@Lopezdm, I think the success of the Wii took Nintendo by surprise, this has I feel made them a bit complacent. The writing has been on the wall for a longtime as third party support is concerned with them looking for excuses not to release or delay games on Nintendo platforms. Nintendo need to give independent devs more support for the eshop and maybe set up some dev teams and studios of their own to keep the games flowing on Wii U
What has upset people is the needless delay of what appears to be a finished game. Nintendo should have had this locked down tight as an exclusive when it was first announced, Ninty now have to make sure that Wondeful 101, Lego City & Bayonetta 2 stay as system exclusives. They also need to get their sh*t together and get releasing games, they relied on third parties for the 3DS launch that didn't work, they have done the same with the Wii U and it appears this also is not going to work. The Wii U should of launched with some killer Nintendo games, don't forget new Xbox and PS are around the corner this situation could get worse if Nintendo are not careful
But the question surely must be: Was it an exclusive in the first place? And if the answer is no there is no way Nintendo will get any money out of Ubisoft
So the Wii U has lost exclusivity for this game, with two weeks to go like others I cannot see why the Wii U version is delayed. The game must be complete and ready to go. It would have been better for the Wii U having this game exclusive for a while. This game has been built up from the ground for the Wii U supposedly, I just hope that they are not now going to take out the gamepad features and leaves us with a crappy version just to chase PS3 & 360 sales
@Swiket, sure is I've still got the NES limited edition and it is still going strong. Thinking about things my original gameboy is still going strong as well
At least Nintendo recognize that their development teams need strengthening, hopefully we'll see a new F-Zero and some new IP'S. Does this mean that they are looking to set up a new development team or studio? It's also interesting to see that full powered dev kits have been only available for six - seven months at most. Hopefully as time moves on we will also get some multiplatform games.
At least they've been honest about not wanting to do a half hearted port. I think we're just going to have get use to not getting all multiplatform titles.
WingedFish called it right, this indeed will be a cash cow, just don't let your kids see the adverts!! The pain to my wallet this will cause will be immense, In fact I think I see Daisy the cash cow walking down the farm path getting ready to be milked!!!
The cost of the games are expensive at the minute I've seen Alien Colonial Marines for pre order on Amazon for £50!!, Mass Effect 3 £45. Having said that a couple of the ports are starting come down in price. It was the same situation when PS3 launched in the Uk £50 a game, the prices will come down eventually, they will have to if publishers want people to buy their games.
Another week, another negative article doing the rounds about the Wii U. There are some games I find interesting coming up, Lego City, Rayman Legends, Aliens Colonial Marines, Wonderful 101, Bayonetta 2. Lets see what the situation is like in 12 months
If Nintendo brought THQ'S existing gaming assets, it would bolster Nintendo's list of first party franchises. I for one wouldn't mind seeing future Saints Row, and Darksiders being Wii U exclusives. If Ubisoft buys them, there's no guarantee that Ubisoft would bring these titles to the Wii U.
As drunkenmaster76 has stated, once you have paid for the premium pack and two games, your wallet / bank balance is going to take some time to recover from that type of damage. Until the Wii U is brought in more numbers, I can't see it competing against the established systems chart wise. Also Nintendo have released a new console when the UK economy has gone down the pan, not many people can afford that type of outlay and again established systems have received a substantial price cut. Better advertising is required along with more exclusives. It's better to look at this situation when Monster Hunter, Rayman Legends, Pikmin 3 & Lego City Undercover have been released. All big games and more importantly only available for Wii U.
Another factor could be the fiasco that was the 3DS launch, no set retail price letting the retaillers set the price people have long memories. Also the cost of buying an external hard drive could be a factor if you are planning on downloading a lot of software.
It's a combination of things, the price of the Wii U is to high especially the basic model, Nintendo need to advertise more, not enough exclusive games on launch, the economy is still in the gutter no one's got a lot of money to spend. It's not a stock issue as my local Asda has plenty of stock available

Re: Nintendo Is Strengthening Development Teams, Defends Wii U Capabilities
I think MIcrosoft own the rights to Killer Instinct, since they brought Rare

I would like to see Skyrim, what about Star Wars 1313? does any one think the Wii U can handle that?

Re: So, How Is The Wii U Doing In The UK?
Chalk up one more UK sale, as I picked up a premium pack yesterday and also Zombie U & Assassin Creed III.
Re: Review: Family Party: 30 Great Games Obstacle Arcade (Wii U)
This kind of shovelware gave the Wii a bad name, we don't need games like this infecting the Wii U
