NES because it has the original vision of the game; Sunset sky color in World 3 levels, World 8 number levels that have a monochrome palette, as well as other minor details. There is more variations than the other versions just skipped to implement (you see how the fortress and airship all look the same? Not on the NES version as they have individual colors that help feel them unique)
The GBA is a respectable version; the voices might be annoying, but it's the enhanced all star version with things like fixed bonus room music and E-Reader levels which are excellent.
Then SMAS version; just as the entire package, this version could have more effort put in it. I rather avoid playing this one at all. If you want to play on a TV just play the GBA one (or even better, the NES version)
Game been great so far; except that it seems not polished? Or maybe the server load is too much?
Salmon run is broken for me; after finishing every time, I get a connection error. Same on the regular modes sometimes, which is annoying. Worse of all the game threatens you to ban you temporarily, and it happened yesterday :/
Shows how poorly planned the online infrastructure was made.
The reason there is no save cloud data for online play is that currently there is no way to prevent you from restoring your save data to a previous rank (this could imply you can keep a certain rank forever or prevent falling from it)
If the game had an account system that kept player progress on a dedicated server, then this wouldn't be an issue.
Nothing beats playing on original hardware, besides if you plan to invest on it and sell it later, the people that will benefit from this are not your target client 😛
@Longondo depends. The gamecube one has many "generic" settings but they look more detailed. I expect more on the switch right now, but I suppose it all depends on the controls and course design...
While they are both sides to this argument, I think Nintendo is partly to blame to prevent the Smash brand itself evolve to a more profitable entertainment business.
Many brands wanted to make the game more interesting, but due to continuous Nintendo sabotage, nothing was ever materialized. Nintendo just leeches off the community without letting it evolve further, keeping it with false hope that something will happen, but nothing does in the end.
I also expect people here to not care at all about this, but in the end people are just trying to have more fun with their favorite game, so I don't see why is that an issue.
And BTW, the mod doesn't come in a patch or pre-distributed ISO, it's a custom emulator that adds those features.
@Menardi users brought that up since due to privacy corncerns and the likes, and MiHoyo actually responded and the anti cheat system doesn't runs anymore when the game is closed.
@Thundertron55 same here. I dislike bows and tomes aren't fun to use for me, however, I was looking into the gacha system currency, and you can get around 30 tries each month by doing in game events and challenges. Sure, it's not that much either and the chances of getting something decent is abysmal.
However it seems the company is running events that give characters for free, so I suppose as one enjoys the game and plays it a bit every here and then, one will be fine 🤔
Gliding doesn't feel right. But still, instead of trying to complain again on how it looks like BotW, let's focus on how this is a mobile game!
Literally insane, like, sure, it may feel like discount BotW, but it's on mobile! And it's a free game! My only problem for this is that this might as well be a full console release.
The progression doesn't seem gated, nor are you required to spend money on trying to get better chars, so I'm not entirely sure how MiHoyo will profit from this other than the lolwaifu gacha.
VA seems decent; like, for a mobile game, this is top notch; but when comparing it to it's main inspiration in BotW, it falls short, sure. They have been times where I expect the wonkyness of BotW physics but it feels stiff, and sometimes I get the impression you can mess around with mobs with the janky physics but you cant. Also, the game is too "waifu" focused, but w/e, can't complain much on a game I didn't spend anything (yet?)
Still, exploring the vast world is pretty great on it's own, but I rather play it on PC than mobile, since on PC you can get 60fps and better graphics, which the game does looks pretty indeed. Looking forward playing coop!
Seems like people don't know what the game format is even about.
The game is a gacha game. Sure, they are micro transactions to buy currency to attempt to get better characters, but as long as the game is playable with what the game gives you with time, it's fine.
Also, gacha games are never meant to be completed/100%
Think of it as a marathon (or like Animal Crossing). You play a bit each day, get rewards for doing missions (which these rewards could give you items/currency to attempt to try to get better chars/weapons that might not be completely necessarily if you want to play casually)
The game is ramping up to have a lot of active players, so expect new content to be added for the game to last for years.
As long as the framerate is stable. IDC if it looks nicer or not, but if the framerate is butchered/lower overall than the original... then that would be sad :/
I love Picross and I this is the only Mario one I havent played yet! Sad they can't be bothered to translate it though, but I guess why bother. Still, I remember way back in the day, getting confirmation on what you supposed drew was nice.
@KnightsTemplar I suppose I can say the same thing to you. I'm simply expressing my disagreement of Nintendo decisions.
Sounds to me you should chill instead and stop assuming things. Never have I stated or intended that my opinion is "all that matters", nor that the Wii is the "best console", and calling ignorant by what points? I suggest you instead try to understand different viewpoints and not think having a different opinion attacks yours directly, neither only center on your "own" because as stated, not everyone will agree with you on everything 😜
I may like Nintendo and all but I'm not going the Nintendrone route and defend everything they do is perfect.
I already told you that I don't mind Galaxy 2 itself being released, because more people can play it; it's just the practice on how Nintendo is doing it with 3D Allstars that I don't agree.
@KnightsTemplar that's just your opinion on the Wii being worthless; pretty sure not everyone agrees with that statement.
And yes, for once, I agree with you: the Wii is a gimmick, but it has some cool games that don't require the wiimote gimmick.
And for the record, seems like you didn't read at all my original comment. My original comment was about how I won't buy Galaxy 2 if it's DLC only, but never I did mentioned I won't buy 3D Allstars at all, so no sure how you came up with that 😜
@KnightsTemplar how misunderstood you are. Wii stuff is relevant still, it's an accessible console with great games with how cheap it is nowadays and not everyone sells their console.
You keep mentioning a "pride" battle. It's not about that but rather the poor situation Nintendo is on dealing with this game.
However, based on your replies I doubt you even understand/know about this, so whatever, keep it to yourself.
And for the record, I do have preordered Allstars too, so sounds to me you have nothing more to say in the argument other than baseless stuff to try to look smart
BTW, I'm not against Nintendo releasing galaxy 2 as DLC either; it would be better if more people had the chance to play it.
I'm more annoyed at the thing that is a limited release. If they release galaxy as a stand alone game with no limit on when you can buy it, then cool, but making it a limited time DLC, along with owning a limited available time game seems silly. No point in buying something that will later be unobtaniable (but it doesn't really matters in the end, since by the end of the lifespan of the switch, the console will likely be easy to mod, so as long as the internet is up one might get the game via other means)
It would have been nice getting all the games in one, nice package, don't you think?
After all, I'm really excited to hear more about this! The announcer has dropped some hints, but I'm not able to guess how the game might function, but it gives me vibes that it's like a freenium game, which I really hoppe it's not the case.
Here's hoping to! I still have on my roadmap to make custom levels for the gamecube title, and a new game would be cool!

