@JohnnyMind yep with all the games out at the moment , i cant see Star Wars outlaws having much sales on other platforms, unless there giving it away for a fiver
yeah Outlaws has been out on other platforms for over a year and i personally bought it for £24. I cant see many buying the game on PS5/XBXOX now and if they are its so cheap its a no brainer/
for all we know the 7% Xbox sales might only be 100 copies. , so actual numbers might be poo for all we know.
percentages don't give a indication of how ell its doing.
Played on Xbox , it runs well, for me I take this over over MKW any day. I preferred Sonic Transformed over MK8 , MK8 is a lot better then MKW.
On XBOX THE VISUALS LOOK SUBLIME. Everything moves well. yet to try the Switch version. The game pops in visuals and it was a pleasure to try this out. Ill got MKW with the bundle ,but hardly play it. but it looks like I'll get this on Xbox and maybe the Switch 2 version on cart when it drops.
Sega who have done many key cards , might switch , with the new Sonic Racing game , but we wont know till nearer release which is after the other platforms,.
Shinobi on Switch is a download code, unless you order the proper physical from Limited Run at a higher price point.
I bought it at Launch instead of SF6 once i found out sf6 was a key card. apart from the stupidly priced bargain's on the shop (under £5 to £10 ) I'm only buying physical media for my Switch 2, on a cart. I have cyberpunk, Donkey Kong Bananaza , and today i picked up the switch 2 version of Kirby Forgotten Land. Next will be Demon Ex Machina ...
if this happens then the PS6 wont be backward compatible with physicals , which sell quite largely on the system current.
having a fragmented system with different skus at different levels of backward compatibility wont help either.
if they wanted to go this route they would have to start fresh with one system using cartridges, and that would lean itself to the problems the Switch 2 is having with the game key fiasco.
prices will skyrocket. They should stick to what they know best.
I feel a big shake up is coming in the game industry when the next gen starts. I reckon if it goes more leaning to disc free systems then many might just jump ship and go the PC route for there playtime.
some may just abandon modern gaming full stop.
I like many reason if I cant hold it in my hand. then I ain't bothering.
well i just got the Switch one version physical via Limited run, Kiwami 2 i have on order for Xbox. As i do Yakuza Song of Life. All the rest i have on PS4 or minus the first Like a Dragon (which i have to get) and the new Pirate one.
There's not much else i think will come to Switch 2 in the series unless it's heavily scaled back.
@MasterGraveheart here here ! i agree you still need to install it to the system with a key card and that takes up space you want to reserve for digital only games.
the third parties saw it as a way to have a physical presence in retail store fronts. I agree stop buying them. what's the point. I would have bought Street fighter 6 on cart at launch. but there was no way i was gonna pay £50 for a digital code. Ill but it when it goes down in price on the store front to £10 or something.
it reminds me of the anime from the 90's , ultra violent bloodletting with quite questionable undertones. I'm all for it. Bring it On. my only concern is the various art styles depicted in cut scenes and actual gameplay seem at odds with each other.
@SirLink ++ Well considering the size, of Indy this will be a game Key , i have the game on Series X and it ways in about 119 gb.
Even the PS5 disc was just a key for a download and that disc could have held the game. Doubt there gonna ship on two cartridges and to compress that much i think is impossible.
@electrolite77 with the Switch 1 , games where priced accordingly. But with these Switch 2 releases, which come out at £60 odd pounds providing there on the actual cart is a substantial amount more then many of these games actually sold at launch on other platforms.
Plus regardless of the title. many games on the OG Switch are much more expensive to buy then there counterparts on other platforms. Even used.
And in many cases you geta inferior version. Its different if the game is launched the same time as other platforms.
Thing is all these games can be played on PS5 and Xbox Series much better. Plus most of the PS5 versions are on the disc. As are many of the Xbox ones. Plus , yes ai like the word Plus. Plus these games will be cheaper on the other systems by a long shot by the time any of these came out. In fact a lot of them can be got with huge discounts.
Then there's the whole Game Key debacle . How many of these will be Game Keys. I aint buying those at full price. In fact any game on Game Key has a value to me of around £15-£20 .
So why don't all these developers just create decent games on a 64gb card. which utilise the Switch 2 for what it is.
