Doubt it'll come out this year they're already quite busy with several other big titles like MP4 and BOTW2

I'm worried for future of MK and Smash at this point as I don't know what they could do for either series and I worry they'll turn both games into live service games, which I guess they already did with that MK mobile phone game

MK9 I'd love to see a sp mode with hub worlds and boss fights on every hub

I'm pretty skeptical too we've not even seen gameplay yet but least they're trying something new the 3d sonic games never did seem as appealing to me aside from a couple of them

Not into zelda just assumed botw was open world with dungeons didn't know there was meant to be something unquie about its particular gameplay style? Can team sonic replicate the same good experience though? Eh I do have my doubts tbf but I think the lead to the project was the lead for colours as well so

@Anti-Matter Shame, as I never got around to trying it and have alot of nostalgia for the gameboy game, can still remember getting the gameboy game at toys r us as a kid

@WiltonRoots Personally I like the N64, still have mine hooked up to a crt and loose carts are still somewhat affordable unless it's conker or something

The only thing that appealed to me with the sub was the idea of online mp but even that isn't up to snuff. I'll wait for them to patch things (if they ever do) while early adopters carry on being ripped off

The wii VC console had better emulation as did that zelda game on game cube, the wii u had worse emulation and now the switch has worse emulation then that

Over the past 10 years their emulation has be getting worse, they use to tailor the emulator per-game they're now trying to do a "one size fits all" ordeal hence the issues in the first place

It's lazy. And that's not opinion.

This whole cloud gaming thing always sounded so unappealing, just one more way to take ownership away and turn gaming into netflix style streaming service crap

You have issues with people saying ANYTHING bad about nintendo, let's be honest here.

If anything it is you here who is angry, because there's plenty of people out there criticising objectively bad decisions from nintendo WITHOUT having to insult others.

Yes not even being able to invite friends really baffled me first time I got switch online, first time I used online mp on a console since the xbox 360 days and I just sort of assumed it would be there

@Snoober Yeah I mean they make great 1st party titles that I enjoy but they're lacking in alot of key areas in this day and age of technology

Last console I had was 360, always been into pc as well as consoles but xbox one and ps4 were just pcs basically and physical games were dying on console , always had console and pc but ended up going full pc

I can accept the price for the basic sub, sadly never got to experience wii online since last nintendo console I owned was n64 but seems to me even that had better functionality then switch online

The only thing that got my into this system was its traditional console feel, collecting my game cards and playing some fun 1st party titles but lately I play things like cruisn blast and great game aside it looks to me like it's smeared in vasoline, and I see quite bad fps drops

All I want is 1080p standard docked, 720p handheld, 30fps and 60fps on games that would benefit, decent online functionality, and physical medium to collect.

I worry for games like metroid prime 4 tbh with the hardware they're having to develop on

@daichi42 late reply but I meant more just in terms of preservation sake, so I'd always have to download that update to be able to finish the game

More of a nit pick then anything I mainly play pc but like switch for it feeling like a more traditional console with prioperity hardware like the game cards opposed to just generic blue rays or dvds

Don't know how much their services are but it's not far off what Nintendo are charging for the "expansion"

All I know is I paid £1 once for gamepass on pc and played through gears 5 campaign and some sea of thieves for a month straight, had a fun time!

Games like Smash Bros still using P2P is annoying as well, especially for a fighting game having ACTUAL dedicated servers would be pretty nice you'd think?

I think it's quite bad how the ethernet port on oled is so bad as well, not that I was going to get one but the Internet speeds on Switch are so capped and slow it's like wtaf

@Bizzyb Or maybe more the fact its not even in parity with community made emulators, or even SM64 in 3D all-stars (nintendos OWN game on switch) and is just a flat out lazy cash grab?

All we ever get on this site, it's like when people say they never see the frame rate drops in games, I suppose the capped speeds on the ethernet port for the oled model is just great too huh? Give it a rest.

Still a weird choice though given how many choices people have to play mega drive and in a legit fashion! Master System, Saturn, Dreamcast.. any of those would of been better.