Re: Review: The Mysterious Murasame Castle - The Legend Of Zelda's Action-Focused Sibling
Been playing this on the Famicom Mini version on GBA; it's pretty great!
Difficulty is tough but I'm enjoying it so far. Got confused at first on the map layout but then found out it's alternate paths.
Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 6 Speeds Onto Switch Next Week
Happy to see SNES Bowser castle 3! I liked how tour approached it; glad to finally able to play it for the first time!
Solid tracks too; can't believe it's over. I wonder when the next MK is going to come.
Re: Poll: What's Your Switch Controller Of Choice For Super Mario Bros. Wonder?
The 8Bitdo Pro 2. Bought one to use for my Analogue Pocket Dock and realized it's better to play 2D platformers with it and it's been a blast.
Re: Talking Point: Which Version Of Super Mario Bros. 3 Do You Prefer?
NES because it has the original vision of the game; Sunset sky color in World 3 levels, World 8 number levels that have a monochrome palette, as well as other minor details. Re: Splatoon 2 Players Will Receive "Save Data Bonuses" In Splatoon 3
I hope we are able to select what we want to carry over.
I reached X rank on the past game but I haven't played since years.
I rather start from scratch on ranked matches 🤔
Re: Video: Do You Own A Video Game So Rare That You Can Never Actually Play It?
I have a mint CIB with inserts copy of Cubivore on the gamecube.
The disc was fine but my gamecube kinda added some linear scratches no it so it's not perfect anymore (it still works though)
Learned the lesson so now it's just on the shelf as display...
I did play it though via a modded wii 😜 Great game!
Re: Splatoon 3 Will Support Cloud Saves For Offline Play, According To Official Game Page

