Hahahahaa , Well thats some news, I read that Kotick will be out once its all signed over, you can't have a person like that associated with your new purchase. Also a slight kick in the teeth for Sony, A bit of Karma, and well due after there heavy handed dealings in the 90s and wanting to destroy Nintendo and Sega, Unfortuantly we lost Sega as a hardware manafacturer ,but some of that was their own doing, I reckon it will be good for Nintendo as they have colaborated in the past with MS. Also some of those Studios who have done nothing for years other then surport might be able to do some real fresh programming on older IP's and fresh ideas. Studios like Toys for Bob, Treyarch, and Vicarious Visions use to make great games. Treyarch did the Spiderman games I remember on PS1.And this is why the rumoured Golden Eye is coming as Activision held some of the rights. Now Microsoft and Nintendo can get ot on.
Bad for Sony = yeah a bit Good for Nintendo = I think so , they wo't hog all the IP Brilliant for Xbox owners and Microsoft = Hell yeah , nows thier chance to deliver the goods.
@Gamer_Zeus Tencent own shares in Platinum Now ,so Ninty not going to get involved. There best at just working as they do with them. As far as Sega , dont think Nintendo could afford them if they wanted to sell. Many people forget how big SEGA are, They are SegaSammy who are one of the biggest entertainment companies in Japan. Plus many forget how big in the PC space SEGA are. The Total war Series / Football Manager / And now with them in the film business with the Sonic movies which is making them even bigger.Also against it is Sega's work ethic compared to Nintendo is at odds with them. Add in the Arcade divisions which still rake in cash for Sega and Pachinko for Sammy.
@Orpheus79V I think your be surpised, Myself and i know of at least six others who owned Wii and DS, some even buying mutliple DS. And I have also seen and know a few who have a standard Switch and a Switch lite. So it is possible.
@CoffeeWithGames DITTO, It does strike me that Switch is 5 years old soon, Surely Nintty are well into development of the next Nintendo console, And once the chip shortage eases the new consoles and forthcoming Steam Deck are going to make it look quite dated. Be interesting to see what they come up with next or will they play it safe. But if the fragment the market with a new all singing version of switch that plays specific games that wont work on the older systems then they could be in trouble. I think they should just wait it out for 18 months and reveal a whole new system .
In the Wii generation people seem to forget Nintendo where a two console manafacturer up till the Switch. Selling past the Wii is only the part pf the battle. To sell what they did 7th generation they would have to sell total Wii and total DS sales. Clearly combining the software divisions has not given users twice the games, so there not going to beat their 7th gen output of 255 million consoles. There not even half way. I always look at the bigger picture.
@robr Oh yes I know Kalinske wanted Sega to go third party, but Stolar just made it worse. And yes I know Saturn had many more great games then Dreamcast, bit that was due to Saturn actually being on the market longer and in the West we got a lot more good Dreamcast games then we got Saturn Games, due to them all being left in Japan. Its just a shame many are lost to Western gamers who can not read or Understand Japanese. Though I have a few Import Saturn games. In the end the gaming world lost part of its soul the day Sega went software only.With Nintendo really the only surviving Video game hardware manafacturer who are not a just a a sideline to to a big electronics consumer company.
Even with all the furfore of Sega's money spending , Stolar is probably the reason Sega went third party, This man , a former Sony employee ( Was he a sabotuer for Sony) at E3 stated on a public showcase that Saturn was not Sega's future, He then refused to greenlight any 2d games for the Saturn from Japan for Wetsern release., Games which the Saturn blew the Playstation out the water on. He then bought the 2K studio for sports games , pisiing of EA Sports , a Sega surporter for years. He then Dropped the price of Dreamcast at Launch to $199.00 In spite of Sega Japan wanting a $250.00 price so they could recoup some money . He went behind their back. At beginning of Dreamcast Sega where not losing money. But after a poor Japan launch due to shortage of chips, Stolar ballsed it up by taking away any saftey net for Sega by making them lose $50 a console. Had it sold at $50 more it would have sold still and Sega would not have the lossees they incured. thats $50 nearly 10 Million times. Bernie Stolar was the death nell to Sega and they should have fired him the moment he stood on stage to trash the Sega Saturn. I for one would have gladly paid another £50.00 for my launch day Dreamcast and Im sure many others would have to.

Yes those early 80s, the 8 Bits ruled. I was in the Speccy camp and enjoyed Outrun I remember,you had to put the music cassettee on a tape deck and play it seperatly as the speccy couldnt' handle the game and the music. I used to put the music on my Brothers Marantz HI-FI and turn up the volume while playing.And yes Operation Wolf and Chase HQ where stellar to. And like some one else mentioned here the games where affordable for for kids most of the time. Though I was working and would purchase three to four games a week.
When the Mario 64 came out i REMEMBER SEEING IT ON IMPORT at CEX in London. It was the same time Nights came out for the Saturn. Unfortunalty Playstation had upset the apple cart for both Nintendo and Sega. I managed to grasp a Second Hand N64 unboxed mind, for £50 less then a year after release in the UK, and Ocarina of time was one of those games that I played the hell out of on it, I never did buy Mario 64.
It seems the early years of the charts showcased varied entires at Xmas but the likes of Fifa and COD have made it stale in the later years. But maybe thats becuase game devs in the early years had a better imagination and released of the wall games as well. Now most big studios are to scared to try anything different and its rehash after rehash.

A good movie with some real martial arts, thanks to the late Bradley Allan who was given cart blarnche in the action choreography. I did a big review on my site. But back to gaming, Being he is actually a gamer he's probably best suited to present. He may well be passionette about the games and being a actor he can give it large. I find most times actual games developers and or publishers do presentations that thay come across as boring, Game makers sit at desks on computers for most part, there not face to face people . Its a bit like when you go into a store and the sales person is knowledgeable about the products your buying, there often just like actors, as each person has to approach each person they serve differently. Of course you sometimes get a sales person that has no clue , has no knowledge or just doesn't offer infomation. Like some people shouldn't be in retail, some people should just not be presenters, and it applies to a lot of games devs, snoooozzzzze fest.... Will I be watching the game awards? Probably as I'm a night hawk, yes Im in the UK so its a late one for me.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Yes two Indie style Isometric games, I remember during Wii U, I thought a Tomb Raider is bound to come, Out of the Trilogy, the first two came to 360. And if I remember rightly the team Nixxes Software (now bought by Sony) where one of the developers of 360 version, I also understand that they where invloved in the conversion of either Dues Ex or Mass Effect 3 on WiiU along with Straight Wright. So there's no doubt the WiiU could do both the First Tomb Raider games, So Now Tomb Raider comes to Switch, and still they cant convert two games that came to the 360.
Of the two games Switch is getting, I have played both, The first is quite good if playing alone as well, the second lends it self to multiplayer more I would say... But honestly I would not pay money for them, I got both through games with Gold, and thats about what their worth. Fine for a blast , but just a run of the mill isometric puzzler with a Tomb Raider skin.

