Re: EDGE Magazine Reveals How A Single Joy-Con Works in Arms

HeroOfTime32

@Yorumi "It would just be nice if nintendo spent a bit of time thinking about how people are actually going to use their products. That's all I'm saying. Well and they should up their quality control some. If I seriously have poor joycons(with all the desyncing) and a defective pro-controller that's saying a lot."

Umm...just send your joycon to Nintendo and they swap it out, no questions asked, almost immediately. They provide UPS OVERNIGHT shipping. So if you sent it on a Monday, you will literally receive it back on Wednesday or Thursday. I sent both my Switch (screen) and left Joycon (desyncing) in like 3 weeks ago. Nintendo told me I have a 1-yr manufacture warranty and I can send in whatever I need to at anytime during that period and they will fix it. I was floored with their customer service. Bar none, it was the best I ever experienced. Amazon is close, but this was such a pleasant experience. I was also reluctant to send it in due to hearing stories of lost save data, but had no issues there either. I was told that's a very small fraction of repairs, and usually they are repairs for completely broken machines that need to be swapped out.

I think I said this exact same thing to you a year or so ago....but "you're a glass half-empty kinda guy aren't you?"

It's almost a joke. Learn to be a little more easy going...and I don't know, actually enjoy things at face value more often? I promise life is much more enjoyable that way my friend.

@ironside1911 Have you PLAYED Zelda yet? It's freaking huge..

There might be 3-4 games that size in total this upcoming generation...maybe. So, the fact that it's 900p should not be discouraging.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Pits Nintendo Switch vs. PS4 in Dragon Quest Heroes II Comparison

To be fair, when you see it in motion it's really not THAT bad. Yes, there are some FPS issues, but I'm overall pretty impressed that effectively, a tablet is running a PS4PRO game this well.

Edit: I had commented based on previously seen videos, but didn't realize this one compares with PSVita as well. Well, now I'm less impressed seeing it stacked up against a ~4 yr old mobile system. Damn.

Re: Feature: We Grade the Various Nintendo Switch Launch Complaints from the Web

@MindWanderer That's a valid point I had only slightly thought amount (HDMI switch). I'm not home right now to check, but I recall seeing something in the system settings that was along the lines of "mimicking TV power settings" or something like that. Maybe you can toggle that setting and hope the Switch doesn't send 'power on' signals to your HDMI switch???

At least, that's what I thought this system setting was for. Can't remember exactly what its called or where in the settings its in, but I do remember seeing it yesterday.

Give it a shot. Hope it works.

Otherwise you can always reconfigure (I know it's a pain) your hook-up configuration to compensate.

Re: Video: Ultra Street Fighter II's First Person Mode Looks Like A Throwback To Wonky Motion Controls

@JaxonH Agreed. Also, the Wiimote took some getting used to to make sure it registered your inputs. People who didn't understand the tech and flailed their arms randomly were usually the ones who ended up frustrated.

@Damo it's really not that bad. To be fair, in the second segment he was not a very good "motion gamer" (not that you should have to be, mind you).

It's still in development, and meant to be a side time waster so I'm not overly concerned.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes Now Gives 'Hero Points' When You Play Unwanted Stages

HeroOfTime32

@AlexSora89 Sorry, wish I could help you but I played only w/ random parties. If I recall correctly...I had heard the online community is pretty sparse now. Hopefully you can find people to play with. I'm like 90% sure you can party up w/ your girlfriend and hook up with a random team mate. I would think so.

Edit: worse case scenario: you and your girlfriend use a "totem" team mate and complete the puzzles that way. Single player sucks, but it would be less dreadful with another person. (Although, I'm not sure if you CAN do this, someone else may have to comment on this).

Good luck!
