These games are brilliant and I’m always hoping for 5. The more people who play this series the better, and this would suggest that Sega at least still have some sort of interest in it.
I've watched everything that Ghibli has made, own several of their art books and visited their museum and I can honestly say that I'm not seeing the link with this game. Game looks interesting, but it seems to be a popular selling point to say it's inspired by Ghibli. Ghibli's output is so varied that I take issue with these 'inspirations' anyway. It'd be better to say they had been inspired by a particular film.
This approach makes sense to be honest. They reveal the console along with a small amount of footage, tease a few things and by the time we get to their E3 direct hype is at a fever pitch. They then drop some big game reveals and reveal their lineup for the year.
Played the demo and it was everything I wanted it to be. As a clear successor to Tactics Ogre it did everything that it needed to for me to be sold on it. It's got a few rough edges for sure, the voice acting in particular is awful, but the fact that they're asking for feedback from players is particularly promising. I think this game is going to be great and I can't wait for the full game's release!
My wife and I use fitness boxing regularly and are thinking of upgrading to 2, mainly for the ability to be able to choose your own workouts and speeds in free mode. Does anyone know if you can stack the workouts though? It’s be great to choose three or four particular ones if we were aiming for 20 minutes for example
My dad did something similar, although nowhere near the same scale. I bought a boxed Commodore 64 night moves along with a literal bin bag full of games for it from an auction house. Came back from uni one day to find my dad had taken the ‘old tapes’ to the tip. I still get angry thinking of all those pieces of history sitting in a landfill somewhere!
Was very excited for this one, but after watching a video review I'm out. It looks shocking in handheld, with one reviewer describing it as looking like the screen had been smeared with vaseline and then wrapped with cellotape. They weren't far off unfortunately. I'm hoping this one gets patched as I'm willing to put up with a bit of a downgrade but not to that extent.
Just finished this game earlier. It’s utterly fantastic right from the first moment. I was particularly impressed with how accessible it is, and how effortlessly channels games like Breath of the Wild and Animal Crossing whilst still remaining very much its own thing. It’s a perfect game to spend an afternoon enjoying.
So, they said that it has a rhythm game mode which sounds great. Does anyone know if these will be different to those on the switch game or if they’re simply going to port that content to this one as a bonus?
@Tisteg80 I’ll be doing the same thing in the future, too. I’m not a regular Minecraft player and was unaware of the problems with the game. Assumed that being such a popular game it’d at least be playable. Live and learn I guess!
I’ve said this on a previous article, but their new Jurassic World DLC was a complete disaster on switch. Barely loads and is is full of blue areas. It’s absolutely unplayable. Here’s hoping we see some tangible improvements across the board from Mojang.
@PiggyDan16 That's insane, I had no idea it had those kind of issues! I've only dipped into Minecraft on switch to play some of the survival mode with my wife before we moved onto other games. The Jurassic World DLC appealed as I'm big on the original films and I assumed incorrectly that a game as popular as Minecraft on a huge system like the Switch would actually work. What I find even more astounding, though, is the lack of noise coming from the community about this!
Just a heads up for everyone, I bought this earlier this morning and it’s practically unplayable. The park is on such a scale and there are so many things happening that the switch doesn’t seem able to load it all. Taking the monorail at the start, I was faced with huge blue areas that had not loaded and random pop in. For most of it, I was just watching unloaded areas roll by. Things seemed better when I was walking around, but as soon as I was tasked with taking the helicopter to different areas I was met with blue areas with the odd dinosaur popping in. When it does work, you’re only able to see a little way ahead of you at most, I’ve never seen anything like it before and I’m pretty angry that it’s gone on sale in this state. It’s a shame, because it seems like it’d be a great game and a lot of love has clearly gone into the design of it all.
@RunGMhx The order does not matter, although playing 1 first will provide some small story context to 4. Its generally agreed that 1 has the better story but 4 has the better gameplay. I loved the story in 4 as much as 1 personally. They’re both fantastic and well worth your time, especially at these same prices!
Anyone know if they Switch version of Banner of the Maid has an updated localisation from the Steam version? I was really interested until I saw on the Steam reviews that the story is only just about understandable due to poor translation. Did a little digging and the Chinese team behind it chose not to get a specialised team in for it and it really showed.
Their resources and talent are better spent on console releases in my opinion. There’s such mistrust around mobile gaming, most of it earned, that most people didn’t want to see Nintendo enter that world. With some of their recent decisions and actions being quite questionable (Mario Kart Tour) I think it’s only a good thing that they move away from mobile gaming!
I'm quietly hopeful that this game coming out on PC is a sign of change from Atlus and that they'll also be bringing it to Switch. I played it on Vita and it's one of my favourite games. I'd jump at the chance to play it again!
Very tempted, but need to see reviews before I commit. I’m a little suspicious that there’s not been any yet. From what I’ve heard, the PS4 version had a lot of technical issues when it launched so I’m interested to see how the switch version holds up.
I played about twenty hours of this game on 3DS and it just wouldn’t click. Was there a big difference between the 3DS and Wii versions or was the game just not for me?
Unlikely, and probably another example of a company using a place-holder or jumping the gun. Not to say that it releasing next month wouldn't be amazing!
To be expected, really. Whilst it’s a shame to not have much new coming out, it does give us all a chance to work through our backlogs and play some old favorites. Plus, for those of us with PS4s, things are looking great over the next couple of months
It’s more likely that Tom Nook’s family was ‘disappeared my for not paying their loan on time. You only need to look into his cool, dead eyes to know he’s a raccoon dog that will stop at nothing to collect what he’s due...
Despite the city I work in shutting down all public transport and closing shops, my place of work forced all staff to come to work, despite it not being necessary for our profession, and against the constant requests of the staff. It was only when the government forced the place to close that we were allowed to work from home. The employees at Game and Gamestop are just some of many staff bases seeing their employers put profits first. In the case of Game, all we can do as consumers is to call the company out on social media and go digital to further reinforce the point.
With the affect that the Coronavirus is having on various industries, it’s not unreasonable to think that it’s affected the availability of parts and production for a range of unannounced Nintendo games. The reason we haven’t had a direct yet is probably down to them having to rearrange their schedule due to internal delays and difficulties. With the way things are at the minute they might not actually know when they can distribute their upcoming products.