Yes this throwaway market is now making it hard for everyone. I don't mind a used item and have bought a few things used on auction sites these past few months . And even though i did grab some great bargains , because of this chip shortage those used items are fecthing a lot more money then they would have before the pandemic .
But it also makes many realise that you don't always need to go the new route to upgrade and like me in the future many others may go the used route if they can grab a bargain.
Funny though i recently had to buy a new fridge , not because my old one was broken , it was just old and because of a new kichen going in i needed a new fridge as the old one was to large. Now seeing that my old fridge still worked , though a bit tatty i threw it away . I was told by the guy at Currys i spoke to that my fridge for recyling wwas probably a record of the oldest fridge they have recycled. The record was 37 years old . Mine was at least 44 years old and I remember we got it second hand.
One of my Favourite systems . Still play all the time but then i have a vast catalogue of games. Yes never have problems getting games online in Splatoon or MK8 , or even NFSMW. Marvellous game machine and I like the gamepad , just the battery life even with larger capacity battery is a pain due to the Wii U 's constantly checking for up-dates which means the gamepad is always connected to the system so it drains a bit each day. The gamepad literally is in standby mode all the time , the only way to turn it off is to take the battery out. But the fact that I never bought a Switch is a testament to how good the Wii U is .
Gaming chairs offer the right support for sitting for lengthy periods at desktops or gaming setups. I have three chairs which can be classed as gaming chairs. I have a couple of Brazen and a GT FORCE for my desktop work. Also I am sure if Reggie whose got more money then most of us could afford a new chair if he wanted one. Basically the company saw the petition as a great way to promote their brand. And look you have this great advert here for their goods. If they had a given a chair to a disabled gamer or some one who had no chance to get even a inexpensive chair then i would applaud them . As much as I find Reggie OK , he has more then enough money to buy his own chairs , he should have given the chair away.
All Hail Neo Geo, If your really content with just Nintendo,Sony and Microsoft then you don't know gaming. Sony and Microsoft are big conglomerates which have other business entities. I would love it if Sega joined the fray then two of the past big names in consoles would be back in the limelight. The more choice you have the harder the competition tries. Nintendo really need someone to enter their market to shake them up i think and make them think out of the box again. Atari seemed to have fallen of a ledge though , I watched the video of one of the backers getting his Atari VCS,. it's hilarious . I did feel sorry for him , he had spent over $300 on a machine which came with a classic retro-collection of 100 games from Atari's past , all of which you can play on a emulator for free. No new games out for the system. Even their online store is broken as he tried to buy part two of the classics collection and when purchasing it failed to download the game , so he hits the button again and it charges his credit card again. He gets charged twice and still has no game. I was rolling up but i did I feel sorry for him. In all honesty Atari are just a company logo for Infogrammes. But Neo Geo , Sega I would welcome with open arms back in the console race even if they went a different route. Then we have the Amiico launching next year by Intellavision , which I think looks quite neat , it needs a few more good games shown and it would help if it was £50-£60 less as at £249.00 at Argos on pre-order is the same as a Series S.
Back in the day of around the 80's/early 90's we had loads of gaming systems on the market with the Sinclair Spectrum,Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Acorn Electron,Atari ST,Commodore Amiga ,Nes,and Master System all vying for peoples money at the same time, what a time to be a gamer that was. I use to go to the big game shows in London back then and all the publishers would be there. They would have random mad moments when they would throw copies of their new games into the crowd , it was extraordinary and exciting, if you where lucky you grab a game ,loads of promotional items and all for free. So I am all for some of the hardcore console makers returning to the fold.
It's being released after to Christmas so we can fell like it's Christmas all over again after this dismal year. Roll on 2021 and Christmas in January. Wonder if this will appear on the Nintendo Indie Showcase. Long Live WiiU - well in our hearts at least , a formidable console that many Nintendo die hard fans ignored.

