@Alikan ShopTo.net will send you the Neon Pink & Green Joy-Cons for around $100 US including shipping. But there has to be stores in the US importing them.
@manu0 because people have just found it again. The Internet has a massive memory but the soft meat bags that use it have shorter memory than an dead goldfish.
@OorWullie I don't really care what I wear but picking the right match of case and Joy-Cons for my Switch on a daily basis is now a major under taking. Far too much choice.
@AcridSkull All Joy-Cons come with black straps (Either as standalone or with console). If you want colour straps, including grey, you need to spend an extra £5 for each one.
What gets me is that we never got the pink or green straps. Needed to import them from Japan or China.
Great idea. But they need to make sure it has enough USB ports as well as ports for other video inputs. Maybe even outputs to allow due display (TV & projector).
But as people are pointing out the light output will not enough to create a large bright image. Also there is then the question of heat of the projector and the Switch.
This is Nintendo adding games to their archive list. They have Pokemon Mini games listed. People are just getting over excited and hoping for GC VC to be tru
I use Buyee often to get things off of Yahoo Auctions when things are cheaper to buy than on eBay.
In fact just last week I picked up Japanese copies Akumajō Dracula XX,, Akumajō Densetsu (Castlevania 3) and Symphony of the Night all complete boxed for £70 including fees and shipping. I feel smug.
I also buy stuff from Japanese sellers who ship to the UK. Been doing it for years.
My only real reason would be get to get a Switch version of Pac-Man Vs. As it's easier to kick of a game than needing to cart around a Cube and multiple GBAs.
The Monster Hunter Amiibos are massive. The only larger plastic Amiibo is the Guardian from BOTW. I imported all 6 when there were released and I picked the first 3 up with the game. It's really fun and is a lighter hearted Monster Hunter game.
@KIREEK still no reports of the Amiibos being released outside of Japan. But I can't see a reason for them to cut the Amiibo functionality out of the game.
So getting Japanese imports or other non-Nintendo items might be the best option.
Did anyone feel that chill down their spine when the kid picked up a cart with hands covered in cracker oils and cheese dip then blew spit and food into the cartridge.
"download a compilation of classic titles with added online play"
Why do I get a feeling that this going to be the 30 NES Classic games, In a way trying to appease those who didn't get one but are wanting or already own a Switch.
@Slaz I got a launch Go+ but still got one. It has replaced my Go+ as a everyday capture-wear. It's great when driving around. I used to use the Go+ attached to my steering-wheel using a rubber band. But this works better as I just get the rumble to let me know something happened.
@dew12333 Niantic don't want you playing the game all the time. They want you walking around seeing what's around you. If you've always got your nose stuck to your phone screen you miss out one life passing around you.
To me Go+ and Go-Tcha are great as I can still be connected to the game while not needing to be on my phone all the time. They also work well for people driving or riding bikes. Of course within the speed restrictions applied by the game.
@Slaz @Damo if I recall the Go+ only uses two parts of data for connection. 1) Bluetooth ID this is just part of normal Bluetooth operations and is used to identify it as a unique device (Even though like network MAC addresses they are not that unique) and 2) the device identification information/code that informs the device that it is a Go+.
However as Go+ doesn't have any flashable memory so Niantic should not able to provide new firmware, which they would need to do to prevent unofficial devices from connecting.
Also for people interested the Go-Tcha is the same as the Mi Band 1s so you can replace the crappy plastic strap with more flexible silicon one and get extra charging cables for cheap on eBay.
I've had mine middle of April and the strap had already started to crack around where the unit fits in. So I've now replaced it with a black Mi Band strap and it feels better, grips the go-tcha better while not cracking around the unit.
Got both Grey and Neon on order (2 gamer houehold) and a load of other bits (think total is around £1,000) but the company I'm will not ship until 2nd using a courier. Normally it's shipped via normal mail and arrives a couple of days early.
So was hoping to get my Switch on 2nd then I was gonna go to a midnight launch and just stand there from about 7pm playing Zelda (With a USB battery pack of course). Like I've done with almost every portable. Even something weeks or months in advance because I brought import units. LOL
@saturn_hero my understanding (People can correct me if I'm wrong) is that the single colour Neon Joy-Con packs are not coming out at launch but possibly at a later date in the future.
I've sent stuff from US and Japan to myself in the UK and I some of those have been large expensive items. But I always make sure it's insured and if I can keep it with me while travelling instead I will.
As for if I would send anything from my collection to someone else? Hell no. You want to see it or use it you either come to me or I bring it to you.
