Re: Review: Super Mario Bros. 3 (3DS eShop / NES)

It's kind of hard to believe that Nintendo still hasn't made a 2D Mario platformer that surpasses SMB3 (SMW and NSMBU comes close though). I'll gladly download this when NOA has enough time to rerelease a game that's nearly twenty-four years old.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Games We'd Love to See in 2014

I would buy most of those games. I think that All-Stars 2 (with Super Mario 64, Sunshine, and the Galaxy games) and a Rosalina spin-off as a platformer instead would be better ideas.

But I really think that realistically the only one that we will see this year is a Metroid game for the 3DS.

Re: Nintendo Left Online Out Of Super Mario 3D World To Deliver The "NES" Experience

Horrible excuse, Nintendo. You could of have it both ways, and you know it. The real reason that you didn't put online multiplayer in is because of laziness and refusing to evolve with the times.

Nintendo only thinks of the kids because kids are much more likely to have free time than adults when it comes to local multiplayer games.

It's an effing shame too, because 3D World is a phenomenal game even in single player. But I would like the option to play multiplayer since I have no people around me locally who are interested in even touching this game. Online multiplayer wouldn't have affected local multiplayer in the slightest.

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Smash Bros. 4 has laggy online multiplayer in the Wii U version and no online multiplayer in the 3DS version. Nintendo doesn't know or want to know how to embrace online.

Re: Poll: As the PS4 Arrives, What Do You Think of the 'New Gen' Environment for Wii U?

Knux

I bought a Wii U in February, and will likely buy a PS4 sometime before the end of 2014. I'll probably buy a Xbox One two to three years from now after the library builds up and the inevitable price drop.

It's good to own all three consoles so your options in gaming are vast, which is all that matters for you in the end.

But Nintendo is probably going to be in third place during this generation unless they pull off a miracle.

Re: Review: Wii Sports Club: Tennis (Wii U eShop)

Knux

I actually wouldn't mind buying Wii Sports Club, but it seems way overpriced.
$9.99 per sport seems utterly ridiculous, and no current retail option is lame. I'll play the waiting game and either wait for a price drop or retail version.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's Safe and Family-Friendly Focus is Integral to Its Fortunes

If Nintendo is unwilling to have an account based system where they can just suspend or ban anyone who breaks the rules like Sony and Microsoft does, then they're never going to have that squeaky clean environment that they want. Either evolve when it comes to online Nintendo, or leave things as they are. Flipping the off switch is just a very lazy and pathetic way of handling things.

And it's not all Nintendo's fault either. It's horrible parenting that has also lead to this. A responsible parent would use parental controls and monitor their children rather than point the finger at Nintendo. Either be a responsible parent and protect your child from the ''darker'' parts of the internet (or the internet altogether), or don't have kids in the first place.
