A brand new trailer for the upcoming Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package has just been released, coming alongside the announcement of the game's Deluxe Pack which is available to pre-order from GAME starting today.
The game is set to launch on 10th May (so in just under a month's time) but if you really can't wait, here's a look at what you'll get by picking up the Deluxe Pack:
The Deluxe Pack contains an array of Saints Row inspired goodies including:
- A set of Saints Row Analog Stick Thumb Grips, for extra control
- A2 Double-sided Poster, featuring iconic Saints Row: The Third artwork
- Purple Microfibre Screen Cloth, adorned with the Saints Row: The Third insignia
- 2 Console Sticker Sheets, showcasing iconography from the world of Saints Row
- 3 Double-sided Lithographs, featuring artwork of six of the series’ most beloved characters
- Double-sided Alternative Artwork Inlay, that owners can use to personalise their boxed copy
- Deluxe Game Case Sleeve, featuring the original 2011 artwork for extra nostalgia
The standard release, called 'The Full Package', will be available from the Nintendo Switch eShop on its release day of 10th May. It's priced at £34.99 / $39.99 and comes with the following game features (also present in the deluxe release, of course):
· City of Sin - Disrupt and dismantle the Syndicate stranglehold on weapons, cybercrime, and criminal rackets. Discover the secrets of Steelport, where there is action on every street corner, for better or, more likely, worse.
· Weapons of Crass Destruction – It’s one thing to defeat your enemies. It’s another to humiliate them. Hover jets, human cannonball cars and melee weapon warfare are all part of the fun.
· Joy-Con Crazy Customisation – Create the most outlandish characters ever seen, from washed-up celebrities to maskless ninja pirates. Inside every sinner, there is a Saint. Who will you become?
· Portable Over The Top Co-op – Fly solo, or play online with a homie and for the first time – two players can play side to side via online or local multiplayer. Give freefall skydiving a try, landing in your partner’s flaming pickup as you make a desperate run toward a heavily armed Syndicate base. Steelport is always more fun with a friend.
· The Full Package – Includes all three mission packs and more than 30 DLC items. All previously released content is included on the game card.** Two DLC packs - the Bloodsucker Pack and the Unlockable Pack, have been omitted for game balance and improvement based on feedback.

Looking forward to finally getting around to this one now that it's on Switch.
Im in.
Any news on the price of the Deluxe Edition?
@clvr, according to Games website by pre-ordering the Full Package you will get the deluxe pack for free. Of course usual disclaimers apply subject to availability and one copy per customer
It did say game card, didn't it? It's disheartening that we live in a world where you have to double check whether a physical release actually has a physical copy of the game.
That local multiplayer has my attention. I love games that do local wireless play (diablo 3, RE revelations, overcooked 2 ect.) I'll wait for reviews and go from there.
@Rockman55 especially since bethesda is pulling no cartridge stunt with youngblood with download code in the case.
Just when I thought I had my card space sorted even with two potential 3 Gb purchases in mind, this thing shows up on local eShop promising a 7 Gb open world driving madhouse, and local price is actually closer to 30 bucks. The sound you just heard was my "release order binge" MO cracking under pressure. Doesn't help that: a) I can't start this series properly anyway (OG SR is a perrenial OG XBox exclusive), b) With my GPD Win still lent out, I don't expect access to my Steam SR2 for months and c) I've already "sinned" with SR4 in this sense, padre. One of those games you grab on a sale (bundled with Metro back then) and decide to sneak peek at since they're on your hard drive anyway and... yeah. The classic Remote Play control scheme issues are the only thing that made me shelf it several hours and sessions later, and said issues tend to make me dejectedly put down PS4 games in less than an hour.
I dare expect a similar experience in this game, but with the unlocked perk of being able to shoot and drive normally. A relatively useful bargain for the oh so dreaded "Switch tax", eh? 😄
> Pre-orders made before 11/04 will be eligible to receive this item.
damn
Super excited to play this on the go, but $40 seems too much. Would pick it up for under $30.
love that purple index spine
@Rockman55 at least, like I've said before, presence of physical merch would ironically justify the existence of a box with a download code to an extent. Why Bethesda won't just send the standard edition of Young Blood straight to eShop and call it a day is beyond me.
@verminio I’m hoping that’s an old date before the release date was locked in and it’s meant to be before release date as that makes far more sense
Just take money & shove your collective Switch revenue reports up Rockstar's @ss.
Just to be that guy... why have we not got GTA V yet?
Shame it's not SR4 to be honest. Which I already have on PS4 anyway.
Almost forgot about this one, I enjoyed my time with this on 360 so I’m ready to give this game a go on Switch.
Hmm, looks like a bunch of junk bundled with a game, pretty typical for a physical deluxe edition.
Uhmm isn't this the first trailer for the Switch version???
It looks good and fun! I think I'll get it.
