Nicalis has revealed that its upcoming hack-and-slash title RemiLore will arrive on Nintendo Switch and other platforms on 26th February 2019.
The game sees an ordinary schoolgirl named Remi teaming up with a magic book called - you guessed it - Lore, all in an effort to battle fierce mecha-monsters in the anime-inspired world of Ragnoah. Players can vanquish enemies with a variety of powerful melee and magical ranged attacks, both of which can change dramatically whenever Remi equips any of over 200 different weapons.
There are several different gameplay options on offer, including a "full-featured" single-player story mode, two-player co-op, and several unlockable game modes. We've got a lovely bunch of screenshots for you to check out below.

RemiLore will be available for a recommended price of $39.99 when it arrives on Switch next year.

Looks worth giving it a shot
@YessMasster RemiLore certainly does look good, but at FORTY BUCKS, is it really worth a shot? It can’t be argued that Nicalis doesn’t deliver good games time and again, but for an indie outfit, they sure know how to charge for their digital games!
@The_Pixel_King Don't know enough to judge whether it's worth it or not yet. If it's 10-20h long or the story won't seem engaging, than most likely not, if it gives you30+ hours of fun than it might just be worth it. Still, what I see so far does make me to bookmark it and want to learn bit more.
Looks like a fun time to be had. If it comes out physical, it'd be worth a rental at least.
I really like the character design here. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.
@Fake-E-Lee Yep, I’m in the same boat entirely. I’ve got far too much great stuff to work my way though to be in a position to drop $40 on this. Unless it turns out to be a 9 or 10/10 masterpiece of course!
@Dualmask its getting a physical
Im keen! Nice to finally get a date
Finally. Been waiting for this for a while now.
Still waiting for Crystal Crisis also physical copies of Ikarunga and Save Me Mr. Tako!
Since it's also on PS4 I can imagine it being on sale for $20 six months after release, 8 months the latest.
And $40 does seem a bit much but indie devs keep raising their prices on a regular basis. Games that were $10 five years ago on PS3/X360 get sequels that are $20 or $30 that look like the same game. I waited 4 years for Rainbow Moon's sequel Rainbow Skies to release but balked when it was $30 this June. Now 6 months later it's on sale for $15.
Can't blame them for charging so much, somebody must be buying it at that price. Then a few months later it's on sale, then on sale again a few months after that. Then on PS+. Same for AAA games as well, $60 GotY GoW was on sale for $20 Black Friday. Nothing, except first party Ntinedo titles, goes more than 6 months w/o a big price cut sale.
This looks good, but I'll be waiting for one of those sales. Probably on PS4 but Switch has been catching up of late w/ non-Nintnedo games.
...in the Lands of Lore?
Lands of Lore is a 90s fantasy RPG series from Westwood Studios, that sadly met its demise when the third game turned out somewhat of a mess, and their main artist also happened to die. Rest in peace Rick Parks, you're my hero.
This... doesn't really reminds me of that series. But it does seem to have its own thing going!
Looks interesting, but not 40 dollars interesting. Maybe once it goes on sale for half that.
Those screenshots look pretty good, and Nicalis have my trust.
$40 is actually kind of my sweet spot for game pricing. It's out of "impulse buy" territory, but a tempting price for a game that looks good and comes from a publisher that I like. It's standard price for a high-quality 3DS game, so why would I balk at paying the same price for a Switch game that isn't AAA but is still a good, full-featured game?
If the reviews are positive, I'm down.
Good luck to those waiting for a sale. I've been waiting for "The Longest 5 Minutes" to drop down from $40 since it launched.
