Re: You Don't Need To Play Persona 5 To Enjoy The Story In Persona 5 Scramble

@JR150 Um, that is what EBay Descriptions, Returns and Paypal Disputes are for. You can still find a functioning PS3 with barely any problems as long you're are not stupid. It is not like that the PS3 had very common occurrence of hardware failure like the 360 (i.e. Red Ring of Death)

Also, why would someone buy an RPG they clearly don't have time. Persona 5 takes time to play, so I would argue that if you can play a lengthy RPG, you have free time somewhere in your schedule.

Sure, it would be cool to have Persona 5 on the Swtich but every mainline game in the series has always been exclusive to a Playstation console despite spinoff releases of Persona 4 Arena on the 360 and Persona Q on the 3DS, not to mention guest appearances in Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle. A Switch port of Persona 5 or any mainline game is improbable.

May I remind everyone that Persona 5 is also on Playstation 3, which I hear is an above serviceable port, and the PS3 is dirt cheap these days, for a console anyways. So there is no excuse to not to play Persona 5. As for me, I have a stable job so I will be buying Persona 5 Royal when it is released on PS4, as well as Persona 5 Scramble. I am also hoping for a Persona 5 Arena as well.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Like Miiverse To Return On Switch?

HistoricKombat

Miiverse is not coming back. Nintendo could decide to develop a successor...in fact, they have with their silly phone app but they might come up with something considering how poor their app is receiving with the critics and fans but this is Nintendo we're talking about, a company that generally does not listen to feedback...well, at least they don't until a few years down the line when they finally acknowledge their failures when it is far too late. I am convinced nothing is coming regarding social media.

Re: Nintendo Switch Version Of Metro Redux Rated By PEGI

@SpacedDuck

1. Just because a game runs poorly on PC doesn't mean it won't run better on another platform.

2. Metro Redux runs flawlessly on my PC, probably because I updated my PC over the years with new hardware. You have to install updated hardware to keep up with PC gaming. If your PC cannot play a game as old as Metro Redux, you have outdated tech in your PC.

Re: There's No Need To Be Afraid Of This Day One Update For Luigi's Mansion 3

@Kalmaro

Depends on the game, and what features you want use. Of course you want to use the latest patch for online gaming. With most single player games can still be played without patches, although some games are released either incomplete or have more free content after release such as Kirby: Star Allies. Some people may also prefer to go physical to save space on their SD Micros, and collector like to keep games on display on their shelf. Digital or physical, it is your own call what you want to go with. One thing for sure, with every game released today, there will be a patch for it.

Re: Xbox Title Ori And The Blind Forest Is Making The Leap To Switch Next Month

HistoricKombat

@ThatNyteDaez

Ori is technically a Microsoft franchise so Windows and XBox One will get the sequel first. I do hope a Switch port will be coming in the future otherwise there would be no point bringing the original game to the Switch. Anyways, day one buy for me despite I already own the game twice but it is so good, I am willing to triple dip. Although, I think Ori and the Blind Forest looks so gorgeous, it should be played on a large television with highest resolution possible, preferably 4K. Really, Ori and the Blind does not need to be on the Switch but great games are always welcome on it.

Re: An Indie Dev Has Already Asked To Work With Nintendo's IP After Seeing Cadence Of Hyrule

HistoricKombat

Nintendo would never just hand off a project like a Zelda II remake or follow up to some random indie dev. Nor, will Nintendo green-light a project via social media. Brace Yourself Games isn't working on the next big project for Nintendo, Cadence of Hyrule is just a small collaboration. Sure, this could open the door for indie developers to make use of Nintendo's IP but a Zelda II remake is far-fetched. Also, there is already a Zelda remake coming so I doubt Nintendo will green light another now.

Re: What Happened To Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Coming To The Switch?

HistoricKombat

I doubt there will be a Switch version of Spyro: Reignited Trilogy. Activision didn't bother to invest in triple layer Blu-Ray discs, or span out to two or three standard Blu-ray discs. Granted, it is not a standard to use bigger or more discs and it cost more money but the thing is, Activision has money...they are a multi-billion dollar company. Activision can afford to give Toys For Bob the budget to make their game fit on discs. If Activision is not willing fork out the money for full retail copies instead cobbling them together with patches, Activision will most likely not compress the game for the Switch. Sure, they did it with Crash Bandicoot but it was only 23 GB on PS4 before it was compressed to 5 GB for the Switch. Spyro is a whopping 64 GB on PS4 and 42 GB on XBox One. Sure, you could argue Bethesda did compress DOOM onto the Switch which has an average size around 40 GB on other platforms but it all comes down to money and Bethesda was willing to take the risk. If Activision is not willing to invest into producing full retail copies of Spyro: Ignited Trilogy. I doubt they are willing to spend the money to compress such a large game. Perhaps if it was a smaller business publishing Spyro, I would give them a pass but that is not the case. Also, do you really want a crappier version of this game anyways, I sure don't.
