Got Two Switch 2 bundle.... YES>>>>>>
One from BestBuy - MKWBundle
One from GameStop - MKWBundle
BestBuy was wait then queue and then phone verification and then preorder.
Gamestop preorder all latest Amiibos, card, Joy-Con2 charger, Pro Controller.
That's what I did...waited at GS for 4 hours before I was able to PreOrder.
Target was the dump......and Walmart waiting in line and nothing now.
Update: No Yunobo amiibo from GameStop ... crappola....
For one thing DK is for Switch 2 console where and how did one think it would work on Switch 1 console?
This is important people should at least understand this: Now that Nintendo has changed its wording, it sounds like the Switch 2 versions of BotW and TotK do, in fact, support cloud saves, but these backups won't transfer from a Switch 2 to an original Switch.
I do wonder what the breakdown is Japan Console only vs Standard Switch 2 console preorder numbers are that will tell us what the 2.2mil preorders reflect which one the consumer wants. Their hiding that breakdown is suspicious that to me would say it's the Japan units only that is selling out for Preorders.
@Gryzor Let's be really Honest here most of those games never came out for Switch 1. So one is being disingenuous in comparing Apples to Oranges again.
That is a good indicator how interest are and how sales growth will be. It's what the Japan and US market preorders numbers are will show the launch June 5. And what we will see is how the inventory numbers if 6 mil for US/Canada are to be a bell weather for if the sales can reach the Switch 1 sales numbers.
That rise of 10+ is a shocker. And we have "Tariffs" to blame for this. We should send someone those "COD payments" to pay for their actions. That will make them sing a different tune.
The price for this pack hasn't been revealed just yet, and there's no mention of a physical version of this pack. "Key-Card" anyone.....I hope this isn't true.
According to this new disclaimer, "Save data created in the second save data slot in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition cannot be transferred to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Nintendo Switch". This one sounds more like what I would expect because of the upgraded games can't work on Switch 1 consoles.
Wave 1 and 2 will be hard but maybe wave 3 might be more available as productions ramp up more as Switch 1 is no longer available and as Holidays roll up there should be more coming.
SteamDeck is akin to comparing Apples to Oranges so different and contents. Not only that but roughly 7mils SteamDeck vs 150mils Switch 1 consoles? What does that tell anyone and over 1bils Software sales. There is no comparisons to be had here nor power comparisons and hardware. But people keep using the DF debunked myths because Nintendo is now doing the impossible and they can't accept this reality. And fact it can Dock play for a Portable console.
@NolandC I don't understand... If HDMI can support 4k@120fps then it should have enough bandwidth?
Where are you getting 120fps? I've never heard anything beyond 4k60fps on gaming. And most modern GPU has issue keeping that stability unless you maybe have SLI/CF setup and that's not cheap.
Features and content of a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition game can only be played on Nintendo Switch 2.
If you already have the original Nintendo Switch game—as either a physical or digital version—you can upgrade to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing the game's upgrade pack from Nintendo eShop, My Nintendo Store, or retailers. After you upgrade, the original Nintendo Switch game can still be played on Nintendo Switch, though the features and content of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition can only be played on Nintendo Switch 2.
@Rykdrew If i play the games, side by side, the oled screen is the winner. So much wrong with this. They already compare OLED Switch 1 to Switch 2 and guess what they saw. OLED didn't best Switch 2 LCD. SteamDeck is past it prime here.
The sooner UBI goes under the better. And a better game developer will start new. Games can take liberty with iconic symbols or religion but they need to research why that is. One Game Nintendo should refrain from putting on Nintendo Switch.
Here we go again dumping on the Switch2 as though it's performance is a PS4 levels and never admitting it is on par with XboxS/PS5 levels. I guess it let's them sleep at nights. PS4 has been debunked and can't produce good results when there is more graphics demands. And vs videos have shown it's on PS5 levels but not for Raw performance but people dismiss this and that's why they will never leave PS4 levels while everyone else moves on.
When people says this: It fits a good PS4/Xbox handheld
What handheld? This is just comical...typical dumping on Switch 2.
@kalosn also hints that the game was likely first designed for the original Switch in mind, but then they decided to boost it to the new generation machine as an exclusive. That's so wild where does it begin. What hints those are speculative without any background to support.
@Dman10 They are talking about Switch 2 games exclusive Switch 1 isn't part of the equation here. Switch 1 games have been mentioned by Nintendo that some will look better but unless they get Switch 2 updates it's still Switch 1 game unless their publisher makes Switch 2 upgrades patches.
So how many here will get all seven or pick and choose now? I want all seven but holy moses those are sticker shocker prices??? Buy all and they add up to MKW/BOTW/TOTK Switch 2 games???