@Stocksy fingers crossed
I loved SR4 when I played it a couple of years ago, so very excited to give this a try especially on the go! I hope it runs well
@Farmboy74 whoa, that sounds great!
I’ll need to check out if stuff like that also applies to Italy.
Thank you!
This is the first game like this ever released on a handheld, I do believe.
3DS never saw a game like this. Neither did Vita. I suppose there was GTA on DS and PSP but... not the same. Those were old school.
This is another Neil Armstrong moment for video games. And it has local MP.
@JaxonH Liberty City Stories was on PSP. It was awful, but it was there.
This is probably the only big game I'll get till the first party hitters later this year. I get terribly bored with GTA, but the dialogue and characters in SR make it feel like I'm playing a buddy action flick
Gta this ain't, but I'm going all in for this. Switchs library and nintendos reputation as not just for kids keeps going from strength to strength
In the absence of GTA on Switch, Saints Row The Third fills that void nicely. Now only if Square Enix would port Sleeping Dogs to the Switch.
Goodness 2019 has an agenda to keep me broke.
@verminio same price as amazon and they are some fairly decent extras so I’ve taken a punt anyway.

@JaxonH that list has reminded me how many I’ve got on preorder and how many I still wanna buy!! The back log is going to get even sillier than it already is!
@JaxonH yeah this is the first time I’ve ever stopped buying games because there is too much out or on the way. I’m getting my time at Portia on Friday but I’m just saving like a grand for my last month of GCU (june) and Ill go crazy then. I’m not complaining but this was so not the planned budget this year. Gamer problems?
I’m still trying to buy my wish list for January through March. I am afraid for E3. I will have to get a second job at this rate (and I just went one job only!!!)
@Ryu_Niiyama
Take advantage while you can. My GCU runs out next March, and I'm preordering everything I can between now and then.
It's definitely too much for any one person to keep up with, but that's a good feeling to have. Just focusing on the key games is the best strategy, but personally I still like to buy everything I'm interested in day one (cause with GCU and CC money back, why not) and at least play a little of everything. The ones that grab me, I keep playing. Ones that don't, I play what I can til the next game releases, then they get backlogged.
Let me know how My Time At Portia is. I've heard good and bad equally, so... would be nice to have some honest takes on it.
@Stocksy
It really is!
There's just no possible way to keep up with all this. But I'll die trying 😁
I'm very confused... Is the only way to get a physical copy is to pre-order it from that website? Or can I just pick it up from Amazon or a brick and mortar store?
@Ryu_Niiyama keep this in mind with your GCU - if you do preorders there is a chance they'll cancel or modify your preorder purchase once the GCU expires. I don't think that's 100% but please look up stories. Just saying this cuz you may want to buy only stuff released already. Also, don't wait until your last day to do it (ALSO heard stories of it not working because you try to buy too much in bulk on the last day). Also double check on your profile when it ACTUALLY expires. Mine actually expires a few weeks before the 2 year prior purchase date.
@titotito3399 BestBuy has a physical up. Don't see any deluxe edition stuff tho.
@JaxonH Moving to the Portia Thread ...Actually there doesn't seem to be one. Can you make one? I'm traveling and am on my phone. I'll post my response there.
@Dang69 cool, I rather just walk in and grab it from Best Buy.
@Dang69 Yeah I've been tracking my GCU end date. I'll be ok with that part and I don't preorder after Amazon canned their deal unless it's amiibo, so I'll be ok with the rest. Thank you for the warning though.
I just wanted Gat out of Hell, for shame THQ! lol
I wonder why they haven't shown gameplay yet ? Even the newest trailer is not from the switch.
Now this is a bit more like it. Sure it is an old port - but not full price and they tossing in a few freebies if you jump in early.
You will easily sell this back for $20 after you done.
Played this,and still have a perfect copy of this in storage on 360 not that I can use home consoles now. Just pre ordered this and assassins creed, which yes I own and it’s in storage too.
Keep the 3rd party games coming, just give me gears of war (any one will do) a proper Star Wars game and oblivion. That would have me with some seriously sore thumbs.
This was my favourite in the series and can’t sit to play it again. Wasn’t fussed on the 4th one
For a second there I thought it was a steel cased sleeve.
Never played a saints row game. 🤔🤔🤔
Also why is Nintendolifes website not secure 🥴
@nhSnork They want retail presence even if using a 16GB card for a 30 dollar game is too expensive.
If the box+download code thing irritates you so much just pretend it doesn't exist and buy it on the EShop.
It'd be great if they could remaster the first 2 games.
@Indielink I'm not irritated - and as someone who buys digital whenever he can, I can't really imagine why I would be, - I'm just puzzled. Sad to learn that even "x is beyond me" phrase has been abused by fan buzz to the extent where it comes across as hostile, but I'll look for a different expression next time (although come to think of it, talking "justifications" may have set up most of the arrogant tone in the whole comment /)_-) ).