I have played the first one but only on a emulator on Dreamcast. I would like it on the original Neo Geo CD format, but those Neo Geo games go for crazy money now. I would be interested to play this new iteration as I quite like the original.
Cor the NDF are out in force here today, Lol. Is Nintendo aimed at Kids ? Yes i think so, even the Switch adverts which have Tens and younger adults in show them like young children. I think NAGOSHI has been stuck in Yakuza land for to long though, though i like the series i do wish he would think of a fresh idea which is not connected to the franchise. When Sega went third party they split the games across the platforms, and yes the Gamecube got a lot of more coulorfull games aimed towards kids or younger adults ad teens.Monkey Ball , Skies of Arcadia , Billy Hatcher , Sonic Heroes . the other consoles got Sega's more mature orientated games , not that there games are overly mature around this time. Sega is a legend in gaming, and without them Nintendo would not be what it is today, and why you ask, Because without all those early battles between Nintendo and Sega made both companies work hard. at being the best they could be. If Nintendo had been left to there own devices against the likes of Atari and Collecovision then i don't think we would have the software we have today from Nintendo . Nintendo do best when pushed in the corner. There's this attitude towards Sega that their a shadow of there former self because of their mishaps in the console business. But look into it and your see there biggest downfall was the constant bickering between Sega Japan and Sega America .Also that they seemed to develop way more consoles then they actually released , Two Dreamcast to release one. Variations of the Megadrive and nomad and just the one released , Another Saturn console never released . They burnt money. Yes there sitting on many IP's but slowly through collaborations and deals new games have arrived. Look at the Ages collection on Switch and 3DS. Switch got Streets of Rage 4, Panzer Dragoon, Sonic Racing, Sonic Mania,Sonic Forces, and more on the way. People forget that Sega is a huge company, their huge in the PC market. Football Manager , Total War Series, Alien Isolation, the forthcoming Too Human. All Sega Studios. I'm sure of Sega decided to never release another game on a Nintendo platform the cries would come. Because where you might not care for the likes of EA releasing games on your favoured platform , trust me Nintendo's platform without Sega games would add a avoid to the platform. Is the Nintendo aimed at Kids to a degree, Yes , but is that a bad thing? No of course not because what better place to start gaming then on a Nintendo Platform in this day and age. I dread the day when the likes of the big corps like Sony and Microsoft ,Google and Amazon are the only gaming platforms we have and they have swallowed up all the big studios. Nintendo is not perfect and often take two steps back for every one forward. And rely on selling the same game again and again to gullible fans. Admit it we have all done it! But to get upset over a remark from a developer and the remarks i see in opposition is disturbing , this is one of guys who can call the shots as to what is released on whatever platform. Nintendo needs support from as many devs as possible and Sega is a important one. Saw it was coming to Wii U back in the day, thought mmm! I think i want to play this. Saw a PS2 version for sale in CEX for £2.00 and bought it. Tried it and thought i like this. Then it released on Wii U and i got it in the sale digitally for a OK price, loved the smoother crisper look. Then saw a used physical copy on Wii U and bought that as well. That's not to say i like the game .
It's not a terrible game , it plays OK, a bit tricky at times and very 5th gen game play and graphically not very demanding on any platform from what i gather.
Any THING THAT KEEPS A LEGENDARY company like SNK afloat is fine by me. Companies all round the world buy shares in other companies all time. . A Chinese Company owns most of SNK, Leyou bought a 81.25% share from E Kawasaki (SNK 's original Founder) , I'm sure they care where the money comes from. Nintendo made there money making casino goods for the Yakuza run casinos. Dig deep enough and your find many more dark secrets about many companies I'm sure. If anything under Leyou SNK has returned more to their former glories , with more console focused releases , The Mini and other projects. Yes it may seem strange that the Saudi Prince has bought 33% shares ,but if it's a public company that's how it goes. It still means that Leyou still owns a 48% share of the company and the main shareholder still. Maybe where get some Arabian style fighting game. Be a crack
You wait all, in the new year their announce a new revised model Switch. And new games , It's a shame about these games going , but they may just re-release them individually at a higher price point. As far as Mario Maker , yes it's a shame, and as i have it on Wii U and haven't don't loads of it , it seems I'll have to get some in before it's gone. But that's always the problem with online based games . It's a shame that they gave it only five years , as many 360 and PS3 titles still have their servers going . I fear next for Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 on Wii U as they are two games i play online. It looks like soon that the Dreamcast will have more online playable games then the Wii U soon. Consoles of old where simpler and you just got your disc or cart ,put it in ,played the game as it was , No updates, Glitches and bugs and we all loved it. Prior Gen 7 was the best time to be a gamer i think. But i guess we can't turn back the clock to twenty years ago. , Though i wouldn't mind.
A terrible thing to happen. People work to enjoy life and get the things to make them happy. To have some thief take it before you have even sen it is aweful. If your expecting a new console or anything like this which is high profile in th e news then you should have your phone ready . If you see the delivery guy pull up and not get out , take pictures of the van or vehicle. If he delivers a parcel , you take a picture of him. and his van . Make him wait till you have opened the parcel on the doorstep. to check items.
These people should be prosecuted to the full and serve time. And never get a job again where there in contact with valuables. If you can and you find you have been scammed. Restrain the guy and call the Police.
But taking pictures of the delivery guy and van is good at least you can prove who he was. Awe so annoyed about this. So sad .
@ekwcll No i agree. the 2K sports games where great on DREAMCAST. But you can't deny not having Madden , Fifa , Need for Speed by EA on the console didn't hurt sales to casual gamers who play a lot of those games. Me i love my Dreamcast , i have six consoles from various regions and play them to this day. . And it's amazing that the Dreamcast is getting new games still , and about ten have been released or to be released this year. Dreamcast lives and it's still a great console whose games still look great.
@Darknyht , Dreamcast had a good launch in both the states and Europe. I know Japan was slow because of shortages . I think your mixing up the Saturn with Dreamcast, It was the Saturn that Sega launched early and pissed of many stores and devs at the time, one of them being EA who had many games in development for the system. . Dreamcast did i a lot more right then wrong. But yes the DVD gamble was a big one. I would have gladly paid another £100 for the Dreamcast at launch if it had a DVD drive. . Not that i needed a DVD player at the time as i already had one. It was Sony's hype from the previous generation that held peoples attention. And of course Sega's mismanagement and Berne Stolar who who i think was a terrible Sega USA president. Basically Sega USA had to much power compared to Nintendo USA who are merely a extension of Nintendo Japan. The Wii U was slightly different. It was the game drought and advertising. Though Sega Europe's poor advertising for Dreamcast didn't help it either. Blowing there budget on sponsering football clubs like Arsenal with Dreamcast logo's and no one new what a Dreamcast was.
@KryptoniteKrunch , Yes marketing was a low for them. I remmeber the Christmas advert for Wii U , which wasn't that bad. But it got pulled by the Advertising Standards board in the UK for misinterpretation as it implied that all games could be played on the Gamepad , (which not all could) as some needed both the TV and the Pad. Instead of adapting the advert or making a new one. they just gave up advertising it all together and this was a month after launch. Having just bought the console i did feel from a advertising point that they where giving up on the whole hope of selling any. I love the console but i was like should I sell it , but my Xbox 360 had just gone RROD in the December and i thought no , i need a games console of a modern generation to play on.
@Sissyrobyn996 Yes your probably right. EA have to much hold over the games AS FAR AS INFLUENCE GOES. Once EA abandoned the console in the first few months other publishers followed suit. I think only Ubisoft stuck a round for a while and releasing quite a few games on the system. To think we never got a Tomb Raider on Wii U as Square Enix quickly pulled the plug after Dues Ex. The same can be said for the Dreamcast. EA would not support it because they wanted to be the leading Sports publisher on the console. Sega had just bought 2K studios to make sports games and said i don't think so. EA just walked away saying well when the Dreamcast sells a million consoles they would Support it from what i read. . Dreamcast sold a Million well quick , EA ignored them , Truth is you need the casual gamers to succeed and with out your Fifa 's , Madden's , Need For Speed's ,SSX of the time the Dreamcast now matter how great it's library failed to get traction once PS2 WAS looming which had all those EA franchises. Same with Wii U , a year after launch , PS4 and Xbox One had all those EA games . Casual gamers voted with their wallets by buying the competition. .
Day One for me with Wii U . I had it delivered to my place of work , got it home and remembered i had to go out , didn't set it up till the next day. . Most underrated console of our time. Yes poor marketing and naming probably didn't help. But i found myself playing this console so much. . I still use it till this day and game on it regularly , but not everyday like i use to. Miiverse was excellent and was gutted when it was discontinued. With over 70 physical games and over 60 digital games i have lots to get through on Wii U. Hence why i never purchased a Switch. I had purchased my Xbox one at Christmas 2016 so a new console the following year was out of the question anyhow.
I might one day pick up the White version Wii U as a spare as i would hate to not be able to play my Wii U games. Maybe when Nintendo do their next console i might dive in. .
For now for my Nintendo fix my Wii U and 2DS will suffice. Along with my Wii , Gamecube, N64 , and SNES. All of which are hooked up ready to play .

