Re: Video: Remembering Bubsy The Bobcat, The 16-bit Mascot Nobody Asked For

John_Enigma

@MrMario02 Oh yeah. When I saw that on the gaming news, I was like "How are people going to react to this?" Then the first that came through my mind was "At least is nothing compared to the abominations that were Sonic '06, Sonic Boom (for WiiU), Sonic Free Riders, and Bubsy 3D."

Besides, Retroism (the company that has the rights to Bubsy nowadays) is releasing the first two Bubsy games, and not the God-awful 3D sequel for PS1, on Steam. And who knows? Maybe with their technology, they can try and put as many bugfix patches and extra level expansions for the two games for all I care. Then maybe, just maybe, they can make the Bubsy games bearable.

Re: A New Yooka-Laylee Support Character Has Been Revealed

John_Enigma

@ricklongo Well, look at it this way. SE showed us Final Fantasy 15 with more or less the same ol' shizz and Nintendo, without a doubt, delayed Zelda U.

To some people, Yooka-Laylee will be considered GOTY due to some factors: 1. Is made by ex-Rare guys; 2. Is a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie; 3. It has Grant FRICKING Kirkhope in the soundtrack; 4. It's a 3D "Collect-A-Thon" Platformer, which right now, is a genre that you don't normally see that often; 5. Is a game which is going to be available for every know current-gen console and computer; 6. It's awesome; 7. It's awesome; 8. IT'S AWESOME!

Re: More North American Women Own A Games Console Than Men

John_Enigma

Is quite apparent. I mean, look at the League of Legends teams in the US. If I'm not mistaken, recently, one of the US teams inducted a girl in their group. I don't remember who it was. So @CrazyOtto, girls are part of the PC Master Race as well.

EDIT: Personally, I don't pay much attention to this, because the idea of mine is that everybody, EVERY-Fricking-BODY is a gamer. Hell, my mom is a big Galaga and Tetris fan. My female friends from my U are also gamers. Some of them play Smash and Metroid (the series overall), while most of them play either Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Brave Frontier, Soccer Spirit or some other Japanese or Japanese-like RPG/Strategy RPG.

Re: Rumour: New Report Suggests That Konami Has All But Abandoned Console Development

John_Enigma

I really hope that with Nintendo's new president (despite the fact that he has one year of occupation) and the sudden company restructure, Nintendo aren't too much of scaredy cats when it comes to buying IP's. I want them to buy the Bomberman IP, and let HAL Laboratory develop any future games.

As for Castlevania, well, Koji Igarashi already created Bloodstained so let's give the IP to Platinum Games. I would love a Castlevania X Bayonetta crossover.

Re: Nintendo Is Merging Its Prized EAD And SPD Teams Into A Single Group

John_Enigma

So the former dev. team divison that was developing Zelda U, which was the Entertainment Analysis & Development (EAD) Division has merged with another division, and later formed the new Entertainment Planning & Development (EPD) Division will now develop Zelda U?

Is that what it is? Because if it's not, than I am so confused.

Re: Video: Here's What Rare's Final GameCube Title Should Have Looked Like

John_Enigma

@locky-mavo @whodatninja @pizzashapes No. Nintendo will never buy Playtonic Games. Last time I remember, Sutherland said that Playtonic prefers to be indie for life.

Besides, you people shouldn't be worrying about Nintendo buying PG.* You should pay attention about all of the stuff PG is doing, like for example, there are like more 12 people now working at PG. Kev Bayliss even made new artwork involving Yooka-Laylee.

*Besides, I don't want PG to be bought by any company at all, and then let this company have the same bad luck as Rare when it was bought by M$.

Re: Mario Memories: Basking in the Glow of Super Mario Sunshine

John_Enigma

I also admit that Super Mario Sunshine was the first 3D Super Mario game I ever played on my first Nintendo home console, the Gamecube. I had a hella lot of fun playing that game. Well, that one and Pac-Man World 2.*

@icedude545 To this day I still pray that one of Nintendo's next New 3DS exclusives, aside from Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, happens to be Super Mario Sunshine 3D. I want the people who made Super Mario 3D Land remake Super Mario Sunshine using their engine.

*For all of those that had a Gamecube or a PlayStation 2, would probably know this awesome game.

Re: Mario History: Super Smash Bros. - 1999

John_Enigma

@DarthNocturnal Super Smash Bros. is the only series that always reminds everyone of the past Nintendo franchises: Ness, and Captain Falcon in SSB64; Mr. Game and Watch, Fire Emblem, and Ice Climbers in SSBM; Snake, Sonic, R.O.B., Diddy Kong, Pit, and Lucas in SSBB; Duck Hunt Duo, Pac-Man, Mega Man, Ryu, and Shulk in SSB4 (for WiiU & 3DS).

Tbqh, this guys weren't that noticeable, until Smash made them relevant.

Re: Mario Memories: A Portable Warp Pipe To Lost Adventures

John_Enigma

Believe or not, people, Super Mario Advance was actually my first Mario game OF ANY KIND. I remember like it was yesterday, when, if I'm not mistaking, my mom bought me a Game Boy Advance bundle with the first Super Mario Advance and Namco Museum (GBA edition) from Blockbuster (do you guys remember that?). I started to become more obssesed with certain 2D platformers, preferably of the Mario kind.

But to be honest, out of all the games from the Super Mario Advance saga, my favorite one is, and will always be Yoshi Island: Super Mario Advance 3.

Re: Mario History: Super Mario All-Stars - 1993

John_Enigma

You know what's weird? I look at this and then I look at Super Mario Maker.

I always thought that they were going to include Super Mario Bros. 2, aka Super Mario Advance, in SMM. I never understood why Nintendo didn't add that game, considering that is also suppose to be a Super Mario game.
