@Matl I got mine launch day and it’s still like brand new and performs perfectly. When people say their Switch is ‘falling apart’ or ‘on its last legs’ I genuinely don’t know how, maybe they need to look after their tech a bit better.

I remember watching the reveal and it promising so much, yet come launch day it delivered on everything.
Nintendo had been out of the game for a while at this point ( they still had the 3DS ) so it’s great to see them back on top.

Way too expensive especially if you aren’t into Animal Crossing.
Most NES games are pretty dire these days apart from a few titles such as Super Mario Bros 3.
There’s some great SNES games but many just haven’t stood the test of time, likewise with the Sega games.
N64 games were great back in the day but they’re not so enjoyable to play these days and technically a lot of them are very poor. Sin And Punishment is amazing and so is Starfox but for me £35 just doesn’t represent anything near value for money.

@fafonio yes, the particular user in question often posts a deliberately negative view on many topics just to get a response. It’s all a bit silly and to be blunt, embarrassing. I can only assume they are very immature.

People who say Metroid Dread is bad are like the ‘flat earth’ brigade. They don’t really believe what they’re saying, they just want to be part of something different. It’s basically adult attention seeking.

Anyone remember when Lego sets weren’t licensed and had countless alternate builds on the box. This set, like many others goes against the whole ethos of Lego, it’s just an ornament, a buildable model if you like.

Some of the most boring people in the world are PC gamers who go on about how they built their own PC which can emulate anything. Beyond boring.

Unfortunately everything can’t be accessible to everyone, as nice as a notion it is, it’s simply not practical or realistic.

Anybody who uses full brightness on any device, wether it be a Switch, mobile phone or a TV is a psychopath

I only play handheld and my Switch is an original launch model. However, it’s still in perfect condition so I simply can’t justify the upgrade.

If you played arcades back in the 80s / 90s you could easily spend £12 in an hour and from the review i guess this game is just that, a throwback to the golden age of super tough games. I can’t wait to download it.

They could put in a bonus level where you date under age girls to make it really accurate

@Darkyoshi98 for me it was those 2 games. But on top of that we got the N64 announcement, the Castlevania Collection, Actraiser, Splatoon 3…….it was immense

Best Direct for a long time mainly due to the Bayonetta 3 and Kirby reveals.

@Znake I also don’t understand why we haven’t got Wind Waker either, it’d be amazing to play it in handheld mode

People moaning, saying it was disappointing, I mean, c’mon, what the hell do you want?! We finally saw Bayonetta 3, the new Kirby game looks amazing, Castlevania collection, N64 Starfox and Sin And Punishment ( amongst others ) plus loads of other stuff.

I happily ate a big plate of humble pie last night as for ages I’ve said it’s vapourware. But it’s finally coming and it looks amazing.

@anynamereally I agree, this year has been pretty poor. Apart from Mario 3D World I haven’t been interested in much else.

Bayonetta 3, BOTW2, Kirby, Splatoon 3 and possibly Metroid Prime 4…..next year is already shaping up to be a great year for Nintendo.

The music in this trailer is beyond awesome. However I can’t help thinking that Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3, BOTW2 & Metroid Prime 4 are destined for Nintendo’s next console…..but if they’re not then next year is going to be one hell of a time to be a Nintendo gamer.

People who are saying this sucks must’ve never played Starfox 64 or Sin And Punishment.

Those environments look amazing. Can’t wait for this.
