IDK man, i hate to be that guy but yesterday, I did download the SF6 in Switch 2 and man, the difference with other consoles is very noticeable (specially on hair texture which are Capcom's Achilles heel) IDK, Switch 2 seems so absent of the same MoJo its previous iteration have)
I'm jet to buy this game cuz, you know, silksong but it is definitely on the list of the ever growing backlog, im seriously thinking on taking a week from work to dig into that backlog of mine.
I'm starting to think Nintedomed is better than thrivingTendo, their pricing strategy almost makes me want them to do another WiiU, will buy this games for sure but at the used market so they see not a damn penny from me
Im just a few hours in so it's still too early for le to chime in, however it is expected given the genre, I just hope the patch is optional so anybody could enjoyed the game as they see fit.
Im pretty sure the marketing department asked legal if they could get away with it and their tough-guy-lawyer said: yeah, sure!! Costing them millions.
This could be confusing and frustrating if it wasn't funny, I just don't get it:
Entitled gamers hate game key carts because they "can't" own their games.
Same Entitled gamers say they want to have "options" like mig carts cuz, you know, "then I can have all my games in there" (then why don't you buy digital???) And when you ask them to make up their mind they throw you the good old excuse of game preservation (even thou theres lots of people that preserve games professionally) hahahaha, first world problems I guess
Aaah, an Ubisoft game I was not expecting to play but now will do for a couple of reasons: A) I like Starwars B) I like how cheap their games become as time passes C) The option to play it on the go is so tempting.
I could care less about the game format debacle, will buy this eventually on NS2
@Sebos what issue with game preservation are you talking about? I keep reading that as an excuse to "get with the times." (not saying you are one of those people) you can find literally any game you'd want on the internet (ISO, Rom or otherwise)
My only grip with this issue is storage space, if the vast majority of releases were going to bee digital or disguised digital (AKA game key cart) Nintendo should have launch the console with at least 2tb model variant. Hopefully they'll fix this with the inevitable revision down the line but who am I trying to fool, it's Nintendo with whom we are dealing with here.
Imagine investing 400 dollars to play 1 donkey kong game and some Kirby DLC (even thlu a fun game, if you have played one Mario Kart game you have played them all) It infuriates me that Nintendo has been siting on Metroid Prime for well over a year, release the game already!! (All other games you can play on existing consoles/switch one)
This one's great, the fact that you can dock your Switch without the need to removed it seals the deal for me, plus, the build quality is very good as well.
@DTfearTheBEARD I was on the fence with that brand since I didn't knew anything about it, it seem to just appear out of nothing. So, it is a Wal-Mart brand uh?
Going to Chanel my iner kranky kong, back then frame drops were even part of the gameplay experience (megaman, ninja gaiden, bomberman, etc) I get that for some people, frame drops can alter the immersion experience but, back then....
I'd play the first 4 or 5 hours or so, didn't gel with me at all, didn't like to play as Zelda and the echoes mechanic was very tiresome to me for some reason, trying to find the right echoe to summon never felt right (almost as tiresome as to find the right item in ToTK) my kids did like the game and finished so no money wasted.
I have no complaints, wish it had a better launch line up but still, pretty much what was expected given It basically launched with 1 game, (all the others stuff was already available on other platforms) and that is something only nintendo can get away with. Bananza looks like odyssey 2.0 so until Metroid drops, it will be an expensive way of playing my backlog.
@Slideaway1983 yes, is right there in the user terms of agreement.
But please don't let me (or anyone for thst matter) prevent you for using your MIG cartridge on your console, no need to let me know how that works for you.
@Misima Hello fellow gamer, I don't think its unfair, I just think the other user (to whom I did replied is using logic to justify things the wrong way) If you happen to have a falty product and end up losing your property, that is unfortunate and im sorry (it has happened to me too so, I feel you mate) having someone braking your car's window and taking stuff away, that is a crime, (it has happen to me too) but you don't see me buying a pirate Samsung tablet or a pirate HP laptop just so I can left my originals at home so they don't get stole or I'd lose em.
This isn't legit by any means (if you are talking about the MIG cart) it is not an official product made by Nintendo, it just seems you are trying to use logic to justify laziness.
Buy a case (to store your games when out of your house) and lern how to take care of things (so you dont lose your cartridges)
@MTMike87 Even thou you make a more than reasonable arguments on your post, I don't know if I fully agreed with you. I mean, Im on the older side of things (have 2 kids and reaching 40 years old) and I do test stuff if buying 2 hand. (Assuming this is a generational thing) Iphones are the some of the most (if not the most) popular phones on the market, I sure anybody who's going to buy a second hand Iphone know it has to be clean from any account.
People have learned to not buy a 2 hand Iphone that as already an Apple account associated with the divice (most of the times those are stolen phones) I guess if what you said is true, people will have to learn that With Nintendo products going forward.
Im sorry but im with Nintendo this time, (no "I paid for it so I can do whatever I want with it" BS) and for those going for a second hand Switch, you should do two things before buying:
●If you are in a public place, share internet with your phone so you can check it is not banned from online services.
●Buy only a system that has been factory restored and has no Nintendo account attached (and run the already mentioned test)
Well, it did not came as a Big surprise, when I first saw the game I get the oddisey vibe to the point i did considered this just a skin of that game, however koizumi is yet to let me down so fingers crossed
@Jeronan got it, thank you for the reply. I read somewhere that Nintendo used 2 screen suppliers and that on one of the screens this issue is more noticeable, maybe thats the reason it is more evident for some players, IDK, mine's look fine to me (but i have played just a few hours undocked)
I only have played a couple of hours MKW and Metroid Dread for a couple hours and enjoy my playtime just fine, however i have a question for the geeky guys, can this thing be solved via some firmware update?
Ny reasons for this are as follow: ●I did only buy MKW since is the only game not available in other platforms
●Will hold back on buying more games just because the Investment of a new game console ● will sell my copies of SF6 and Cyberpunk before buying the games again
●Game key cards and the prices of the SD express are holding me from buying new digital games
As the saying goes "play stupid games, win stupid prices" what they were thinking? That they could get away with this? Guess they found out the hard way
