Re: Hardware Classics: Sega Mega CD

It was a decent system but never fully utilized. For every great game you had 5 poopy full motion video titles. Sega never truly got 100% behind it but at least it had better support than 32X, what a waste of money that was for me.

Re: Talking Point: The New Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Network and Wii U Could Point the Way for Future Hardware

If you look at the big picture, nobody & I mean nobody puts out so many games on two platforms & delivers the kind of quality that Nintendo does. The company has plenty of faults for sure but I give them tremendous credit for basically supporting 2 platforms almost by themselves. It's pretty remarkable in this day & age but we know it's not sustainable.
I think some kind of hybrid device is their best bet going forward. Either a home console that plays their handheld games with ease or if they support 2 platforms then it will be something where porting either systems games will be a fairly simple porting process, preferably with a cross buy feature.

Re: Fry's Electronics Cancels Some New Nintendo 3DS Majora's Mask System Pre-Orders Due to Excessive Demand

Dreamcaster-X

I'm sure some of this is Nintendo's fault but I also think alot of these shortages are due to the damn scalpers who have systems in place where they end up with tons of systems & figures on launch day and what's even worse is the people who buy them at these inflated prices but they know Nintendo has some crazy diehard fans & they prey upon them.

Nintendo could just remedy the situation however by releasing more of them but then again they're the masters of creating hype through shortages.

@potatomage7 Well you're hurting the animal if you're seeing blood but this isn't like an MMO where it spews damage numbers out, it's much more subtle. The monsters will start limping when they're really hurt & that's when you know you're making progress.

I don't think demos do justice to this game. You really have to spend a few hours with the game to get accustomed to the controls & requirements of hunting/gathering to get the whole picture. Just throwing newcomers into random battles with leveled up characters is not the best way to win them over.

If you like questing & grinding, you may really enjoy this but there is a learning curve those first couple of hours but the Miiverse community is a BIG help if you need tips and having that right at the push of a button is a huge bonus.

Code Name, S.T.E.A.M. looks fantastic!! I'm so glad Nintendo is investing into new IP's and to people complaining about no games, do you own any other console? I'm still backlogged on 2014 3DS games because there's just simply not enough time to play all the good games that do come out on all the platforms.

Re: Talking Point: Super Smash Bros. and amiibo Have Enjoyed Success, But Nintendo Could Have Done More

Dreamcaster-X

The vagueness of their marketing team is intentional. Nintendo lit a fire under the consumers ass to not wait and to get their Amiibo's ASAP & it's working. Before all this talk of discontinuation I could walk into a store and grab pretty much any Amiibo I wanted & now it's bare bones at most stores or they have 20 Marios & nothing else. Preorders are also sold out in almost every single upcoming figure in the US. Nintendo knows exactly what it is doing.