3D FOR SURE . Thought the recent remake of Link to the past looked nice. Is that 2D or more 2.5D. Not actually being a Switch owner i was not quite sure. Yes i still game on my WiiU and my 2DS for my Nintendo fix.
Considering the price of this title i thought it may be better in the look department. The forthcoming Okinawa Rush looks way more interesting and also the 9 Monkeys of Shaolin which i played a demo of is a really fun game to in the mould of Streets of Rage. Looks like we may be inundated with these type of games now that Streets of Rage four done so well.
@Zidentia I don't know , the real estate deal thing was surrounding his own home. ,it was more to do with doing a favour with the Seller where Jackie got a reduced rate for his property ,but did not have his name attached to it ,because the seller did not want to upset other purchasers. From what i understand Chinese government seized the building and JACKIE is currently having to prove his home is actually his, even though he has lived there for years . Many Celebrities do adverts for various companies , it's a good way to promote. But that still does not mean Jackie was directly involved in any reverse engineering or piracy of Nintendo systems. The title should read that Jackie Chan had done a commercial for the system .
Headline suggests Jackie was behind them ripping of the hardware. Jackie did a advert for a company in China to appeal to Chinese buyers , that's it. With so many clones in the region i doubt there be missed , other then for nostalgia purposes as it's not as if they actually created a platform . Maybe you should change that headline as it paints Jackie in a bad light. I have met the man and know many who know him very well. Not a good headline i must say. Jackie might pop round if your not careful.
Awesome that more people with a disability can have a alternate controller for their needs, but yes these controllers can be expensive by the time you add the extra buttons needed for your specifics. Well done to Hori for helping more people getting in the game.
@masterLEON Yes i saw that on Twitter later in day. I think what people don't understand is Sega Sammy are so huge a company and that there business are far and a field. Because one part is not doing fine does not mean another sector cant do ok. Even today's structural reform news though sad for some employees is what's being going on in Business worldwide . Sega like many other companies will weather the storm . And it's improvements in Home console and PC area that will be it's big earner in the future and not the Pachinko ,Arcade business. I think once this whole covid 19 clears ,hopefully in 2021.that they can get back to doing what they do best and that's entertain
Yes this is not so good , after Yesterdays news around the arcade sector. But this is very much like what Happened with Nintendo and the Wii U . Where execs took a pay cut to recoup losses. and i just done the math. 10bn Yen equates to 73 million Pounds in GBP . By today's standards for a big corporation it's probably not as much a tragic tale , remember back in the Dreamcast days that Shenmue 1 & 2 cost Sega GBP 53 million to make and that lost money. One triple AAA game title costs more to make then Sega's losses this forthcoming fiscal year. I just wish they would appoint a new President for Sega and that Sammy's president does not just let Sega carry on for the sake of his son having a job HE'S CLEARLY not good at.
Sega will survive , they will turn it around providing Top level management is sorted and if they can't then Sammy should sell Sega to someone who actually cares for the brand lock stock and barrel . It's never going to sell to Microsoft ,it will only ever sell to A Japanese company i reckon. But in the long run i do feel Sammy will retain Sega and maybe get there act together. Long Live Sega.

But the Japanese buy into all this stuff. and i bet Sega make a profit of it no problem. , Look how expensive the Astro city complete set up is ,as much as a PS5 OR Xbox series X . But it has sold out and i bet the profit margin on those are very good unlike the next gen consoles .
@Slowdive , YES THE Trocodero, ( I was trying to think of the name ) I use to visit there in the 90'S , Played Scud Race there for the first time . Was never a cheap day out mind. But with home consoles being so powerful even from the Dreamcast era ,it was inevitable that Arcades where gonna suffer , why go to a arcade when you can play at home .
This is SEGA Entertainment that's being sold, it's only the arcade locations , yes it's very sad that that famous SEGA branding will not be on those arcades ,unless GENDA keep it there for nostalgia . Many seem to think across the internet and twitter that SEGA are over , SEGA are still making arcade games and all there mini consoles and console games and PC games. This is SEGA selling the buildings which house the arcades ,it's a separate business and hopefully will free up cash for more other ventures for SEGA in the Home console games and Arcade Machines they make. SEGA is not over as the headline might suggest. Because Sega Sammy is a huge corporation and though sad , it's one of those things that was on the cards , Look how great Sega arcades where in the UK and ELSEWHERE in the Western World in the 90's , now there all gone. Sega who make the games ,Arcade machines , mini consoles,Films , toys and and stuff are still here as the Iconic company they have always been. And can any Switch / PS4 / Xbox One owner not agree that SEGA have been killing it with it's releases the past year or so. LONG LIVE SEGA
Yes the high price tag is going to keep people away, I bought this on WiiU at launch . it actually arrived the morning i was going to Hyper Japan in London , Nintendo had a big stand there and it's theme was Pikmin 3 ' I actually played it first at Hyper Japan at their demo booth , returning home later to unwrap my new sealed copy. Of note i only paid £29.99 for the game from now defunct online retailer Grainger games.
Back to Legends though ,i feel it may not sell as well released in August ,it's competition is vast ,plus i know this sounds crazy but by giving Wii U owners the Challenge app they may created a few thousand U owners that have had their fill of Rayman Legends for now. Not everyone can afford to buy every major new game and come August there's going to be a few on the market .I hope they sell well on the U so that Ubi keep making good software for it.
Rayman was so one of the main games Nintendo where showing at their pre- launch events, it was one of the reasons i bought a U , i feel it would have sold mega in February as it was the one game many where looking forward to and would have sold a few systems to. For info as mentioned above, the Jaguar was a console with very few games and many rushed games that's why it failed. The Dreamcast did not fail it had some of the most amazing games at launch and beyond ,it all ended because of new Sega management and they had bled money since the Saturn they had to toss up between cancelling Dreamcast or one of their arcade divisions which produce Pachinko .Dreamcast lost .
Thing is if Nintendo drop the price now, they may need to appease the early buyers with some goodies like they did with the 3DS price drop. But even at 300 pounds for the premium you do get a game. And you can use existing Wii Accessories with it. Now i don't know if you can use a sixaxis controller with PS4 ,i read somewhere you could . If Nintendo do keep at the current price then they should switch the premium bundle to include one of the killer new games which are coming. A premium with Pikmin3 or Super Luigi would make it a competitive console. Keeping Nintendo land with it may be a bad idea as it's a old game now. Of course there's the hard drive issue to ,so it would cost another 40-50 pounds to add one of those for people wanting larger storage .In my own case i had a old drive around 320gb .i added it it worked fine .But i do believe the basic pack should be 200 pounds as it has no game ,no memory worth mentioning and not even a Wii sensor bar . I rest my case .

