Re: Rumour: SNES Games Might Be Coming To Switch Sooner Than You Think

GauBan

@mantez I kind of don't want then to release SNES controllers for the Switch that are like the NES and Famicom ones they released.

Would rather they buddy up with 8BitDo to re-release the original SN30 and SF30 controllers that have the slanted Select & Start buttons, but allow official Nintendo logos on them.

@WaveBoy input lag can be caused by almost anything.

Local Bluetooth interference
System Bluetooth bandwidth saturation (to many devices active)
System load (not normal for consoles due to hardware being dedicates to the task)
Bluetooth in general creates lag
Issues with game engine
Bug in games code
Additional processing such as emulators
TV image processing

I believe there has been a recent patch for the PS4 version so I need to check the game, but at same time being that I didn't touch the switch demo till after I had already played a lot of the PS4 version it. So maybe training myself to handle the games lag made the Switch demo seem to be more reactive.

@huyi yeah they do and yes you do need a GameCube adapter. They run as a pro controller with only A,B,X,Y you use a JoyCon for the menus.

You can also configure if you have both centres as one drum and the edge on the other. Or you can have it so you just need to rock your hand over a single drum to have both centre and edge.
You can't play multiplayer with 2 sets of Bongos.

I've got the PS4 version and still find the input lag was getting on my nerves at the start. But after a little brain training it worked OK. I've only tried the Switch Demo so far as I'm waiting for the full game to be delivered (Come on Play-Asia I need this).

I will say that I feel that the Switch version, both hand-held and docked, seemed to have less lag than the PS4. But tbh I won't really be able to make up my mind until I get my Switch version.

Re: Soapbox: Nintendo's Excuses Regarding Cloud Saves Aren't Good Enough

GauBan

@Arnold-Kage auto transfer using the newest save data. Stopping people from being able to restore to a previous say?

Yes they could. But would they take the time to slightly modify their initial implementation of cloud backup (even if it could be a very simple addition). Not like we've all be waiting for a way to keep our games saves save. Just incase something happens like.
1) System physical damage
2) Dodgy third party accessories
3) Bad firmware update from Nintendo bricking the system
4) Non removable battery fails

Someone is no doubt thinking "But you can use the system transfer process" which can't be done if the system is not able to be started. Thus we need cloud saves for every game that is on the system. Not just some/most.

Re: Senran Kagura Reflexions - Cheap Titillation Masquerading As A Love Story

@TJWorks I have no shame playing this game. I've had it since the Japanese launch. It's a good laugh and is what I expected from an Senran Kagura game. It is a very particular style of game that has a very Japanese "Otaku" stance.

@Damo seriously go back and watch it again. It was just not He-Man for Teela. More He-Man for Duncan
