Ahead of the release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga on the Nintendo Switch and multiple other platforms, TT Games and Warner Bros. have shared a new trailer during today's Future Games Show.
It puts the spotlight on the dark side - showcasing some of the greatest villains in the series from Palpatine, General Grievous, and even "Ben Swolo", sorry...Kylo Ren.
Here's some PR about what else to expect:
"The galaxy is yours with LEGO Star Wars™: The Skywalker Saga! Play through all nine saga films in a brand-new video game unlike any other. With over 300 playable characters, over 100 vehicles, and 23 planets to explore, the galaxy has never been more fun!"
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga arrives on Nintendo Switch on 5th April. One other LEGO game shown during the Future Games Show was the newly announced title LEGO Bricktales:

The most movie-accurate character model
No matter the reception, this game will have the best version of the sequel trilogy.

Super excited for this game. I'm a huge fan of the classic Lego Star Wars games, and I actually rather enjoyed The Force Awakens as well. I'm really hoping this game turns out great.
I'm guessing it will have a character builder? LSWII had two slots, one was always just a random mess, the other one was Mara Jade of course.
@Astral-Grain Wasn't it already reported that the founder and other people had left and made a new studio? The new people seemed much better, according to the same report (which wasn't made by NL, but they reported on that news). And yes, the allegations have been ignored and should have been addressed, but at least the report had said that they've done some internal changes. At the very least it's better than Ubisoft, who still haven't done anything and will not acknowledge their issues, instead getting into NFTs, possibly hoping that this controversy will bury the (more serious) workplace ones.
@AlienX More recent games have usually had more custom character slots. I actually believe LSW2 had the first custom character creator among the TT lego games, so they've evolved quite a bit since then.
I'll pick this up when it's $20. Lego games typically don't stay expensive long. But still TT really put alot into this.
Good, twice the villains, double the boss fights.
That was 2 chuckles and one lol (Palpatine’s order #67 😂) in the 2-min clip, so I’m sensing a funny disturbance in the force…
Please Switch version, don’t be a compromised mess!
@Astral-Grain While im not saying im not against any allegations, but how does any of that help you?
Has there been any switch gameplay footage yet? I’m curious to know how scaled back it is.
I'm sure it will be great, but I do forget about the new movies. The original Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga will always be the best for me.
-and it had Indiana Jones for no reason! I doubt the new one has that
This is one Lego game I am really eager to play.
Is there any info on how this runs on switch. Every source I see has only played the pc version.
Also Kyle rent isn’t one of the greatest villains. General grevious isn’t either.
Love me some sexualized Legos.
Leave it to Lego to do what LucasArts and Disney couldn't. Hopefully by 23 planets, that means actual exploration throughout and not just one or two dungeons/towns/cities per planet.
Oh boy, Star Wars content has appeared on the internet? Can't wait to dive into some conversation and read the same negative responses over and over again! What a joyous day for the internet.
I'm actually put off by the fact the Disney films are in. They need to be scrapped just like Disney did with the expanded universe.
@MetalMan
You would love the Prince of Persia range. 🥰
@moodycat Well... General Grievous deserved to be called "one of the great villains" in Star Wars saga, imo. But, I can't say the same thing about Kylo Ren. I can't call him a "great villian".
@blindsquarel Nope, General Grievous deserved it.
@moodycat How dare you disrespect the master of lightsabers, General Grievous!
This games amount of content looks insane....
@GrailUK,
Depends on if you like them or not, more game and locations can't be a bad thing...
@Parkour_LMan @AlienX Unfortunately TT have confirmed on Twitter that there's no character customisation in the game.

Kylo Ren was a terrible villain with all the emotional control of a Pop-Tart. But this title looks so good it may even make the Disney trilogy a fun visit
I'm really hyped for this one. The only thing that's still in the air for me is the lack of Switch footage or gameplay, but I'd rather not think too much about it. Let's wait for further news. I really really really want to play this game. Downgrading will be unavoidable, I know, but if they treat us with respect, we'll get a solid version both in terms of graphics and performance. Content cannot be questioned - it seems we'll literally have a galaxy to explore
Kylo Ren is my favorite fictional character of all time. You may now shower me with judgement and hatred. It's a shame the movies he's in aren't better overall and better regarded by fans.
The new movies are basically JJ Abrams’ fan fic. There are many parts that work, but many parts that don’t. And they don’t feel like a cohesive story as a Trilogy.
Same for the new Star Treks. All three movies are basically Wrath of Kahn re-mixes. I enjoy them, but they all have the same basic plot (a villain with a personal vendetta against the Federation).
The Solo movie got better in the end. I wish they would have finished the story with a 2nd movie.
Rogue One was great!
I look forward to the game, but may wait for a used copy or a discount.
Star Wars fans or Pokemon fans, which community is more toxic? Any mention of either of these properties brings all sorts of characters out of the woodwork.
Can you imagine a Star Wars article without someone writing how much they dislike the JJ Abrams movies in the comment section? I bet it doesn't exist haha.
@Vyacheslav333
To be clear He is a very cool character. Well cool design at least. In all reality he was just a coward every time he showed up. Even the clone wars couldn’t save him like they did maul.
Ben Swolo? How about Ben Hellno.
There’s extremely little that I’d call “great” from the sequels, save for a great waste of time, and not in a positive way.
But the biggest crime of this all, is the fact perhaps the greatest Star Wars villain isn’t even included in this game, not even in the pre-release dlc announcement.
Looking really good!
@blindsquarel Yeah, General Grievous is coward... But not every time when he shows up, at least.
@Vyacheslav333 He was a complete badass in that limited clone wars animated show
@Bizzyb
Do you mean the clone wars movie? I haven’t seen it but from the clone wars tv show I didn’t find him that tough. He was more of a coward than anything. ( although he did have some cool fights with obi wan).
@blindsquarel Sorry for the late reply. There was an animated Clone Wars TV show from the guy that created Samurai Jack. It was only like 6 or 7 episodes but it followed the events between Episode 2 and 3. It showed General Grievous as a force to be reckoned with.
Look up Genndy Tartarkovsky Clone Wars. You won't be disappointed 😉
@Bizzyb
Will do, thanks for the suggestion.