Hahahahaa , Well thats some news, I read that Kotick will be out once its all signed over, you can't have a person like that associated with your new purchase. Also a slight kick in the teeth for Sony, A bit of Karma, and well due after there heavy handed dealings in the 90s and wanting to destroy Nintendo and Sega, Unfortuantly we lost Sega as a hardware manafacturer ,but some of that was their own doing,
I reckon it will be good for Nintendo as they have colaborated in the past with MS. Also some of those Studios who have done nothing for years other then surport might be able to do some real fresh programming on older IP's and fresh ideas. Studios like Toys for Bob, Treyarch, and Vicarious Visions use to make great games. Treyarch did the Spiderman games I remember on PS1.And this is why the rumoured Golden Eye is coming as Activision held some of the rights. Now Microsoft and Nintendo can get ot on.

As far as Sega , dont think Nintendo could afford them if they wanted to sell. Many people forget how big SEGA are, They are SegaSammy who are one of the biggest entertainment companies in Japan. Plus many forget how big in the PC space SEGA are. The Total war Series / Football Manager / And now with them in the film business with the Sonic movies which is making them even bigger.Also against it is Sega's work ethic compared to Nintendo is at odds with them. Add in the Arcade divisions which still rake in cash for Sega and Pachinko for Sammy.

@CoffeeWithGames DITTO, It does strike me that Switch is 5 years old soon, Surely Nintty are well into development of the next Nintendo console, And once the chip shortage eases the new consoles and forthcoming Steam Deck are going to make it look quite dated. Be interesting to see what they come up with next or will they play it safe. But if the fragment the market with a new all singing version of switch that plays specific games that wont work on the older systems then they could be in trouble. I think they should just wait it out for 18 months and reveal a whole new system .

In the Wii generation people seem to forget Nintendo where a two console manafacturer up till the Switch. Selling past the Wii is only the part pf the battle. To sell what they did 7th generation they would have to sell total Wii and total DS sales. Clearly combining the software divisions has not given users twice the games, so there not going to beat their 7th gen output of 255 million consoles. There not even half way. I always look at the bigger picture.

@robr Oh yes I know Kalinske wanted Sega to go third party, but Stolar just made it worse. And yes I know Saturn had many more great games then Dreamcast, bit that was due to Saturn actually being on the market longer and in the West we got a lot more good Dreamcast games then we got Saturn Games, due to them all being left in Japan. Its just a shame many are lost to Western gamers who can not read or Understand Japanese.
Though I have a few Import Saturn games.
In the end the gaming world lost part of its soul the day Sega went software only.With Nintendo really the only surviving Video game hardware manafacturer who are not a just a a sideline to to a big electronics consumer company.

Even with all the furfore of Sega's money spending , Stolar is probably the reason Sega went third party, This man , a former Sony employee ( Was he a sabotuer for Sony) at E3 stated on a public showcase that Saturn was not Sega's future, He then refused to greenlight any 2d games for the Saturn from Japan for Wetsern release., Games which the Saturn blew the Playstation out the water on.
He then bought the 2K studio for sports games , pisiing of EA Sports , a Sega surporter for years. He then Dropped the price of Dreamcast at Launch to $199.00 In spite of Sega Japan wanting a $250.00 price so they could recoup some money .
He went behind their back.
At beginning of Dreamcast Sega where not losing money. But after a poor Japan launch due to shortage of chips, Stolar ballsed it up by taking away any saftey net for Sega by making them lose $50 a console. Had it sold at $50 more it would have sold still and Sega would not have the lossees they incured.

Bernie Stolar was the death nell to Sega and they should have fired him the moment he stood on stage to trash the Sega Saturn.

Yes those early 80s, the 8 Bits ruled. I was in the Speccy camp and enjoyed Outrun I remember,you had to put the music cassettee on a tape deck and play it seperatly as the speccy couldnt' handle the game and the music. I used to put the music on my Brothers Marantz HI-FI and turn up the volume while playing.And yes Operation Wolf and Chase HQ where stellar to. And like some one else mentioned here the games where affordable for for kids most of the time. Though I was working and would purchase three to four games a week.
When the Mario 64 came out i REMEMBER SEEING IT ON IMPORT at CEX in London. It was the same time Nights came out for the Saturn. Unfortunalty Playstation had upset the apple cart for both Nintendo and Sega. I managed to grasp a Second Hand N64 unboxed mind, for £50 less then a year after release in the UK, and Ocarina of time was one of those games that I played the hell out of on it, I never did buy Mario 64.
It seems the early years of the charts showcased varied entires at Xmas but the likes of Fifa and COD have made it stale in the later years. But maybe thats becuase game devs in the early years had a better imagination and released of the wall games as well. Now most big studios are to scared to try anything different and its rehash after rehash.

A good movie with some real martial arts, thanks to the late Bradley Allan who was given cart blarnche in the action choreography. I did a big review on my site. But back to gaming, Being he is actually a gamer he's probably best suited to present. He may well be passionette about the games and being a actor he can give it large. I find most times actual games developers and or publishers do presentations that thay come across as boring, Game makers sit at desks on computers for most part, there not face to face people .
Its a bit like when you go into a store and the sales person is knowledgeable about the products your buying, there often just like actors, as each person has to approach each person they serve differently. Of course you sometimes get a sales person that has no clue , has no knowledge or just doesn't offer infomation. Like some people shouldn't be in retail, some people should just not be presenters, and it applies to a lot of games devs, snoooozzzzze fest....
Will I be watching the game awards?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Yes two Indie style Isometric games, I remember during Wii U, I thought a Tomb Raider is bound to come, Out of the Trilogy, the first two came to 360. And if I remember rightly the team Nixxes Software (now bought by Sony) where one of the developers of 360 version, I also understand that they where invloved in the conversion of either Dues Ex or Mass Effect 3 on WiiU along with Straight Wright. So there's no doubt the WiiU could do both the First Tomb Raider games, So Now Tomb Raider comes to Switch, and still they cant convert two games that came to the 360.
Of the two games Switch is getting, I have played both, The first is quite good if playing alone as well, the second lends it self to multiplayer more I would say... But honestly I would not pay money for them, I got both through games with Gold, and thats about what their worth. Fine for a blast , but just a run of the mill isometric puzzler with a Tomb Raider skin.