Re: Take A Look At La Pucelle: Ragnarok From 'Prinny Presents NIS Classics Volume 3'
YES. I never thought La Pucelle would resurface again.
Buying this day one!
I started playing the PSP Translation the last week, but I will hold till this releases.
Now that classic RPGs are being brought over, can we please somehow get the Luminous Arc trilogy? 🙏🏻
Re: It Looks Like Nintendo's Game Boy Emulator For Switch Online Just Leaked
@BlueGBAMicro why? You know, the retro video game collector market has gone awry due to scalpers and what not.
What's wrong with giving access to otherwise hard to get games to more people to play it via legal ways? 😛
Re: It Looks Like Nintendo's Game Boy Emulator For Switch Online Just Leaked
@BlueGBAMicro lol, why are you scared?
It's not going to devalue in the slightest...
Nothing beats playing on original hardware, besides if you plan to invest on it and sell it later, the people that will benefit from this are not your target client 😛
Re: It Looks Like Nintendo's Game Boy Emulator For Switch Online Just Leaked
About time!
Even if i have my modded IPS screen SP, original AGS-101 & Micro, if these support multiplayer, I'm all for it!
Hoping they add unreleased games, like the Sutte hakkun GB(C) game, which as far from what I played, is complete.
Re: Review: Gotta Protectors: Cart Of Darkness - An Inventive, Hilarious Action-Strategy Blend
I remember playing the 3ds game. Looks interesting, will get it later 👀
Re: Feature: 10 3DS Retail Games That Might Be Cheaper To Buy Digitally While You Can
Need to get Mario & Luigi: Bowser inside story and Ever Oasis as physicals 🤔
Re: Channel Your Inner John Wick Against Evil Dog Thieves In 'The Last Friend'
Great to see the game has a highlight here! I recommend everyone to try it.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 26th)
Finally got a PSVita; been playing Super Monkey Ball Banana Splitz after wanting for so long.
Game delivers for sure!
Re: Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania Will Have Hello Kitty Paid DLC
So people complaining and not buying the game because it has DLC for cosmetic things...?
Ridiculous, the base game with the 300 stages is already fine enough...
Re: Can't Wait For Your Zelda Game & Watch? Piczle Puzzle & Watch Collection Might Scratch The Itch
Looks interesting!
I hope this does well so nintendo sees it's time to release a new game & watch gallery... (how about all of the first party G&W games?)
Re: Sega Reveals Digital And Physical Versions Of Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania
Buying this on PC for that sweet smooth gameplay and a physical switch copy for collection!
Can't wait!
Re: Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania Is Rolling Onto Switch
Awesome! Seems like you can play these levels in a mode with the jump on? 🤔
I saw gon gon jumping on level named Dynamic Maze from SMB2
Re: 'Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania' Box Art And Screenshots Surface Online
YES! FINALLY!
I need this in PC though; switch will likely be at 30 fps
If it runs at 60fps then I'm fine.
Re: Nintendo Shares Juicy Mario Golf: Super Rush Details In Lengthy Overview Trailer

I hope they add something like the ring mode from toadstool tour on the gamecube.
Re: "Nintendo Switch Has Games" - And Now It Has An Expensive Calculator, Too
I would understand the appeal for this if it had graphing capabilities to use this instead of a TI, but nope.
I just rather buy a 10$ CASIO calculator that it's easier to carry around...
Re: Reminder: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light Disappears Very Soon
@Ghost_of_Hasashi I doubt it. I checked and it didn't had an expiration code. Would be bad business practice, as elsewhere codes don't usually expire.
@kducky11 yes
Re: Reminder: Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light Disappears Very Soon
question, if I bought the physical limited edition that includes a code, I will still be able to redeem it past this date right?
Re: Gallery: Splatoon 3 Is Looking Pretty Fresh In These New Screenshots
Splatoon: New Vegas
Honestly, I like the setting; it's outside of our typical city haha.

Re: Random: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity Might Include A Popular Zelda CD-i Reference
@AlienigenX Honestly, the music on those games isn't that bad. The cringe animations add to the comedic effects which check out.
The only thing I'd like for them to change is the controls; I feel that was the worst part of all those games.
Re: Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: The Baron Is Back Launches This Month, Both As An Update And A New Release
Well, if it's more content of the same game, then will get it. Just right now I'm put off a bit by the price 🤔
Re: Sega's Sonic Double Packs Are Out Now On Nintendo Switch
Why isn't mania or sonic team racing the one with monkey ball? :<
I would surely have got them.
Re: The Original Fire Emblem Is Coming To The West For The First Time Ever On Switch
Nice! Hoping the other ones follow suit.
Really hoping for both Jugdral games to be officially localized!
Re: Nintendo Reminds Us Its Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch Will Only Be Around For A Limited Time
I like it for the novelty concept. Will likely use it as a clock display all the time, and play some lost levels maybe if the screen doesn't suck.
Re: Review: FIFA 21 - EA Insults Switch Owners Yet Again With This Half-Baked Effort
They removed the older games from the eShop? Well now that just clearly states their intention. Still better to buy the old games used by now.
Re: Banjo-Kazooie, Byleth And Terry Bogard Smash Bros. amiibo Box Art Revealed
Great! Byleth looks cool! Not a problem since the male one is the one I use :>
Re: Minecraft's Steve Revealed As Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's Next DLC Fighter
Honestly I wasn't expecting anything, but I'm not disappointed.
It's a third party.
My only problem is how bland Steve looks compare to the whole game, but w/e.

@AgentGuapo not needed.
I'm more annoyed at the thing that is a limited release. If they release galaxy as a stand alone game with no limit on when you can buy it, then cool, but making it a limited time DLC, along with owning a limited available time game seems silly. if it comes off a DLC, won't buy. The games should be all in one cart.
The whole limited time release is silly too, like, if it's DLC you probably need the base game to play it.
I would understand if it was independent of the game though, where you could purchase it whenever you can, then by all means, great!
