Re: More Than A Million Super Mario Maker Levels Have Been Uploaded In A Week

Faruko

People saying "levels are not good" need to realize that the people making levels are not actual developers and have no idea what they are doing, some levels could be flashy but boring others challenging but unfair.

Thats the problems with this kind of games, especially in its early stages, once people get more and more familiar with the system levels shouls be getting better and better, dont expect everyone to be Miyamoto in a single week, thats downright stupid.

Re: A Resident Evil 2 Remake Has Been Confirmed

Faruko

@ejamer Howis that stupid ? if NX sells well enough dont you think companies will bring their games to it ? the reason because neither RE game or other games came to the WiiU was because it sold really bad

Like i said a few weeks ago somewhere i cant remember, the wii sold that well that some companies even adapated their games for the wii hardware (Activision), even thou they were "next gen" exclusives.

Same will happen with the NX if it does well.

Companies like money (when money > investment) they dont care about which console gives them money as long as its worth it.

Re: A Resident Evil 2 Remake Has Been Confirmed

Faruko

This will take TIME

Im pretty sure late 2017, by that time NX will be out and it will depend if the console sold well or not.

If it does, im pretty sure capcom would not let the oportunity to get money untouched lol

Re: Talking Point: Wii U Gamers Have Been Treated Poorly By The Third-Party Retail Scene, But The System Still Brings Joy

Faruko

I have to ask

Have they treat poorly WiiU owners or have WiiU owners treat poorly third party developers ? Wii had some great third party sales, even some companies "adapted" their games to the Wii hardware (Call of Duty) mostly because (and to shut down those damn awful rumours) 3rd party sold WELL on the Wii.

But not on the WiiU,one could argue that was what brought wasnt enough but still... i dont think Third parties are the only ones to blame.

Re: Talking Point: Competitive Gaming With Super Smash Bros. and More Can Be Vital for Nintendo

Faruko

@Yorumi I mean that was more or less where i was going, even if you can see how competitive a game can be, chances are that:

A) a few games dominate the scene (MOBA for example, its Dota 2, LoL and more or less Heroes of the Storm).

B) Theres no audience for that game/type.

Even some fighting games are childs play (SF4 might be the only comparable one, melee lags behind in terms of prize money) when compared to other bigger games, especially when it comes to "sponsors", there are 4 digits (and no, not 1000 dollars) contracts on SC2, Dota 2 and LoL...

Re: Talking Point: Competitive Gaming With Super Smash Bros. and More Can Be Vital for Nintendo

Faruko

Even if you can explain how "competitive" MK8 is, the reality its that theres 0 Racing game on the eSports scene, Trackmania (on ESWC) was the only one and it was dropped.

And i dont think MK8 would change that.

By the way, nobody cares about casual competition, im talking about playing with the big boys, for thousands of dollars. not for measly $100 for the winner, with companies behind X player and stuff.

Re: Talking Point: Competitive Gaming With Super Smash Bros. and More Can Be Vital for Nintendo

Faruko

@Kaze_Memaryu Im sure there are A LOT mechanics that needs to be found out. When Lotus Orb was added to the game, nobody knew how it would work out with X skills, or the new Aghanims upgrade, fox example... "Does WK aghanim works with Techies Suicide ?" Nobody knew untill someone tried. Or that some ulties give you invulnerability, like Manta Dodge, CK Ulti or Brewmaster Ulti... something thats NEVER been on the skill description. or even pulling or delaying the creep wave

Nothing its on the info of the skills/item

Dota 2 its really a cryptic game unless you play it A LOT, yet its played by millions every day and has one of the strongest competitive scenes after LoL (and a 16m tournament starting this week)

Re: Talking Point: Competitive Gaming With Super Smash Bros. and More Can Be Vital for Nintendo

Faruko

@shani i do get your point

to be fair, any game can be competitive, Halo, Gears, even CoD where forced into the scene (and Halo end up dying at some point, and its on oxygen, Gears its 100% dead and CoD does has a strong following)

Nintendo could end up forcing MK/Splatoon into the scene with tournaments and stuff, but i dont see them being build up for that, at least not this iteration of each game (not competitive level, im talking about eSport) games that want to be taken seriously (like really serious) should be build up from the ground with that in mind.