Yes this throwaway market is now making it hard for everyone. I don't mind a used item and have bought a few things used on auction sites these past few months . And even though i did grab some great bargains , because of this chip shortage those used items are fecthing a lot more money then they would have before the pandemic .
But it also makes many realise that you don't always need to go the new route to upgrade and like me in the future many others may go the used route if they can grab a bargain.
Funny though i recently had to buy a new fridge , not because my old one was broken , it was just old and because of a new kichen going in i needed a new fridge as the old one was to large.
Now seeing that my old fridge still worked , though a bit tatty i threw it away . I was told by the guy at Currys i spoke to that my fridge for recyling wwas probably a record of the oldest fridge they have recycled. The record was 37 years old . Mine was at least 44 years old and I remember we got it second hand.

One of my Favourite systems . Still play all the time but then i have a vast catalogue of games. Yes never have problems getting games online in Splatoon or MK8 , or even NFSMW.
Marvellous game machine and I like the gamepad , just the battery life even with larger capacity battery is a pain due to the Wii U 's constantly checking for up-dates which means the gamepad is always connected to the system so it drains a bit each day. The gamepad literally is in standby mode all the time , the only way to turn it off is to take the battery out.
But the fact that I never bought a Switch is a testament to how good the Wii U is .

Gaming chairs offer the right support for sitting for lengthy periods at desktops or gaming setups. I have three chairs which can be classed as gaming chairs. I have a couple of Brazen and a GT FORCE for my desktop work. Also I am sure if Reggie whose got more money then most of us could afford a new chair if he wanted one. Basically the company saw the petition as a great way to promote their brand. And look you have this great advert here for their goods. If they had a given a chair to a disabled gamer or some one who had no chance to get even a inexpensive chair then i would applaud them .
As much as I find Reggie OK , he has more then enough money to buy his own chairs , he should have given the chair away.

I would love it if Sega joined the fray then two of the past big names in consoles would be back in the limelight. The more choice you have the harder the competition tries. Nintendo really need someone to enter their market to shake them up i think and make them think out of the box again. Atari seemed to have fallen of a ledge though , I watched the video of one of the backers getting his Atari VCS,. it's hilarious . I did feel sorry for him , he had spent over $300 on a machine which came with a classic retro-collection of 100 games from Atari's past , all of which you can play on a emulator for free. No new games out for the system. Even their online store is broken as he tried to buy part two of the classics collection and when purchasing it failed to download the game , so he hits the button again and it charges his credit card again. He gets charged twice and still has no game. I was rolling up but i did I feel sorry for him.
In all honesty Atari are just a company logo for Infogrammes.
But Neo Geo , Sega I would welcome with open arms back in the console race even if they went a different route. Then we have the Amiico launching next year by Intellavision , which I think looks quite neat , it needs a few more good games shown and it would help if it was £50-£60 less as at £249.00 at Argos on pre-order is the same as a Series S.
Back in the day of around the 80's/early 90's we had loads of gaming systems on the market with the Sinclair Spectrum,Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Acorn Electron,Atari ST,Commodore Amiga ,Nes,and Master System all vying for peoples money at the same time, what a time to be a gamer that was. I use to go to the big game shows in London back then and all the publishers would be there. They would have random mad moments when they would throw copies of their new games into the crowd , it was extraordinary and exciting, if you where lucky you grab a game ,loads of promotional items and all for free.
So I am all for some of the hardcore console makers returning to the fold.

Is Nintendo aimed at Kids ? Yes i think so, even the Switch adverts which have Tens and younger adults in show them like young children. I think NAGOSHI has been stuck in Yakuza land for to long though, though i like the series i do wish he would think of a fresh idea which is not connected to the franchise.
When Sega went third party they split the games across the platforms, and yes the Gamecube got a lot of more coulorfull games aimed towards kids or younger adults ad teens.Monkey Ball , Skies of Arcadia , Billy Hatcher , Sonic Heroes . the other consoles got Sega's more mature orientated games , not that there games are overly mature around this time.
Sega is a legend in gaming, and without them Nintendo would not be what it is today, and why you ask, Because without all those early battles between Nintendo and Sega made both companies work hard. at being the best they could be. If Nintendo had been left to there own devices against the likes of Atari and Collecovision then i don't think we would have the software we have today from Nintendo . Nintendo do best when pushed in the corner.
There's this attitude towards Sega that their a shadow of there former self because of their mishaps in the console business. But look into it and your see there biggest downfall was the constant bickering between Sega Japan and Sega America .Also that they seemed to develop way more consoles then they actually released , Two Dreamcast to release one. Variations of the Megadrive and nomad and just the one released , Another Saturn console never released . They burnt money.
Yes there sitting on many IP's but slowly through collaborations and deals new games have arrived. Look at the Ages collection on Switch and 3DS. Switch got Streets of Rage 4, Panzer Dragoon, Sonic Racing, Sonic Mania,Sonic Forces, and more on the way.
People forget that Sega is a huge company, their huge in the PC market. Football Manager , Total War Series, Alien Isolation, the forthcoming Too Human. All Sega Studios.
I'm sure of Sega decided to never release another game on a Nintendo platform the cries would come.
Because where you might not care for the likes of EA releasing games on your favoured platform , trust me Nintendo's platform without Sega games would add a avoid to the platform.
Is the Nintendo aimed at Kids to a degree, Yes , but is that a bad thing?
No of course not because what better place to start gaming then on a Nintendo Platform in this day and age.
I dread the day when the likes of the big corps like Sony and Microsoft ,Google and Amazon are the only gaming platforms we have and they have swallowed up all the big studios.
Nintendo is not perfect and often take two steps back for every one forward. And rely on selling the same game again and again to gullible fans. Admit it we have all done it!
But to get upset over a remark from a developer and the remarks i see in opposition is disturbing , this is one of guys who can call the shots as to what is released on whatever platform.
Nintendo needs support from as many devs as possible and Sega is a important one.
Can you imagine a world without the likes of Nintendo ,Sega Intellavision (Launching again in 2021) These are the last true video game legends. A sad day it would be.

