I've played the original version to death, so I definitely will look into buying the cartridge version of this remake down the road.

Never going to happen. Nintendo will wait until next-gen for SNES games to be on a portable because 3D Classics takes up too much time for Nintendo (or they are lazy).

Nice to see some love for Skyward Sword in this game. The Twilight Princess love was getting annoying.

It looks great but Microsoft basically gave me the Xbox One version for free, so I'll have to pass on the Wii U version.

I own a Xbox One and Wii U while I'm also planning on buying a PS4 either during this year or next year.

I honestly hope that the big 3DS game reveal will be Metroid 3DS. I want Majora's Mask 3D, but it probably won't happen until next year.

This is lazy and foolish on Nintendo's part. There's actually people like myself who love Battle Mode. Nintendo could have offered both options (modified tracks and arenas), and eveyone would have been happy.

Now Mario Kart 8 will never be a 10/10 game because we'll always know what's missing. Bad move, Nintendo.

It's nice to know that there's at least someone mature and open-minded in Nintendo to admit that the competion is on the right track. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo need to respect and learn from each other because that's the only way they're going to learn and grow. It's too bad that most of their ''fans'' can't learn the same lesson.

@Daisaku36 Then you buy a PS4 and/or Xbox One. I own a Xbox One and plan to buy a PS4 hopefully during this year. After all, I thought that common sense says that you buy a console when you see a game that you really want to play.

@Heiki No one knows for sure until Nintendo (or Sony or Microsoft) actually pulls the plug. But I'll likely get into gaming on PCs eventually. If that does happen, then digital gaming will always remain a secondary option, and not the standard.

Nintendo doesn't care about their fans since the N64 days. Stuff like this makes me realize that the 3DS and Wii U might be my last Nintendo devices.

@citizenerased They're not shutting down the Wii Shop Channel, just the online multiplayer on every game. But Nintendo better not shut down the Wii Shop Channel, because that will just show how ''valuable'' downloadable games are.

Really is sad and pathetic that Nintendo will resort to this in order to force users to upgrade. I really actually enjoyed many DS and Wii games online and would like to even play more from my BL, but apparently Nintendo thinks otherwise.

There will likely be some games now in my BL that I'll be less likely to play because of this. I'm actually a busy person with a life, so it's not like I have the free time to instantly play every DS and Wii game.

But in a way, it doesn't surprise me that Nintendo still hates online. They just do the bare minimum to keep their fans happy and always will. Guess I better play Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart DS as much as I can after I finish VLR. Strange on how I wanted to play those games before this crap happened.

This will backfire on Nintendo somehow, because it will just make Wii/DS gamers mad and they will likely seek the competition instead.

Yes, this is absolutely horrible. Don't even defend this crap. Basically, Mario Kart 8 might be the only AAA retail game from Nintendo released on the Wii U aside from Tropical Freeze until late 2014. That's far worse than any drought the Wii or GameCube had, In fact, it's gotten to the point that the system itself IS a drought.

Downloadable games aren't going to increase sells of the Wii U like retail games would. More retail games for the Wii U would mean more sales, shelf space, and awareness. I also highly doubt Mario Kart 8 will even ''save'' the Wii U.

If we're fortunate, Bayonetta 2 and Smash Bros. 4 will be released in 2014. I highly doubt that X will be released until 2015. So Nintendo better have some surprises at E3, or it's going to get even worse for the Wii U.

The Wii U is Nintendo's biggest disaster since the Virtual Boy (or an even bigger disaster since the Virtual Boy was an experiment that flopped compared to a main home console that's flopping). 2014 will probably be the worst year for the Wii U so far. I just hope that it doesn't get any worse in 2015.

I'm playing VLR for the first time, and I'll do anything to play the third game of one of my most favorite series of all time.
