So many people clearly didn't read the article before bashing Miyamoto.
It doesn't say he didn't like the Elephant concept, it says he didn't like the prototype design.
Heaven have feedback on what could make it better.

Ask SEGA that, ease of piracy was a huge factor in the Dreamcast’s death.

I do hope Nintendo going forward have some way to make emulation harder because piracy has been a huge issue with Switch releases .
Every release seems to leak a week or more in advance now.
I just hope they find a better method than this though.

I've never played JSR and judging from those review snippets strong nostalgia goggles are needed to fully enjoy the experience.

Never happened to me but 90% of my collection I've bought the day it came out so probably no chance of it being a return.

I could just be unlucky but I've had three controllers from this company and all 3 got drift in under 10 hours of playtime

They've let them make 20 in the last 12 years so that's a confusing statement I feel may have been lost in translation a little.

I also never got the hatred for that particular section of the series, U in particular was amazing from a gameplay standpoint.
For me the only low point was NSMB2 because the gimmick felt undercooked.

My day one controller still works fine as does the Splatoon 3 one I got last year so I’m guessing this is a few unlucky people rather than a huge issue.

I'd much rather two of those games still be in my collection than have $50 tbh.

Good, Nintendo are well within their rights to protect their IP.
Lets worry about Switch preservation when its actually needed, not when you can legally download any game from the eShop.
All Switch emulation serves right now are pirates who are too cheap to pay for products they want.

I’m not sure it would make for an interesting modern game tbh.
I’d much rather they remake the Oracle games.

Nothing against Arin but I think casting a YouTuber cheapens the package and gives it a indie feel.
It sucks there’s no Japanese release so I can play with a Japanese dub.