Saw it was coming to Wii U back in the day, thought mmm! I think i want to play this. Saw a PS2 version for sale in CEX for £2.00 and bought it. Tried it and thought i like this. Then it released on Wii U and i got it in the sale digitally for a OK price, loved the smoother crisper look. Then saw a used physical copy on Wii U and bought that as well.
That's not to say i like the game .

A Chinese Company owns most of SNK, Leyou bought a 81.25% share from E Kawasaki (SNK 's original Founder) , I'm sure they care where the money comes from. Nintendo made there money making casino goods for the Yakuza run casinos. Dig deep enough and your find many more dark secrets about many companies I'm sure.
If anything under Leyou SNK has returned more to their former glories , with more console focused releases , The Mini and other projects. Yes it may seem strange that the Saudi Prince has bought 33% shares ,but if it's a public company that's how it goes. You wait all, in the new year their announce a new revised model Switch. And new games , It's a shame about these games going , but they may just re-release them individually at a higher price point. As far as Mario Maker , yes it's a shame, and as i have it on Wii U and haven't don't loads of it , it seems I'll have to get some in before it's gone. But that's always the problem with online based games . It's a shame that they gave it only five years , as many 360 and PS3 titles still have their servers going . I fear next for Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 on Wii U as they are two games i play online. It looks like soon that the Dreamcast will have more online playable games then the Wii U soon. Consoles of old where simpler and you just got your disc or cart ,put it in ,played the game as it was , No updates, Glitches and bugs and we all loved it.
Prior Gen 7 was the best time to be a gamer i think.

A terrible thing to happen. People work to enjoy life and get the things to make them happy. To have some thief take it before you have even sen it is aweful.
If your expecting a new console or anything like this which is high profile in th e news then you should have your phone ready .
If you see the delivery guy pull up and not get out , take pictures of the van or vehicle. If he delivers a parcel , you take a picture of him. and his van . Make him wait till you have opened the parcel on the doorstep. to check items.
These people should be prosecuted to the full and serve time. And never get a job again where there in contact with valuables.
If you can and you find you have been scammed. Restrain the guy and call the Police.
But taking pictures of the delivery guy and van is good at least you can prove who he was. Awe so annoyed about this. So sad .

@ekwcll No i agree. the 2K sports games where great on DREAMCAST. But you can't deny not having Madden , Fifa , Need for Speed by EA on the console didn't hurt sales to casual gamers who play a lot of those games.
Me i love my Dreamcast , i have six consoles from various regions and play them to this day. . And it's amazing that the Dreamcast is getting new games still , and about ten have been released or to be released this year. Dreamcast lives and it's still a great console whose games still look great.

@Darknyht , Dreamcast had a good launch in both the states and Europe. I know Japan was slow because of shortages . I think your mixing up the Saturn with Dreamcast, It was the Saturn that Sega launched early and pissed of many stores and devs at the time, one of them being EA who had many games in development for the system. . Dreamcast did i a lot more right then wrong. But yes the DVD gamble was a big one. I would have gladly paid another £100 for the Dreamcast at launch if it had a DVD drive. . Not that i needed a DVD player at the time as i already had one.
It was Sony's hype from the previous generation that held peoples attention. And of course Sega's mismanagement and Berne Stolar who who i think was a terrible Sega USA president.
Basically Sega USA had to much power compared to Nintendo USA who are merely a extension of Nintendo Japan.
The Wii U was slightly different. It was the game drought and advertising. Though Sega Europe's poor advertising for Dreamcast didn't help it either. Blowing there budget on sponsering football clubs like Arsenal with Dreamcast logo's and no one new what a Dreamcast was.

@KryptoniteKrunch , Yes marketing was a low for them. I remmeber the Christmas advert for Wii U , which wasn't that bad. But it got pulled by the Advertising Standards board in the UK for misinterpretation as it implied that all games could be played on the Gamepad , (which not all could) as some needed both the TV and the Pad. Instead of adapting the advert or making a new one. they just gave up advertising it all together and this was a month after launch. Having just bought the console i did feel from a advertising point that they where giving up on the whole hope of selling any. I love the console but i was like should I sell it , but my Xbox 360 had just gone RROD in the December and i thought no , i need a games console of a modern generation to play on.

@Sissyrobyn996 Yes your probably right. EA have to much hold over the games AS FAR AS INFLUENCE GOES.
Once EA abandoned the console in the first few months other publishers followed suit. I think only Ubisoft stuck a round for a while and releasing quite a few games on the system. To think we never got a Tomb Raider on Wii U as Square Enix quickly pulled the plug after Dues Ex.
The same can be said for the Dreamcast. EA would not support it because they wanted to be the leading Sports publisher on the console. Sega had just bought 2K studios to make sports games and said i don't think so. EA just walked away saying well when the Dreamcast sells a million consoles they would Support it from what i read. . Dreamcast sold a Million well quick , EA ignored them , Truth is you need the casual gamers to succeed and with out your Fifa 's , Madden's , Need For Speed's ,SSX of the time the Dreamcast now matter how great it's library failed to get traction once PS2 WAS looming which had all those EA franchises.
Same with Wii U , a year after launch , PS4 and Xbox One had all those EA games . Casual gamers voted with their wallets by buying the competition. .

Day One for me with Wii U . I had it delivered to my place of work , got it home and remembered i had to go out , didn't set it up till the next day. .
Most underrated console of our time. Yes poor marketing and naming probably didn't help.
But i found myself playing this console so much. .
I still use it till this day and game on it regularly , but not everyday like i use to.
Miiverse was excellent and was gutted when it was discontinued.
With over 70 physical games and over 60 digital games i have lots to get through on Wii U. Hence why i never purchased a Switch.
I had purchased my Xbox one at Christmas 2016 so a new console the following year was out of the question anyhow.
I might one day pick up the White version Wii U as a spare as i would hate to not be able to play my Wii U games.
Maybe when Nintendo do their next console i might dive in. .
For now for my Nintendo fix my Wii U and 2DS will suffice. Along with my Wii , Gamecube, N64 , and SNES. All of which are hooked up ready to play .
Wii U never forgotten by those that took the plunge in 2012 Christmas.

