I actually never thought this would come to the eshop which is why I bought the SNES original on the VC lol. Anyways this was the very first video game I've ever played along with Sonic Advance for the GBA. Good times.

Nintendo life just sounds butt hurt in this review. It's not that bad of a game. I'd give it a 6 but not a 1. Once again, a game that doesn't have Mario or Donkey Kong gets a bad score from this site.

Nintendo has done more with the Blue Bomber this year than Capcom has done in the past 4 years.

All the stores around me have every single amiibo except for the three mentioned above. Since the game came out on Nov 21 I have not seen a single Marth, Villager, or Wii fit trainer in any retail stores.

@H_Hog Simply because those game didn't need patches to fix their game. These games should have been complete when they releases it. There should have been no need to fix all the technical stuff I.e. rush cancelling. That's like if they patched Melee to fix Wave dashing or need Meta Knight in Brawl.

This game is incomplete trash. Quite literally. Please do not mistake this for joking because I'm very serious. That's why I haven't bought this shovel ware until they patch it. Also another reason why Brawl and Melee are superior. No one should ever be afraid to play a game because it has bugs that might make the game and system both unplayable. Please debate me on this. No one could possible defend this.

Not surprised at all. Look at how many games the Xbox One has out right now and look at the Wii U. Smash Bros? Ok. Anything else?... Captain Toad? Great! Seriously nobody wants these games. They have no appeal to anybody. That is the reason why everyone is better off playing Xbox and Playstation.

The replays would not have to be deleted if this game was completed in the first place. Then there would be no need for updates and deleted replays. This is why Brawl and Melee are superior to this piece of trash game.

Who would pay 5 bucks to watch this? I've already seen it on YouTube already. So just go watch the videos on YouTube guys, no need to drop 5 bucks on it. Save it for the Duck Hunt release on the VC.

@Light Yes, Smash Wii U performs well in terms of multiplayer, but there is no single player experience to be found anywhere in this game, where Brawl, Melee, and even the 3DS version have solid single player modes.

No, it does not live up to ANY expectations at all. Smash run looks stale and offers absolutely nothing in comparison to the 3DS version of Smash. Lets look at Brawl and Melee. Melee had Adventure mode which consisted of you running through the locales of Mario, Zelda, F Zero, Ice Climbers, etc. That was fun. Brawl had the subspace emissary. Sure, the levels of the SE were repetitive, but the cutscenes, the levels that were exclusive to the SE, and the music were fantastic. The Subspace Emissary had you fighting in Skyworld, exploring the castle in Fire Emblem, fighting on the Halberd, AND fighting bosses exclusive to it such as Rayquaza, Porky, Ridley, etc. Smash Tour offers literally NOTHING. All you do is fight CPU on stages and recruit them. THATS IT. Smash Tour is garbage and the Wii U version of Smash is looking inferior compared to Melee, Brawl, and even its 3DS counterpart.

@TheItalianBaptist 8 Player mode is awesome. It's just that the single player mode that Smash Wii U has to offer is weak. Not even weak, it is garbage. Nobody really wants to play a board game. They would rather go through stages in Adventure Mode like Melee, or play in the locations of the Subspace Emissary.

If this board game mode was the true potential for Smash Bros Wii U, then I have to say that is absolute garbage. Honestly this mode is going to suck. I speak for every single person that has played Super Smash Bros that the Subspace Emissary from Brawl and Adventure Mode from Melee is better than this. In the end, Board game mode sucks.
