@pikachupikachup In the UK (not where I live FYI), MKW costs 90 euros physical. Digital is still 80 euros.

All three companies been doing this from Day One launch of their consoles with their EULA/TOS has anything changed from that heck NO. It's all in their EULA/TOS they have the right to enforce their EULA it's nothing new. People are making sounds like it a DayOne new thing.

@killercereal This to me is a decent compromise. You still get the box and a cart of sorts.. Better than everything just being a download. Hell a code in a box is better than that.
Contradictions upon contradictions. Code-in-box isn't better having "Key-Card far better. CIB is tied to Nintendo account and if you don't want it anymore nothing you can do about it. I got the Switch editions Physical and just buy the upgrade. I get the best of both worlds Physical/Switch 2 upgrade and play on Switch 2 that is better then Code-in-Box.

@SirLink One doesn't understand this never came to Switch 2 what are you so hung up on really. It's already complete Physical on 64gb cart. Any updates or DLC will be eShop download. No, your just making excuses and hating on Nintendo Switch 2 basically.

@sanderev One doesn't understand a Publisher, Stop making assumptions here. They can make it "FULL" cart and charge accordingly they have no excuses here. They can make multiple SKUs one "Key-Card", (dreaded) Code-in-Box, Full Cart game. And let the consumer choose. There was that so hard to do? That will force Nintendo to make Switch 2 carts as 1gb to 64gb options if they want to see the Publisher's game.

@timp29 I did read somewhere people bought the PS to watch movie because it was relative inexpensive to game and watch movies on. That's what sold the PS system.

And fiscal year doesn't end at December 2025 but in 2026 so they could by that time have 20+ mils unit sold assuming tariffs doesn't jack prices.

NS2 isn't going to get a price drop more like a price rise. The Switch 1 OELD will most likely get a price drop to forcast NS2 is going to become the goto Hybrid Console to have. Now if we only can get micro exSD price drop and more inventory this will be something nice.

And restart BOTW/TOTK with updates and ugh getting Harry potter for Switch 2....and get some of my Switch 2 and see what I can do then. Can't MKW yet because during that week until Sunday is when I will have time to Switch 2 but I will get my gripcase and Screen protector setup first before playing.

@TwinFami That's what a Hybrid will do you can dock when you can and take it on the move whenever you feel like it. Desktop gaming isn't what it used to be anymore.

That's what it is two different audiences that game on completely different platforms. It's that the Switch 2 can now cross-over to XBox games ported to Switch 2. This increases XBox revenues and gets more people into the portable gaming. That's probably not the final iteration of the unit itself.

They are approved by a family member of 18 years old and in your family group and parents approval. So what are they really looking for? This is so convoluted it sounds more like 1984 then anything really related to security. It's like the iPhone face checking and your Smartphone listening and watching you.