Why didn't they do it the other way. Send the owner of the games a unit which could be used to rip the roms? Those are gonna be cheaper and easier to replace than those games.
Or even find someone close to the games owner who could rip stuff?
@AlexSora89 I still carry my GB Micro or SP with me everyday aswell as my UK New 3SS and Japanese 3SS LL and I'm sure I still will along with my Switch.
@gb_nes_gamerme it would give some unique ways to play that other home consoles can't take offer. For me my Switch is gonna be used in all the different play styles
@AlexSora89 it wouldn't be side-by-side. Once rotated into portrait orientation the emulated DS/3DS screens would be would be top and bottom. Same as the way the 2DS works.
But that would have been if they had extra slots on the unit. Else it could be done with some sort of bracket.
@gb_nes_gamer someone will bring out a mountable battery pack for the Switch that clips to it's back. Might even have HDMI pass through and USB to be a mobile dock.
@AlexSora89 before the full Switch announcement event I was hoping that the Switch was gonna have Joy-Con rails top and bottom aswell. That would mean you could have then turned the Switch sideways and attach the Joy-Cons in portrait layout. Thus being perfect for running DS and 3DS (In 2DS form) games. Also classic shooters that need to be in portrait mode like stuff from Cave.
@Bunkerneath If I remember the OVA never got a UK release on DVD as Manga UK lost the rights. However Pioneer got the rights in the US and you can get it from there, or Amazon UK, but I can't remember if they did a new dub.
@Damo But at the same time they didn't have the pro controller in the cabinet as part of the TV play set up. everything they showed seemed to be the contents of the retail package they outlined in the presentation.
But now I've looked a little there is a difference (apart from the USB). The Joy-Con Grip is all black/grey plasitc. The Charge model is the same shape bu appears to have clear plastic joining the handles to the centre of the grip.
I hate to say it but this is another thing that make it look like the Switch is trimmed to keep the unit as a acceptable price while also ensuring that they don't need to sell the unit as a loss and try to claim money back from software sales.
Interesting. At the Preview event in London they had the Switch laid out to show off the contents of the box and all that seemed to be the parts that came in the box. The Joy-Con Grip there displayed has a USB C port in the top of it.
@Balki Last time I checked they were taking money at checkout. Which constitutes and retail contract. But the Guarantee is that if the price changes they will honor the lowest price. As stated on their site "With our Pre-order Price Guarantee, you can order now and if the GameSeek price increases between the time you place your order and the release date, you'll be charged the lower price"
Don't forget GameSeek have already thrown their hand in with a £200 pre-order price. Which they guarantee is the price they will sell to people who pre-order at.
@Souldin I feel that the main problem had with Federation Force was the fact it was a Metroid Game without Samus. You could still play her in Metroid Prime Hunters.
Still not got my copy yet. (Thank Bexit and the French).
Anyway maybe they will re-skin it for a Splatoon game and see how quick it sells.
@Souldin not played it yet as my copy is delayed (thanks Europe) but having gyro controls do think it would have done better if it was a Splatoon game instead??
@Raylax there seems to have been problems with some companies getting stock.
"Dear Customer,
We are contacting you as we have been informed that this pre-order will be delayed until next week, this is due to the problems at the channel tunnel that has delayed the stock arriving with us. If you do not wish to wait for the item we can cancel this pre-order for you.
@NewAdvent I really like it to, but do I love it enough to replace my Charizard 3DS LL??? I know that someone makes a set for the New 3DS, that is kind of the same, which includes cover plate stickers. Maybe I'll just get that and wrap a cheap faceplate set and leave the rest of the stickers alone.
@Fazermint But being a site that reports exclusively on Nintendo and having also talked about Nintendo Japan announcements in the past including showing off Japanese exclusive consoles/adverts and game releases. Also know that there are enough people here who have a fondness for the Super Nintendo I would have thought this would have been mentioned, It could even have been a mentioned along with their Super Nintendo 3DS VC post.
As for responsibility of finding out news isn't that one of the main reasons why we come to NL. A place which has a single concentration of Nintendo news???

@saturn_hero my understanding (People can correct me if I'm wrong) is that the single colour Neon Joy-Con packs are not coming out at launch but possibly at a later date in the future.
Some stores have been listing them and taking pre-orders. But apart from a Neon console and Neon Joy-Cons the only way to get a single colour Neon switch is to order from Nintendo Japan where you can specify the colours. http://www.polygon.com/2017/1/19/14326620/nintendo-switch-different-colors
Re: Matching Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons Sure Look Pretty
@ElGrego unless you're willing to wait for your Switch then stick with the grey one. Everyone is saying that they have sold of the neon systems.
