Nintendo Indie World Showcase To Air Tomorrow, 14th April

Hopefully we will get a date for Silksong

So it will be tomorrow 14 April 2021 at 11 pm in my place.

(Actually, there's quite a crop awaiting us, with Hollow Knight and more on the docket. But we may not see them tomorrow.)

I play a lot of indie games but these honestly rarely have anything I’d play. Hopefully there’s some Silksong news.

The last full Direct was kind of dissappointing for me as I had huge expectations and was hoping for more Zelda 35 love. With the Indie World I never know what to expect other than Silksong, so they are usually very pleasing. Love these news

This and a resident evil showcase in same week... And I'm on annual leave! Beer will be drank and games will be put into my backlog.

Come on, I want to see Silksong, Baldo, Axiom Verge 2, Sports Story and Hazelnut Bastille. Am I asking for too much? XD

Honestly, most of my anticipated Switch games are indies, other than BotW2 and Prime 4.

Can't really say that I'm interested in this. I watched past ones, and stopped tuning in, mainly because most of the games were unremarkable.

Keeping my fingers crossed for a Spelunky/Spelunky 2 shadow drop. 🤞🏻

These Indie Worlds almost never reveal something that has been revealed before. Axiom Verge 2, Silksong etc are not that likely to get shown, I’d guess. Happy to be proved wrong, though.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see something like Loop Hero, but often these are full of things I’ve never even heard of before.

Idk what will be on there. I hope for some indie horror games though

I have enjoyed the Indie circuit on the eShop so I am looking forward to seeing what else there could be coming up.

Predictions done right (i.e not just guessing which leaks are real or not!)

• A game where you control a hippo.
• An arcade game where you have to balance an increasing carry load of shopping as you walk accross a slapstick city.
• Spiritual successor to Food Fight.
• A game where you play as the protagonist's side kick called Easy-Mode-Man. The hero is playing through a video game, but truth be told he's not very good, so you have to rush around correcting / pre-empting mistakes to get him to the end of the game. (A thankless task.)

An announcement that Chucklefish is working on a sequel to Wargroove would be amazing. Better yet, Nintendo is handing them the Advance Wars license.

I heard that FNAF:Security Breach is only a limited-time exclusive for the PS5 and because Scott went out of his way to put all the FNAF games on Switch even the VR one(Help Wanted) what if we could get a Switch port development announcement for FNAF:Security Breach.

Its not impossible for a switch port to be announced as Capcom announced a PC release of MH Rise before the switch version launched. But it is unlikely though imo.

If no Security Breach announcement for switch later after PS5, PC, and PS4, at least we got some indie horror games like Tormented Souls , Happy Game (which is actually rn a switch console exclusive), and In Sound Mind.

Also the real question is here is whether the switch can run Security Breach

Pretty sure Security Breach is already confirmed to happen eventually.

It is a timed Playstation console exclusive
(it will come to PS5 and PS4) and it will come to PC at the same time for now.

But it will come to other consoles 3 months later.

It isn't impossible for a switch port to be announced before the Playstation 4 and 5 versions of the game come out as Capcom had announced a PC version of MH Rise before the NS version came out

Spelunky still seems to be saying “Summer 2021” but I’m REALLY hoping they drop both games tomorrow. After those two I’m pretty much all out of wants at this point, and I’ve recently been getting back into backlog stuff so I’m pretty well set. I’m ALL about Immortal Redneck and Steamworld Dig 2 right now.🤘🏻

Indie Worlds always have dope games. Really hoping for a great “later today” drop.

@GhostGeneration As an enormous Spelunky fan, who has sunks hundreds of hours into the first, and close to a hundred into the second, I'm both hopeful for and scared of a shadow drop. As for IR and Dig, amazing games. My head has been into MH Rise lately, and not much else. Been playing a lot of board games with the kiddo, and one deck dungeon by myself.

Hoping to learn more about Sports Story all the others I'll like a few then forget what they are called or just never realise they came out

Is the upcoming TMNT game considered an indie game? I'm dying for more information on that. Either way, I love these indie presentations as I usually find two or three things I'm looking forward to.

@PhilKenSebben Nice! I actually dropped off from MH Rise for a little bit, just one of those random mood shifts back into roguelikes and such. The Spelunky games are my latest holdouts for Switch indies right now, after them anything else is bonus. I’ve never played them so I’ll be going in 100% green.

Hell yeah! I can see "Dusk" (that oldschool-ish but modern Quake-like shooter) being either given a release date or a shadow drop, since it recently (finally) passed a...thing (i forgot) at Nintendo Of America.

Hopefully we see Baldo again. That game looked dope.

Really hyped for this. Nowadays I seem to spend most of my time playing indie games. What I want more than anything out of tomorrow is more info and a date for Sports Story. Other than that, I just want new games and surprises - it's the most creative area in gaming just now so I never tend to be disappointed by the Indie Worlds.

@Petew do you mean Rhythm Heaven Mega Mix? I loved that game on 3ds. My problem was I couldn't watch the visuals and get the beats perfect. But the visuals were hilarious. It would be great on Switch.

How about revealing the fact that Shantae from the GBC is coming next week with the GBA Enhancement Mode added on? Since this is an Indie World Showcase, don't expect a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Trailer, as E3 2021 might end up showcasing BOTH Final Characters at the beginning AND end of the E3 2021 Presentation. I mean, it worked for Hero and Banjo & Kazooie.
