multiplayer, as this is one of my favorite Mario Karts. I guess that would be too much work. Oh well, I'll probably stick with my original copy.
No multiplayer (online and local) really makes Mario Kart DS not that appealing on the Wii U. I still have my cart, so I'll probably pass unless it gets a huge discount.
I may bite on WarioWare: Touched!!, Super Mario 64 DS, 999, and the Kingdom Hearts games if all of them appear.
Honestly, this isn't as bad as people make it out to be. This, along with QOL is going to attract the mobile gamers and non-gamers, attracting a lot of extra money in the process if done right. It will also allow Nintendo to not dumb down their dedicated gaming hardware in order to appeal to that audience.
They can use the mobile games to not only bring in a lot of extra money from people who will likely only play games on smartphones, but possibly attract some of them to their dedicated gaming hardware.
Basically, Nintendo is trying to expand their horizons and earn money from everyone. What's so bad about that?
I own the DS, PS! Classic, and VC versions. It blew me away on the DS, and this article reminds me that I need to get back to playing this in order to see all of the endings!
Jesus, all I'm hearing are cries of betrayal just because one game isn't on the Wii U!
It makes more business sense to develop a game for PS4/Xbox One/PC because they're closer in terms of specs, rather than also trying to develop the game for the PS3, 360, and Wii U. I suppose that PS3 and 360 owners should also feel betrayed because of this?
I'll definitely buy this for my Xbox One or PS4 (if I have one by then). Calm down, guys.
...Although the poster ''excuse'' is pretty hilarious.
I definitely will watch these. Been trying to get better at Smash 4 because I really do love the game when you're playing it in pure For Glory style. Been trying to main Sonic and possibly Ike.
Super Mario 64 would be a god-send. The DS version is very inferior due to the controls (even on the 3DS). F-Zero X, Donkey Kong 64, and Kirby 64 would also be awesome.
My history with dedicated gaming handhelds is pretty odd. My first handheld was a Sega Nomad. That was the only handheld I actually owned until I bought a GBA SP around 2004-2006. Then I began to dive into handheld gaming with the GBA SP, DS, and PSP. It honestly changed me as a gamer and introduced me to countless amazing games.
I now probably play on handhelds more than ever even though I still game on consoles a lot. Long live portable gaming!
It really saddens me that Sega has fallen so hard. The company used to give Nintendo a run for their money, but now they are just struggling to survive.
I'm beginning to think that this generation will be remembered as the worst when it comes to Nintendo's business decisions. They are awesome developers, but horrible at pro-consumer business
The white knights of Nintendo need to stop defending bad business decisions like this, especially if you actually care about the company. Free publicity certainly can help the Wii U (especially since it's well on it's way to possibly becoming the worst selling Nintendo home console ever).
If you're going to defend this, you might as well defend the New 3DS not being in America, the lack of a charger for the New 3DS XL, and the amiibo stock issues. It seems okay to defend Nintendo when their decisions don't affect you personally, but when it does...things change quickly. That's kind of selfish of you, don't you think?
Was I reading Kotaku or Nintendo Life just now? Seriously, there was really no need for this news article. Big deal that someone got upset over twenty year old cutscenes. I didn't know about this, but I thought it was pretty cool. Nothing really even close to racism here.
People are seriously way too sensitive these days. Chill.
The amiibo stock issue is ridiculous. The demand is cleraly there, so why isn't Nintendo making more figures to meet demand? It's like Nintendo doesn't want money.
It's time to save up money between this along with Majora's Mask 3D, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. This is turning out to be a great start to 2015 for Nintendo. I'm also noticing that the New 3DS XL seems to be promoting console-quality games on the go, which is a good thing in my book.
I'm really disappointed that Nintendo is (probably purposely) not having more amiibos available than they should of their current waves. Instead, Nintendo is trying to brush them under the rug while bringing out the new ones which will probably have the same problems.
I'm interested in the Toad amiibo, but I'm losing interest in everything else amiibo related pretty fast.
The way that Nintendo has handled amiibo is honestly making me lose interest in them. Nintendo made amiibo flop and they have no one else to blame but themselves.
I'm definitely interested in this, but I need to play and beat the first two Shantae games. I'll buy this once I manage to do that (unless it goes on sale beforehand).
How about finishing Moon Chronicles first, Renegade? Seriously, you guys' track record on developing games sound like me when I play them (which is playing too many at once before finishing the others).
Nice to see that Amiibo support will be coming to this game. I can definitely see Nami as Peach (which I do have) and Zelda as Robin.
Also @Damo, you may want to give a massive warning or cut out spoiler content related to anime-based articles in the future. You just dropped a gigantic spoiler bomb in the upper half of the image without any warning. It personally didn't affect me since I'm keeping up with One Piece, but those that are behind or are just getting into the series just got massively spoiled without any warning whatsoever. I'm very disappointed.
A suggestion is to allow someone who is familiar with anime/manga series to post articles like these, so that way he/she would be able to spot spoilers like these and cut them out if necessary when submitting future articles.
It's nice to see that this eliminates the online lag (at least for the most part). With an ethernet connection, I shouldn't have many (if any) issues. I can't wait to get my copy from Amazon tomorrow!

Re: Video: WarioWare Touched! Arrives On Wii U Virtual Console
This game actually may be more fun on the Wii U VC due to being able to post your high scores on Miiverse, so I may buy this again.

Having just five stars instead of ten stars is a better way of rating games. I think that you guys used to do that if my memory serves me right.

Re: Ocarina Of Time 3D Reportedly No Longer In Production
Still have my copy from 2011, but at least you have the option to buy it digitally if you don't own it. Back in the Wii and DS era, you were SOOL.
Re: Not Everyone is Thrilled That Metroid Prime Trilogy Lands on the Wii U eShop Tomorrow
I still have my copy, but this is an awesome deal for those interested even when it shoots up to $20.

I'm interested in the Ness, Lucina, and Toad amiibos. Not sure about the rest. That is if Nintendo can keep any of them in stock!

$10 for SMG2 is a brilliant deal. If you never played this game before, then you need to buy it ASAP.

Re: Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition Credited With Boosting Nintendo's Share Value
This actually looks pretty good (most pleasing looking Mario 3DS game since Dream Team). I would buy this if it's localized.
Re: Review: Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World (Wii U eShop / Game Boy Advance)
I own the GBA cart and honestly prefer this version between using the shoulder buttons for the spin jump and the unique differences between brothers.