But neither of those games are even close to the likes of Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL, SC2 or even SF which are tailored made with eSports/competive in mind, most of the games mentioned before never get patched or balanced more than a few months into the game's life, but Dota 2, CS:GO, etc... get patched/balanced regularly for years.

Re: Talking Point: Competitive Gaming With Super Smash Bros. and More Can Be Vital for Nintendo

Faruko

Mario Kert 8 would never work imo, actually, i dont know about any racing game in the eSports scene.

Splatoon could work out with a few updates (or maybe next iteration), Smash/pokemon are already stablished would be better if Nintendo pushes them even further (especially Pokemon, i could become a HUGE hit in the eSports scene i mean).

But before anything like that happens, Nintendo really needs to change some of their decisions, they need to add (globally) voice chat, private matches, a "guild" system, options, and money to put in tournaments

If not, Nintendo will never make a crack.

"Devil's Third is shaping up to be one of the worst games Nintendo has ever published."

NRW - http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/hands-on-preview/40748/devils-third-wii-u-hands-on-preview

"The single-player of Itagaki's latest is a drab, shallow adventure."

Eurogamer - http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015-07-15-devils-third-is-a-terrible-game-but-can-it-be-so-bad-its-good

"Have you ever pondered over the question of what would happen if Tomonobu Itagaki made a mash-up of Ninja Gaiden and Modern Warfare-era Call of Duty, most likely while drunk and working on a PlayStation 2 devkit with a fiver and a pocketful of loose change to bring it all home? Boy does Devil's Third have the answer for you. (...) Going from those first few hours, then, Devil's Third is undoubtedly a bad game. It pushes beyond that, even, to be a truly atrocious one, one that now teeters on the edge of becoming a glorious car crash you can't help but stop and stare at. I'm amazed that Nintendo has backed this mess"

I cant be the only one seeing the trend with this game, like a comment on eurogamer: "Devil's Turd"

Re: Negative Reception For Devil's Third Is Due To Poor Player Skill, Claims Tomonobu Itagaki

Faruko

@Hero-of-WiiU The wii didnt even had HD capabilities, people knew what to expect, this is lazy.

graphics ARE part of a game, frame-rate ITS part of a game, they might not be the end-all be-all of a game, but they are indeed important. Nintendo knows about that, thats why 60fps are indeed a pillar of Nintendo games because they know that they not only make a game more responsive and look better (seriously, ill take 60fps over better graphics any freaking day of the week), it makes gameplay much better.

Re: Negative Reception For Devil's Third Is Due To Poor Player Skill, Claims Tomonobu Itagaki

Faruko

@Achoo what ? Are you telling me that previews arent worth it ? @damo did what it had to do, say what the game looked and play like.

I dont know about you, but im not ready to spend $60 dolllars on a crappy game, do you remember the NES ERA ? I could have saved my family a fortune if i didnt buy every game that had a cool title and screenshot.

The preview was based on the review copy, i dont anything would magically change...

Re: Speculation Grows That AMD Will Provide the Nintendo NX Processor

Faruko

@sarkwalvein Intel CPU are better than AMD CPU, especialyl since the later has been rebranding and tunning their same old tech for years... but AMD does indeed have a great price/performance ratio.

a FX 8350 its pretty cheap for a quite decent 8core CPU for the "masses", core-per-core its nowhere near an Intel CPU but, in gaming, most CPUs are way way ahead of what you actually need and the FX-8350 for $160 more or less its a lot more than what you would actually need (i have an i5 4570, for the record),hell even the FX-6000 are decent. (again, always considering that AMD core speed its way lower than Intel core speed)

even some i3 (dual core) or the FX-4000 (Quad-core) are enough in some cases.