Considering the price of this title i thought it may be better in the look department. The forthcoming Okinawa Rush looks way more interesting and also the 9 Monkeys of Shaolin which i played a demo of is a really fun game to in the mould of Streets of Rage. Looks like we may be inundated with these type of games now that Streets of Rage four done so well.

@Zidentia I don't know , the real estate deal thing was surrounding his own home. ,it was more to do with doing a favour with the Seller where Jackie got a reduced rate for his property ,but did not have his name attached to it ,because the seller did not want to upset other purchasers. From what i understand Chinese government seized the building and JACKIE is currently having to prove his home is actually his, even though he has lived there for years .
Many Celebrities do adverts for various companies , it's a good way to promote. But that still does not mean Jackie was directly involved in any reverse engineering or piracy of Nintendo systems. The title should read that Jackie Chan had done a commercial for the system .

Headline suggests Jackie was behind them ripping of the hardware. Jackie did a advert for a company in China to appeal to Chinese buyers , that's it. With so many clones in the region i doubt there be missed , other then for nostalgia purposes as it's not as if they actually created a platform . Maybe you should change that headline as it paints Jackie in a bad light. I have met the man and know many who know him very well. Not a good headline i must say. Jackie might pop round if your not careful.

Awesome that more people with a disability can have a alternate controller for their needs, but yes these controllers can be expensive by the time you add the extra buttons needed for your specifics. Well done to Hori for helping more people getting in the game.

@masterLEON Yes i saw that on Twitter later in day. I think what people don't understand is Sega Sammy are so huge a company and that there business are far and a field. Because one part is not doing fine does not mean another sector cant do ok. Even today's structural reform news though sad for some employees is what's being going on in Business worldwide .
Sega like many other companies will weather the storm . And it's improvements in Home console and PC area that will be it's big earner in the future and not the Pachinko ,Arcade business.
I think once this whole covid 19 clears ,hopefully in 2021.that they can get back to doing what they do best and that's entertain

Yes this is not so good , after Yesterdays news around the arcade sector. But this is very much like what Happened with Nintendo and the Wii U . Where execs took a pay cut to recoup losses. and i just done the math. 10bn Yen equates to 73 million Pounds in GBP . By today's standards for a big corporation it's probably not as much a tragic tale , remember back in the Dreamcast days that Shenmue 1 & 2 cost Sega GBP 53 million to make and that lost money.
One triple AAA game title costs more to make then Sega's losses this forthcoming fiscal year.
I just wish they would appoint a new President for Sega and that Sammy's president does not just let Sega carry on for the sake of his son having a job HE'S CLEARLY not good at.
Sega will survive , they will turn it around providing Top level management is sorted and if they can't then Sammy should sell Sega to someone who actually cares for the brand lock stock and barrel .
It's never going to sell to Microsoft ,it will only ever sell to A Japanese company i reckon.
But in the long run i do feel Sammy will retain Sega and maybe get there act together.

@JuiceMan_V Yes the Game Gear micro does seem absurd. But the Japanese buy into all this stuff. and i bet Sega make a profit of it no problem. , Look how expensive the Astro city complete set up is ,as much as a PS5 OR Xbox series X . But it has sold out and i bet the profit margin on those are very good unlike the next gen consoles .

@Slowdive , YES THE Trocodero, ( I was trying to think of the name ) I use to visit there in the 90'S , Played Scud Race there for the first time . Was never a cheap day out mind. But with home consoles being so powerful even from the Dreamcast era ,it was inevitable that Arcades where gonna suffer , why go to a arcade when you can play at home .

This is SEGA Entertainment that's being sold, it's only the arcade locations , yes it's very sad that that famous SEGA branding will not be on those arcades ,unless GENDA keep it there for nostalgia .
Many seem to think across the internet and twitter that SEGA are over , SEGA are still making arcade games and all there mini consoles and console games and PC games. This is SEGA selling the buildings which house the arcades ,it's a separate business and hopefully will free up cash for more other ventures for SEGA in the Home console games and Arcade Machines they make.
SEGA is not over as the headline might suggest. Because Sega Sammy is a huge corporation and though sad , it's one of those things that was on the cards , Look how great Sega arcades where in the UK and ELSEWHERE in the Western World in the 90's , now there all gone.
Sega who make the games ,Arcade machines , mini consoles,Films , toys and and stuff are still here as the Iconic company they have always been.
And can any Switch / PS4 / Xbox One owner not agree that SEGA have been killing it with it's releases the past year or so.

Yes the high price tag is going to keep people away, I bought this on WiiU at launch . it actually arrived the morning i was going to Hyper Japan in London , Nintendo had a big stand there and it's theme was Pikmin 3 ' I actually played it first at Hyper Japan at their demo booth , returning home later to unwrap my new sealed copy.
Of note i only paid £29.99 for the game from now defunct online retailer Grainger games.

Back to Legends though ,i feel it may not sell as well released in August ,it's competition is vast ,plus i know this sounds crazy but by giving Wii U owners the Challenge app they may created a few thousand U owners that have had their fill of Rayman Legends for now. Not everyone can afford to buy every major new game and come August there's going to be a few on the market .I hope they sell well on the U so that Ubi keep making good software for it.

Rayman was so one of the main games Nintendo where showing at their pre- launch events, it was one of the reasons i bought a U , i feel it would have sold mega in February as it was the one game many where looking forward to and would have sold a few systems to. For info as mentioned above, the Jaguar was a console with very few games and many rushed games that's why it failed. The Dreamcast did not fail it had some of the most amazing games at launch and beyond ,it all ended because of new Sega management and they had bled money since the Saturn they had to toss up between cancelling Dreamcast or one of their arcade divisions which produce Pachinko .Dreamcast lost .

Thing is if Nintendo drop the price now, they may need to appease the early buyers with some goodies like they did with the 3DS price drop. But even at 300 pounds for the premium you do get a game. And you can use existing Wii Accessories with it. Now i don't know if you can use a sixaxis controller with PS4 ,i read somewhere you could .
If Nintendo do keep at the current price then they should switch the premium bundle to include one of the killer new games which are coming. A premium with Pikmin3 or Super Luigi would make it a competitive console. Keeping Nintendo land with it may be a bad idea as it's a old game now.
Of course there's the hard drive issue to ,so it would cost another 40-50 pounds to add one of those for people wanting larger storage .In my own case i had a old drive around 320gb .i added it it worked fine .But i do believe the basic pack should be 200 pounds as it has no game ,no memory worth mentioning and not even a Wii sensor bar . I rest my case .