Shame nintendo would never just release complimation cartridges would love physical collection of classic nes games snes games ect.. one of the main appeals of my switch to me is the console sells physical medium with the full game on the game card, I'm very selective with what games I buy for my switch (mostly 1st party ninty games), always try to make sure it's FULL game on the cartridge and I just adore my physical collection tbh.. this whole subscription crap to play old games is just depressing but with the lower tier service I thought it as just an added bonus to my sub

@ChromaticDracula emulation is ALWAYS going to have I put lag compared to OG hardware, as well as playing on lcd screen which also adds input lag

OG hardware on a CRT still best way to experience N64 games, and then PC n64 emulation and the wii VC being 2nd best way to play.. where as this seems the worse way to experience these games

Especially mega drive which has endless complications and mini consoles. If the high price for the subscription is due to licensing fees to Sega then why did Nintendo do that in the first place?! Opposed to giving us gameboy games or something. Really baffles me why they did that.

Voted for 6 hours or under, I'd typically expect 8 hours average for a game

My physical copy sits still unopened as I play through the old games, finished zero mission and currently on super metroid

Still need to play through re village, love resi evil but there's just so many games and too little time

Pfft, don't play animal crossing and it's quite an added cost just to play mega drive and n64 especially when I have both original consoles hooked up to a crt and ready to go!

I ended up buying the LRG for switch even though its expensive, been playing the remaster on my pc while I wait for my physical

It's cool as all hell that console version now has kb/m support especially since it has crossplay with pc

Certainly has a nice premium look to it but I'll be waiting until their next switch model

I'd be tempted to keep my copy of metroid dread sealed and play it on my pc but tbf I'd rather have the lower res and framerate of native hardware and know there's no emulation bugs.. least for my 1st plqythrough anyway

As someone who isn't into anime or jrpg I've found the dlc fighters underwhelming but thankfully the base roaster has plenty to choose from

I hope the last character will be a nintendo character and not another random one I don't know

@MrGawain Sounds like it could do with cleaning out, not sure how easy a switch is to open up and clean but worth looking into

GB and GBC games just makes logical sense to me the switch already gives me some nostalgia vibes with remakes like pokemon let's go and links awakening

The kirby announcement and n64 were pretty cool not mich else for me to see here, would love a starfox announcement of some kind

Do these controllers Ninte do always release work on other things like PC?

It'll be tempting to get one of the wireless n64 controllers if that's the case

This is pretty damn cool, I'd still love a nice physical copy of rare replay for switch though

@Araquanid sounds like I should play other M as well as fusion to get the best experience from dread then? I want to be able to play dread and appreciate it the same way long time hard-core fans of metroid can, I've always enjoyed metroid games when I played them but never got far in any of them and never got invested

Don't know how some people felt disappointed tbh even I can feel the hype for this one, even if I don't finish through all the previous games before it comes out I don't mind having dread sat on my shelf while I play through previous entries I'm very patient had cruisn blast sat around untouched for a week or so now 🤣

@Miyamotosan I don't have a wii u or gba sadly, is fusion the remake of Metroid? Might have to emulate it was planning on playing og over fusion cus I have a nes mini and nice excuse to load it up, also think it's on NSO and I have a sub

GBA would be great on Switch along with other gameboy games, gameboy was my first ever ninte do device and switch sometimes makes me very nostalgic when playing remakes of old gb games

I hope we get prime trilogy on switch as well want to play through that before MP4 comes out

Looking forward to this it will be the only metroid game I've played aside from one i played on gameboy as a kid

@Justaguest thanks for the heads up, love crash more so then mario it's what I grew up with more then mario

been playing crash bash with a friend recently and he quite likes it especially the pinball style mode, friends I've shown in the past have always liked it too

Not all the mini games in crash bash were good but it's one of those games that I'd love to see remade if they can revise some of the mechanics that flawed the original

@russell-marlow Same time it feels daunting to think I'd have to collect everything all over again still got tons of stuff locked on ctr on my switch but they can sod off if they think I'm spending a penny on MT's I mostly stick with og kart and stuff anyway out of nostalgia

If it comes to pc won't be steam tho, Crash 4 was blizzard store and has online drm.

@Brink though I wonder what they could even do if they made a new Crash, feels like Crash 4 done it all already lol especially with the ungodly amount of extras in Crash 4, still haven't 100% it yet
