Between this and the 10-yr deal that's on the table...this is re-assuring me that the Switch successor is for sure going to have DLSS technology. Remember the WSJ rumor long ago about how Nintendo told devs to get their games 4K ready?

I think that behind the scenes, Nintendo is preparing for their next console generation, which all things considered will be as similarly demanding to develop for as their current gen, but with a next-gen capable upres capability should games take advantage.

@Trickbaby14 You do realize the stock was completely restructured, right? You also now own way more shares.... a share of stock of Nintendo today does not represent what it did before the stock split.

SoA was one of my all time favorite RPGs!! I remember I was really sick with the flu in middle school and stayed home and plowed through this game. I want to say I put ~70-80 hours into it, but never actually finished it. I'd like to come back to it one day and finish. Great game, and really interesting world to explore.

@Tyranexx “Octopath” is also an acronym representing the first letter of each protagonist’s name. Sort of a double entendre.

You never know when there's more to the story....

She very well could have been low balled as they could have found her difficult to work with, or that "flat rate" may not capture the full monetary sum she could have been entitled to.

I will say I find this unusual, and quite odd. Also, at the end of the day, it's a offer...and it sounds like she declined. Denigrating? Yeah, sure...but I'm not sure where she decides she has the position or platform to call for a boycott based on any of this.

@skadoom Yoku’s Island Express is honestly one of my favorite games on Switch. It’s criminally underrated!!!

It literally says on the article this affect(ed) only a small portion of players. It’s not even known how many or what percentage experience this, and it’s probable reviewers never experienced it at all, play time comments aside. People need to take a chill.

@ModdedInkling yeah and we saw the effect on people’s mental health COVID and lockdowns had. Imagine now where we blur lines on gaming reality even more…rather than keep them as separate entities. Couple that with corporations trying to make a buck along the whole way and it’s only going to make society and its collective mental hurdles even greater as a whole.

I really hope that the longer that Reggie is removed from Nintendo, the less he forgets what made Nintendo unique and wholesome. Remains to be seen though. I believe we will still see more of Reggie in this industry in the years to come.

Either way…I will take any new FFIX news I can get!! My favorite game of all time. I really think the story is something Square could get back to again at some point, or something similar. The lightheartedness of the character interactions mixed with the deep themes was fantastic. I don’t think everything needs to be all sci-fi or super serious. Bring back the high fantasy settings. I wonder if they will keep or arrange any of the original Uematsu compositions?

@Maxz agreed, but gamma value 1.8 in Star Fox is what we’ve all really been waiting for since this thing was initially announced.

Ok, kudos to the Sonic team for allowing this and having the self deprecation to go all in on the gag. Pretty good.

WaterField stuff is super expensive….but man do they make great products. And it’s a USA-based company that does all work in-house. I’ve gotten their City Slicker cases for 3DS and Switch, their Switch game card holder, and various computer and business bags over the years. Great company that I highly recommend!! The only caveat it price, but you certainly get a premium product.

There was that Geoforce rumor from a long time ago...and they previously announced an upcoming animated series based on FF IX (which I haven't seen any news on in a while).

Really hoping for something substantial from this...other than just a random upload by chance--as this is still my favorite game of all time. Wonderful cast of characters, imagined settings, and an ending that gets you right in the feels.

These are the good types of bug fixes—the game breaking bugs. I think Mercury understands to roll with the sequence breaking and hopefully hesitates fixing any of those.

@Edwirichuu so what are you supposed to do if you want to transfer your data from one of the games from that list? I know AC has it's own standalone tool, but I'm still not sure what happens with these other unsupported games. Thanks for the list btw.

This isn't the only game that doesn't support cloud saves. If I recall so does Pokemon & Splatoon 2.

Does anyone know a full list of the games that need to be transferred via other means? I don't want to lose data on a game by accident when making the transfer to OLED. Thanks.

Really? You think the rest of the casting is bad? I think Keegan as Toad and Jack Black as Bowser are going to be awesome!!! And it’s just comically funny that Fred Armisen is Kranky Kong!! The only oddball choice for me is Rogen as DK…I’m not seeing that match very well. But…I’ll wait and see until the movie comes out.

So by the logic of many above…you also should never see a Tom Cruise movie because you are “indirectly supporting the church of Scientology”.
Give it a break people. Grab some popcorn and watch the movie. Quit fabricating outrage about everything in the world.
I think the casting is awesome. I get the “weirdness” of Pratt as Mario, but I also get it as a business decision. It looks like they are really trying to draw in the mainstream with these casting choices. I think it will be pretty successful if you ask me.

@frogopus @sdelfin Thanks guys. I think I'm gonna go with the NA version. My brain seems to think having two different button sensations would just help my brain recognize which is which.

Admittedly, I still have to remind myself which button is X and which button is Y on Nintendo systems. It always takes me a 1/2 second to refresh myself on that.

Oddly, I never had issues with the Triangle/Square/Circle/X configuration on Sony systems.

@Joker13z unless I'm mistaken, I think the concave/convex were original territorial differences. Maybe they kept it true to form for this reboot.

I owned an SNES when I was younger, but was too young to truly remember the feel.

Edit: But agreed about the Amazon photos...it's a little tough to decipher from.

Does the SN30 have concave buttons, while the SF30 has convex buttons???? (Looks like it in the photos).

If so, any suggestions about which button surface is most comfortable to use?
