To be honest, this is such a top tier move by Nintendo by announcing a new Main pokemon game for 2019

This way you can lure Go fans to get a Switch (i'm guessing, A TONS OF) and keep playing Pokemon, once they do that, they will flood over the new Pokemon game in 2019.

When my gf is watching TV i take the switch and play the game, simple as that

cooking? take my switch to the kitchen and play while i have time, same with the bathroom

I just feel the switch is just more akin to what i do on a daily basis than you do, which is prefectly fine. Hell i found a little too much of a hassle nowadays to turn my PC to sit down and play games while i can just take out my switch, press the power button and play for 5-10 minutes

I mean, the wiiu sold badly, it wasn't a bad console, i loved mine but it sold badly, there's no denying.

Why is labo put vs actual games? Labo is a toy, is not really a game.

Toys aren't frontloaded, they aren't supposed to sell for 3-4 weeks and call it a day, labo is supposed to sell for a long long time, slow and steady

I think this might show that the VC wasn't exactly the mine gold people thought it was, no way a company would leave behind something that makes money.

@Shellcore To be honest, it kinda was for me, okey Botw and odyssey did help, but i have so little time overall that the switch is perfect for me, is strong, is portable, can be docked for the little time i have when i'm home. and Some ports just feel weird to play on my PC (or PS4/XB1 for all that matters)

So i take with me and play in the train or in the dead times i have at work, honestly, if it wasn't for the Switch i would not be able to play games that much anymore, life saver... so ports for me are great, even if i already have them on my PC.

Is just that, between girlfriend, work, gym, and life, I just don't really have that much time so being able to pick it up, turn it on and restart my game independently where i am is amazing, sure 3DS could do the same but it was too underpowered nowadays.

@Bunkerneath Consdering just 3 people in the world actually bought a WiiU i consider this games as new, tbh.

The Touch version is much much better nowadays

Only reason to buy this Remaster is if you want it on the go on Switch, i already play the original at 4k/60fps using DSFix.

@Yookatonic the original game was quite poor overall, it lacked A LOT, story, writing, side quests, etc... almost no character development and the battle system had some annoying unbalanced stuff

This is supposed to be Earthlock 2.0, with many things added and a more refined and balanced battle system

i played it on PC for a bit, and i could saw that it definitely lacked a lot of polish, so maybe they added that now

The lack of AAA games is not about power, is more about games weren't being developed for the system because why would you?

WiiU failure is the reason, while i reckon that i saw the Switch potential right from the reveal (they got that right) it wasn't going to be easy to tell investors and game developers to put their games onthe Switch. WiiU made everyone second thought about support a different system from Nintendo, it was down to Nintendo to show that the Switch is a capable system that can sell (I hardly believe developers actually care about power if they are selling millions) games.

Everyone was afraid of another failure by Nintendo, would you be that supportive of a systme if history told you otherwise? At least i would not have support the Switch right away consindering what happened with the WiiU, is that simple.

Now that the Switch is a super success we have started to see more and more games coming, and we should see even more in the future.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE To be quite honest, Not many developers knew that much about the Switch

the 1-2 to nature of the consoles + the terrible WiiU were obvious in the "should i put money in this console, chances are it's another flop".

Developing takes time and the reassure from nintendo that this console will sell, i guess that part it's done and we should see more 3rd party games coming.

It's so expensive, so freaking worthless, you can get recognized brands usb-c chargersfor much less, even Xiaomi USB-C charger with a c-to-c cable costs half that, which you can import for free from AliExpress.

This is mostly to show off skills by the hacker itself, have you see the piracy scene, is all egos and whatnot, for example, who by passes denuvo update first, etc...

I can see this dude getting extra points when applying to a developer position because of this.

@Nomad How is that impressive? It was pretty much the other game to Zelda and it had the launch boost.

ARMS is a 3D fighter that was pretty shallow in terms of content au launch and Xeno2 is a hardcore JRPG not named Final Fantasy.

If anything i think ARMS is a little underwhelming but i think we will see a new version in 2-3 years, but Xeno2 is something glorious, it sold more than 1, 3D or X in less than a month

U3 benefits comes from better writing speed which I DOUBT THE switch would need more than 10mb/s anyway and even if it does, that's plenty enough.

U1 is more than enough as read speed is the important one when it comes to consoles (loading times) and both are pretty much equal (U1 vs U3)

They only thing I get from this is

Sony needs better mascots, nobody cares about neither of those, MAYBE crash and that's about it

@SharkAttackU You are assuming PC upfront is more expensive, i know that, but in the long run (or even in the short one if you build it alongside a Steam/GOG/Uplay/Origin sale) is way more cost effective and you have great paths to upgrade.

AM4 and Ryzen are supposedly to be supported for the next 4 years at least.

And you cant stop counting the extra price in games, $60 a year for XBL (that youll probably pay when you buy the console), so suddenly, $499 becomes $559, and you arent that far from a great 1080p/60 or 4k/30 fps PC, you only need to know where to spend.

Add a few games on steam sale, and gg, you already saved money bar exclusives (which PC has its own, also retrocompatibility without having to wait for someone to allow it, 95% of the cases at least)

@Hamguar People just dont understand that even a simple 1060 or RX480/580 can do 4k at 30fps at medium/high. Thats the problem, 4k is NOT THAT HARD to move honestly, mid tier GPUs can do it this generation with the amount of gddr5 they have, only if you want to push much more frames you need to start looking at the $350+ tier.

a $249 GPU right now can net you 1080p/60 with ease, i played Gears of War 4 at 4k/30 on my RX 480 (which i plan to upgrade once Vega comes out), not a single fps drop, locked the frame rate and called it a day.

I dont think price of the WiiU was a problem to be honest, the Switch in a 3 minute 30 second reveal told the idea behind the console way better than the WiiU did in its entire lifespan.

Its all about marketing, samsung galaxy phones arent the best in every way possible (especially their low/mid range awful phones) yet they still sell A LOT, while OnePlus 3T with its much more interesting price point sells, its succesful, but in a much smaller scale, yet its like $300 cheaper
