@Mando44646 @GamerGrandpa there’s some strange review embargo with NMH3 where the reviews aren’t allowed until 9 hours after it’s release. It doesn’t bode well and videos on YouTube ( which were subsequently removed ) apparently showed that performance is terrible

When will people learn to stop giving money to these companies before a product even exists, any reputable company shouldn’t take payment until somethings ready to dispatch.
I’m calling it that Polymega will be the next culprit to have ripped people off without shipping any product.

These leakers are basically attention seeking, time wasting parasites, they just make stuff up and people hang on their every word……it’s all about the YouTube clicks for most of them.

Alternatively pay £7.99 for the digital version which is available right now! Limited Run aren’t likely to ship this for another 12-18 months but I guess they know how to target consumers who are obsessed with material possessions whatever the ( ridiculously high ) price.
Look at games like Streets Of Rage 4, Power Rangers etc. the LRG versions of these are basically redundant now, yet people initially paid through the nose for them.
Wish they’d invest their own money in the physical releases so that they’d be ready simultaneously with the digital version……but no, their business model is based entirely on pre-order so there’s zero risk for them yet they sit on the customers money for huge lengths of time.

Great game, like SOR4 there’s so much technique…..think a lot of people don’t ‘get it’ and give up on it.

@IronMan30 it really is. I was sat on the fence for ages and I got it in a eshop sale for something like £6. It’s just so absorbing, it’s amazing.

It was ok, nothing apart from Axiom Verge for me which I downloaded and am so underwhelmed with, to the point I regret buying it after playing it all evening.
Shovel Knight game looks good but that’s not until next year!
No Shredders Revenge, Cuphead DLC, House Of The Dead or Sports Story and I’m thinking Silksong may be vapourware along with Bayonetta 3.

I couldn’t really get into the first one and often wondered where all the hype for it comes from. Took a chance on this yesterday and downloaded it and I have to say I’m completely underwhelmed, I think if it didn’t have the ‘Axiom Verge’ title behind it it would’ve reviewed a lot lower.

@andykara2003 once you’ve done it you won’t look back. I definitely don’t regret selling everything…..I also enjoy the memories of the older games as many don’t stand up to the test of time these days.
Just nice to have been around in the 8 bit / 16 bit golden age…..arcades, gaming magazines, terrible home conversions, £1.99 budget games, import shops etc. I think gaming now is a shadow of its former self but that could also be me looking at things with a nostalgic view. This year I’ve even toyed with the idea of giving up gaming for good but the Switch is just so good, even this morning I was on Amazon and they had PS5 in stock, years ago I would’ve bought it without hesitation but now I can happily resist that temptation and not think about it for more than 2 seconds.

@andykara2003 im the same, I just enjoy games to play these days. I sold my entire collection, lots of rare stuff including a Japanese Saturn with a full library of games, all stuff like that. I also used to collect the Medicom / Hot Toys figures, Star Wars figures, Garbage Pail Kids……. they all went too.
It all coincided with a house move to Cornwall, I now live 5 minutes from the beach and spend most of my time outdoors with my little dogs. Gaming tends to take place in bed in the evening now. I only own a Switch and a modded PSvita and buy digital 99% of the time these days.
I thought I’d regret selling everything but it was the opposite, it was a nice feeling to not be trapped in the cycle of endlessly spending money on stuff that simply sat on shelves, although it is a hard mindset to break, when you’re surrounded by this stuff you don’t want to let it go.

@andykara2003 I’m 46, I used to collect but not anymore, I broke that cycle of wanting material things to make me happy.

Once you get to a certain age or a certain point in your life when you are happy without material things you come to realise that collecting is a waste of time and money.
If you want to play all the games, get a modded psvita or something.

Played it back in the day when it was first released and it blew my mind. Never touched it since and don’t intend too……would rather just cherish the memories of it.

Anyone expecting Silksong, Cuphead DLC, Shredders Revenge & Sports Story don’t get your hopes up.

They take the money up front every time yet still fail to deliver. Why people still keep supporting them is beyond me.

I love digital and there’s constant sales too so games can be got so much cheaper than physical.

Back in the day this was a not only revelation but a revolution. Nintendo were way ahead of the game with this.

Once the OLED model releases a large number of people will upgrade and the second hand market will be flooded with the previous model so picking up a used one should, in theory, be cheaper for people. I’ve seen Switch Lites on Facebook Marketplace going for £100 which is an absolute bargain.
