@GannonBanned It is kind of odd that a lack of realism in this particular department is some huge problem to you, in games that are far removed from being realistic in first place

Like me saying I hate games or movies having plot armour, why not kill everyone in the first 5 minutes?! A characters design in a video game doesnt need to be realistic, nor should artists have to worry about public opinion of their art

@Dethmunk I have 27" 1440p monitor for my pc and switch at my desktop, things like DKC topical freeze look great at 1080p, games like yoshi crafted world I wish had 1080p

I agree unless you have at LEAST 32" and sat quite far back not going to have much benefit, I think 1440p is sweet spot imo

Makes me laugh when people go on about 8k, 8k is pointless unless one had a massively big tv and was sat really far back

@vatrafetru I dont think it's all that crazy, MK has been pretty consistent with its releases and with modern MK having online mp keeps people coming back

@Clyde_Radcliffe the original isnt too bad if you can get it on sale, the sequel is 2.5D and more like DKC where as original is a 3D plat and more like banjo kazooie

The original is still worth a shot imo, it's not as good as banjo kazooie but still worth a play if you can get it on a good sale

@NathanTheAsian You should 100% research it, a port and emulating specific hardware are two different things entirely.

Infact maybe you should go look at what type of CPU you need to run ps3 games on PC since you mentioned ps3 games as well

@fafonio software physically needs hardware to run, please explain to me how you run software without hardware, you are wrong, emulators DO use your hardwares resources

Secondly, you said 360 games, not rare replay which uses Microsoft's own emulator specifically made for Xbox One, not Nintendo Switch.

@fafonio considering you need a pretty beefy pc to even emulate 360 on pc, no, a switch can't emulate 360 games

You dont seem to understand that emulators have extra overhead from pretending to be a console it isn't

@sanderev Yeah, because Nintendo certainly don't expect us to buy proprietary hardware to play their games

@RazumikhinPG eh guess I'm just not a fan of the term, it's like if I look at crts on ebay some advertise them as "retro gaming tv" with inflated prices, sometimes feels more like a marketing word above all else

same time I dont play many new games probably spend more time playing older games but wouldn't say I'm a "retro gamer" I just play the games I like

It's very cool idea to see implemented, not something that I think I'd ever pick up (I'll wait for mk9) but makes me wish I had this when I was a kid

@TheWingedAvenger it was made in two weeks and Segas higher ups kept demanding changes, for example the combat they only had ONE day to work on

It being axed has nothing to do with the devs being to blame, only segas management and bosses

@Zuljaras doesnt the switch use a big blob of compound over regular thermal paste? I ask because in future I too planned on opening up my switch, cleaning it out and applying new thermal paste but it looks different in switch to your regular thermal paste to me

It's like yeah, upscaling from 1080p isnt going to look that bad, but upscale from 720p? oh boy, yoshi crafted world looked blurry as hell on my 1440p monitor due to it being 720p which isnt even fullHD

Some of these comments are so face palm worthy, particularly the one that said they find such a thing as TOO sharp

I'd start going on about pixel density and how 1440p is perfect at 27inch and 4k at 32inch and the huge difference things like these make but it would be a waste of time wouldn't it?

@SmileMan64 thing is starting out doing rom hacks can be a good learning experience before going on to do your own stuff

@Inc yeah unfortunately if the companies dont think theyll make a return on a game, or even worse make a loss they wont risk it.

This is why I love how big indie scene and smaller budget is these days, the bigger AAA titles dont dare take a risk due to not wanting to risk all that money on a niche game that doesnt have mass appeal

It's why that persons comment irked me, it's as if the person implies only things that are popular with the masses are good

Companies sometimes dont help themselves though, like the new Earthworm Jim is going to be exclusive to that new intellivision console, or when we finally got a new Super Monkey Ball and it ended up being banana blitz -_-

Even commander keen is coming back to gaming but the new game looks awful

This sort of mentality is why so many old but great series lie dormant, and I'm damn glad we got Luigis mansion 3 btw that game is great

Games running on the series X are going to look better then say xbox one S, games will also include SETTINGS (some xbox one games already have settings) similair to that on PC