If I want to play any of the above games, I'll play on my Xbox or my PS5 when i get one before Christmas.
yeah thee above are not gonna make the Switch 2 any better.
the whole mouse control thingy throws it out of the window for me really. I game sitting down in a arm chair I sometimes game standing for the odd old Wii game , or when using VR , but mostly go for games where I'm sitting. I don't have a table to game on that's large enough for mouse control. so yeah this game is a no go area.
being it has the new world i will be buying on Switch 2. played the demo, liked it. but Switch one copies where going for £40 area. so might as well buy the full blown Switch 2 version
I'm thinking the release for this on Switch 2 will announce in a forthcoming Nintendo proper direct. In late August or Early October. Its Virtua Fighter , i have very iteration, it's a must buy for me across multiple platforms.
from what i found, the MKW bundle is in shorter supply. there are more stocks of the Stand alone unit, hence why physical sales of MKW are high.
It was the same day of release. stores had ample stocks of Switch 2 , but the MKW bundle unless you pre ordered you had no choice but to buy the stand alone and a £75 copy of MKW.
Nintendo know what there doing. And with the announcement of the Pokemon bundle incoming. The MKW bundle will disappear. Yes more people buying MKW at £75 a pop.
If I didn't get it bundled I wouldn't have bothered with it to be honest. MK8 is far better game. And i have that on WiiU .
not got one yet, i have a couple of Switch 1 compatible controllers but they don't seem to work. Or I am just having difficulty pairing them. £75 a lot of dosh for a controller and if i do get one it may be later down the line. Joycon are sufficing currently. and ai bought a split reverse V charge grip which i use , though i did buy the Nintendo charge grip which was like £30 , but don't find it as comfortable as the much cheaper split reverse V shape grip i bought. go figure.
if the webcam was of high quality and resolution it may have sold better or if we could use it to take snap shots for creating Mii's or it was used in a game like mixed reality it may be a better option.
if i ever have a desire to use a camera for actual online face chat I will use my PC webcam. But I highly doubt that will ever happen. as i don't do much of the online stuff .
A Great game, and that's what i gave a 8. It's fun and engaging, colourful and funny in places. Great mechanics and only the camera is a issue at some points.
Having not had a Switch and Switch2 being my go to for all those Switch tiles i missed I'm currently also playing Zelda Echoes of Wisdom , a title i would put on equal footing as Bananza .
Im a good few hours in on Bananza and each new level does not let me down. Great to see DK back in a new adventure.
And a must buy for all Switch 2 owners and probably the only must buy for the machine at present.
Giving I think the previous edition of Mario Kart is better then MKW. But maybe that does not mean much as I preferred Sonic Racing Transformed over Mario Kart on WiiU.
I really only got into Nintendo in the N64 days, buying a used console , mainly because of the RARE games on the system.
But Iwata san turned the tables on how we played games, I know he wasn't solely responsible for the Gamecube. But spearheaded the launch i believe.
It was the first Nintendo console I purchased new and at launch. As i did the Wii , the DS , WiiU and 2DS.
Iwata and the team of Reggie and the European president of the time Satoru Shibata where great at coming across to gamers in the directs which I lovingly looked forward to.
Crazy how much fun a presentation on video games could be so enjoyable because of the passion of these people.
Gaming legends are truly few and far between, Iwata San was at the top of the tier. Ad the the day i heard of his passing i had just come back from London's Hyper Japan Festival where Nintendo had a massive display at the O2 arena.
I was dumfounded and just couldn't believe it. Sorely missed and irreplaceable.
I have only just entered back into Nintendo with Switch 2. As i boycotted the Switch due to Kimishima's complete obliteration of all Games in development for Wii U at the time. A 13 Million install base who actually supported the company in it's harder times. and who where software starved.
I Know for sure Iwata San never would have done that. Iwata San a legend who shall go down in history as one of the great Geniuses of our time.
I haven't really done long sessions on mine to find out, 90 minutes max. But his Heatwave at present is making everything electrical work overtime. I set up my Meta quest 3s last night to stream from my Xbox. half hour and i had to turn t off. my head was like on fire.
The overlords at Nintendo will control what you do with their hardware. even though you own it. basically by bricking the unit they have stolen your money. ban the console , don't make it a redundant piece of plastic. Don't they care about the environment. it will end up in landfill.
Truth be told, if the likes of Yakuza 0 , Street Fighter 6 and either Hitman or Hogwarts where actual games on carts and not game keys, i easy would have bought those.