To me DF has already lost credibility how they treated Cyberpunk 2077 and FF extrate Switch 2 reviews told more then enough they don't qualify to be listened to for any sounds judgements. Switch 2 plays on the level of PS5 but not for "RAW" performance it can never match that but RT/DLSS puts in the lege of PS5 graphics levels and XboxS series levels. But that is all lost when anything DF says. Their not listening to how Nvidia has 10x graphics performance is telling how they view Nintendo/Nvidia for the leap in tech and performances.
Looks like it's PreOrder from BestBuy as those prices are still show not with the 10 price hike yet assuming they open the preorder so I can avoid that extra cost.
We already heard from Cyberpunk 2077 team as to why it's only on PS5, NS2 for good reasons the PS5 is raw performance can do all the magic to make it good and NS2 with PS5 ultimate edition showcases what newer tech can do to a game the launched back then to better gameplay and graphics as the same time. But for some reason DF keeps using PS4, SteamDeck as those aren't in the equation as neither of those can handle the most recent "Ultimate Edition" that is why CDRed make this updated version for. So end of the day DF clearly has alot of explaining why they keep used outdates tech mindset when NS2 isn't on the same level of tech from 2017. That's what it seems to me they keep using NS1 2017 tech to dismiss NS2 - that isn't the same console or tech behind the console for good reason. Another reason Nintendo don't give DF any Devs kits or prototype to test probably because they have good reasons not to. For me this is why DF has lost alot of credibility as anything they said is in the lens of NS1 2017 not NS2 2025.
This is also like case of the "Mario-Karts" in real life and Nintendo sued them and I think it was ruled for Nintendo in that case. But I also think in this case it's the fact that the amount of gamers playing it scared Nintendo/GF that was "Why didn't we think of that" epiphany that caught them off guard. And also the graphics are better as well so that is probably what scared GF the most that Pokémon players will now ask why is GF so Lazy at making the graphics better. I highly suspect as well that Nintendo/GF didn't think someone can best them at their own game creations. Big Company to fails don't like this when it happens to them.
@Greenspan Unless it's like tapes or VCR. And if Switch carts and memory microSD uses tech different from tape/VCR formats. There's more replies on the site as well over this.
If a very powerful magnet is placed near a Micro SD card, will the magnet erase the data inside? Flash drives store data with electric charges, not magnetic bubbles. A strong magnet has no effect on a flash drive.
Flash Drive Myth #1: The USB connectors on flash drive are fragile. Not even close. Connectors on USBs are made of metal and resists damage or bending. The rest of the USB drive, however, is not. So while it is possible to break or damage the connectors, it’s more likely you’ll damage the other components, many of which are made of plastic.
Flash Drive Myth #2: Magnets can damage or erase USB Drives. USB drives cannot be harmed or altered by magnetic fields. The drives are not built from magnetic materials. So magnets pose no danger to any flash memory including SSDs, SD cards, and external hard drives—even traditional hard drives are immune. In fact, hard drives use powerful magnets to move the head.
Flash Drive Myth #3: USBs are ruined when dunked in water. Only if they are powered up; simply putting a flash drive into water does not hurt it. But if one of your drives does get wet, put it in a jar of uncooked rice or silica gel for a day. Later, make sure it is dry, then plug it in. There’s a good chance it will still be working and will not have lost any data.
USB are poor examples you can't slot Switch 2 into a Switch 1 slot. There is data difference and architecture programming otherwise why but Switch 2 if our Switch 1 can till run Switch game platform.
@LikelySatan Just admit it you never liked Nintendo or pay to play good games. How else do you think Publisher of good games survive and keep making games? Not the CEO greed but the grunt in the ditch doing the hard work. You should ask those whom do the work making the games with those comments and see how they will differ on that.
@Abrammchi The price alone for both Switch 2 standard and Switch 2/MKW is a shocker to some and those with Families this is the consumer they need in the "long-term". It's software that will keep it selling but initial buy-in is what they want - if they want to keep the hardware sales going. I think they will eventually get to 100 mils but not as fast as Switch 1 as that had so many things aka Covid and ACNH that well for better or worse helped it. This time around it's just the console and games prices that will determine the pace of sales after the 1st or up to the 3rd wave of inventory. It's the next year 2026 is when we will really see how fast it grows.
I suspect this comes into issue with Switch 1 games that don't need updates to play on Switch 2. This would sound plausible is the big issue and until those publishers or Nintendo can find work around it was just safe for now to remove wording or they actually hardware disabled that and will create firmware that will auto-on or auto-off VRR for games that can't use that feature on-the-fly SWITCHing(pun).
I think the Lexar 512, 1tb will come back after June 5 launch for Switch 2 sake otherwise there be alot of unhappy Switch 2 owners that would like to have that option. I for one would like this to happen if I purchase "Key-Card" games so I can download and save to the larger exSD card rather then take space on the exSD used for Game update/DLC options.
