Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch

Farmboy74

@Blister, the arcades days were great days. Daytona, Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Ridge Racer, Time Crisis, Sega Star Wars Arcade, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat just to name a few all appeared in my local arcade at some point back in the day.

@Blister, I was also more excited about Capcom Arcade than than anything else that was shown in the Nintendo Direct. I think this is down purely to the old gamer in me who remembers games like these and are the reason I got into video games in the first place. Unfortunately I haven't got my TV mounted to a TV mount that can rotate.
I went full in and paid for the £30 for the full bundle. It will be interesting to see if Capcom adds more game packs because their CPS system catalogue has some true gems in it.

I'm hoping that Capcom will keep on adding packs. I would love to see Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Aliens Vs Predators, Darkstalkers, Super Gem Fighters and Pang to name a few. Would absolutely love to see the X-Men games but I imagine that one is in the hands of Marvel and Disney

Re: Poll: Should Nintendo Release A Digital-Only Switch?

Farmboy74

Moving to digital only for my Switch and already made the transition on the PS4. To many games require day one patches or are not entirely on the disc or cartridge. Maybe for a Switch successor have 2 SD card slots instead of one (assuming there is a Switch 2 and Nintendo are still stingy with on board storage).

Re: Alienware's Impressive Switch-Like Concept UFO Wins Best-In-Show Award

Farmboy74

I like what Alienware have done, bigger controls, bigger kick stand and easier way of connecting it to a monitor or tv. I think from the videos I’ve seen it can also dock into some kind of base.
With it being a portable pc it has access to all the usual store fronts and therefore some games that won’t come to the Nintendo Switch. It’ll be interesting if it makes it to market and to see how expensive it it is.

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo Direct Summary - 13th February

Farmboy74

I thought is was a very good solid direct. Far to many games coming that I would like to play, going to have to prioritise what I can afford and what I haven't played before. Assassins Creed will have to wait and I'll see what the dlc for Captain Toad is like before double dipping on that as well.

Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want From A Switch Mini?

Farmboy74

Why not bring the Japan only dockless variant of the current Switch? I’d be excited about an upgraded version of the current Switch but a Switch mini no.
With 32 million Switches out in the wild already how many of these are already being used by kids?

Re: Talking Point: What's Next For Nintendo After Switch?

Farmboy74

Stick with the Switch concept, it’s been proved that Nintendo can’t keep two systems going at once, Sony couldn’t manage two systems at once.

I can’t see no reason while Nintendo can’t keep refing the Switch concept and keep churning them out for generations to come.

Re: Review: Football Manager Touch 2018 (Switch eShop)

Farmboy74

I think the words "ill-fitting port" are a bit strong. I get the critisism about the clunky UI, but give it a few hours and you will soon learn where things are.
This game is addictive as hell and once hooked it will keep pulling you back in for more. As a first time football manager player my advise to anyone playing this for the first time be patient and give it time.

Re: Manticore: Galaxy On Fire Will Swoop Onto Switch On 22nd March

Farmboy74

I absolutely loved Galaxy on Fire 2, can’t say much about Manticore as Fish labs / Deep Silver went with the ftp route and I don’t really do ftp games.
@Defeated_Hero, your first post has gone a long way in getting me back interested in Manticore again, looking forward to seeing this get released at the end of March. On a separate note, if Manticore sells well, will Deep Silver Fish Labs think about bringing the first two Galaxy on Fire Games to the Switch?