In the end i bought the Mario Kart bundle, and Cyberpunk and then purchased a few Switch 1 games, like Shredders Revenge, Yars Rising, Terracotta, Dynasty Warriors, Omen of Sorrow on cart. A couple new and the rest used.
But then never having a Switch, it was a easy pickings and they all cost a lot less then the Game keys i would have bought.
I also bought a couple digital titles like Mortal Kombat 11 for £6.49 , the ultimate edition. And OutRun ( as i must have that on every possible console i own) And Virtua Racing .
Suppose Im lucky i can get some Switch titles like Splatoon 3, Kirby Forgotten Lands, Luigi Mansion3 , as the Switch library is new to me.
I know I bought a aliexpress case for about £5, and it does the job. console sits low enough and zips go all the way round to the back. . it even has two straps at each corner to hold the Switch2 down.
sometimes a more expensive option is more expensive than intended.
I gave it a solid 7 , not to be sneezed at. Don't think it's that much more enjoyable to MK8. Plus I have never thought of Mario Kart as the definitive kart racer. I enjoy it. and its a good game. Not worth £75.00 thought . considering MK8 cost me £30 when new , the £34 for the included digital copy on Switch 2 is about right.
Not dipped in on this yet, waiting to see if they do a Physical copy with all the extra tracks and stuff in the future. Have the original on Wii U and love that game, though i find the later classes and tracks quite a challenge
Looking forward to this , finding MKW a bit like Deja view , it's open world is nice, but a bit boring to be honest. overall not really any different to MK8 . Glad i got the Switch 2 Bundle , if i had paid £75 for it i would have been well disappointed.
So I think Sonic Racing Crossworlds will fill the gap for my kart racing addiction. I'm thinking will the Angry Birds appear.
@JohnnyMind Yakuza 0 is a mind-blowing game, you should have a great time with it. .. I too am waiting on the Yakuza Kiwami from Limited Run,for Switch . I am wondering if there waiting to see if the copies boot up on the Switch 2 from cart.
But then it just could be there really slow at getting them out, as i am waiting for Yakuza 0 physical , i played mine digitally on Xbox. Hoping Kiwami is ore balanced to the PS2 ORIGINAL AS I HAD REAL PROBLEMS WITH CERTAIN FIGHTS ON THAT ONE BACK IN THE DAY.
wow what a disaster, obviously they saw the money that EA offered and took the bait.
It would have been better to sell to someone like Sega for less. How wonderful it would have been to have a Codemasters new updates of Sega Rally, Daytona, Manx, and the like.
this reminds me of the terrible loss of Bizarre Creations who got bought by Activision back in the day, they where another great Racing game studio, with the likes of F1 games, MSR, Project Gotham and there last game Blur.
Its crazy the greatest most legendary British games studios, all ruined by American acquisition. Another part of gaming soul dies by greed.

@DTfearTheBEARD Yes possible a GK on Switch 2 and Digital only on Xbox i reckon , unless it gets put out under Limited Run physically.
Problem being if it is physical it will be a small run
Re: Shenmue III Is Finally Confirmed For 'Nintendo Platforms'
Well I have the PS4 version, but interested in this enhanced version.
Depends if a actual physical release. being from 2019 , they may be digital only.
i will dive in if it's physical for either Xbox or Switch 2.
Looking at the enhancements over at Pure Xbox I can not see this being on Switch 1.
Of course if Sega where clever they would announce the remasters of 1+ 2 for Switch 2.

I'm thinking it may be because my matrix is set up for a alternative TV which was a 3D one. Got to play with the dip switches to sort it.

Re: Switch 2 Exclusive Yakuza 0: Director's Cut Gets An Extensive Overview Trailer
Re: Rumour: Iconic Studio Codemasters May Soon Close For Good
wow what a disaster, obviously they saw the money that EA offered and took the bait.
It would have been better to sell to someone like Sega for less.
How wonderful it would have been to have a Codemasters new updates of Sega Rally, Daytona, Manx, and the like.
this reminds me of the terrible loss of Bizarre Creations who got bought by Activision back in the day,
they where another great Racing game studio, with the likes of F1 games, MSR, Project Gotham and there last game Blur.
Its crazy the greatest most legendary British games studios, all ruined by American acquisition.
Another part of gaming soul dies by greed.