I'm also curious if such a retail presence may score retailers more profit or not. After all, such a unit is literally all cardboard, it can't have a high production cost, so I'd reckon the stores will be mostly stocking a software license to resell; if they keep a standard price expected from a standalone extension (and mirrored on eShop as per usual), that should allow for a bigger retailer share, no? Granted, I tend to suck at economics, so I'm aware I might be missing a lot of points here and talking silly stuff.
preordered mine back in january =) got an email that i will get the limited edition with goodies. wohoo, thx i love thq nordic
Will this edition with extra content be released in the us if so I'm sold
@LuciferOnReddit
They suck big time. Preordered 2 of these deluxe versions, then according to description they cannot guarantee this version anymore, yet they keep luring people with the title and image. So I got in touch via their livechat, nobody who works there knows but I was allowed to return it at my own expensive if I wanted to wait and see what I would receive eventually. So decided to cancel, as they do not even care. Then few days later I got in touch again hoping to catch someone who had a little service orientation, but this guy even told me they won't even ship this version internationally at all. You will see now that people are still getting it after all and I will regret canceling my preorder. And although I really hope to still get it some day, they can keep their stuff.
@Ryu_Niiyama From Dec 7 until this month. Moving on from this week it is insanely packed with significant stuff. Drought doesn't mean "nothing." Drought means, big gaps between stuff with a bunch of kind of poopy games or old games doing not a lot new (if you've played them before), inbetween. Between Dec 7 and now we've Mario U and Yoshi, neither do anything for me but that's on me. Then we got a few smaller games that turned out kind of bad (Caligua), some nice old ports that don't do much new for me (FF7&9), Travis which was lackluster, etc. Katamari in Dec I adored, so I'm not dissing on old stuff, a lot of care was put into making that really worth picking up again. Same with Darksiders (but that was this month). I had fun with Tetris and a TON of fun with Blaster Master Zero. Wargroove was solid but...it was kind of dull with some nice mechanics. So I'm not saying there was nothing. Just very slow and unexciting which equals a drought. A drought isn't a desert, but has the danger of becoming one, is all. It wouldn't be the end of the world but 2018 was pretttty dry. Smash was cool, Pokemon was ok, Starlink sadly sucked...and we got some old WiiU ports. I actually regret complaining about those ports cuz I woulda gladly taken some more this first half of the year. Dark Souls was so late last year that when it got delayed, I bought a PS4. I bought it halfway thru building a LABO Variety kit last April. What sucks about this year is, when the second half of the year releases stuff, I'm gonna have to skip things and not support them at launch cuz it's too dense, tho I would have if they had been better planned release wise. Super excited for Cuphead and Katana Zero on my bday tho! From here on out it looks pretty good. Never played Saint's Row, never played Dragon's Dogma. RE4 on Switch!
I too buy a lot for Switch, but I end up regretting a lot of the buys cuz I kind of get desperate for something new. If I had only first picked up a Switch last year, it'd be chill. But getting one in April 2017, experiencing that first year, the "absolutely fine" second year and this reallllly slow last few months, I'm finding myself buying PS games and I weirdly HATE doing that cuz I'm such a dumb Nintendo lifer.
@JaxonH Yeah, I already stopped buying every big AAA title that is being ported over. Next month I might only get Resident Evil 4 HD and maybe Sonic racing (if it's actually good), in June only Mario Maker and in July only Fire Emblem.
However, I don't see me keeping that promise to myself
@JaxonH
The gameboy color and advanc ports of GTA.
Honestly it's a great game and I'm glad people who haven't gotten a chance to play it are.
@sanderev
RE4 is gonna come down to whether it has gyro added like the Revelations games. I’m buying it regardless but, that will determine whether it gets priority in the playlist.
Sonic Racing Transformed was excellent so I expect great things from Team Sonic Racing. Mario Maker 2 and Fire Emblem are monumentally hyped releases. It’s nice to make plans but, then the games release and it’s like... ok, screw it, I’m in 😁
Right now, Final Fantasy X is the focus. Played back on Vita, loved it, playing through again on Switch going back and forth between the TV and handheld. Gonna follow up with X-2 and then XII, neither of which I’ve played beyond the first few hours.
I remember when Saints Row was announced all those years back for 3DS. Glad to finally see the series on a Nintendo platform.
@JaxonH For me Resident Evil 4 is still (since it's GameCube days) my absolute favorite Resident Evil game. I currently only have the PC version (since I sold my GameCube) and that one is absolutely unplayable with Keyboard and mouse and I dislike playing PC games with a controller.
Is this switch footage?
Man the switch has been missing a good open world gta-like. I'll be picking this up for sure.
I'm so hype for this!!
I liked 4 but the superpowers made it way too easy. 3 is much more balanced.
Did the Deluxe Edition ever get a release? Can't find it anywhere now and the link in this article just goes to the standard version.
