This sucks I love having few quick rounds when I get back home from work

Look at what happened with the NES mini, the initial launch some ended up spending silly money on what is a very simple single board computer inside a fancy plastic shell, thankfully they made sure there was plenty to go around with the snes mini launch

People have no common sense and buy stuff off scalpers that are being insanely over charged for

Same thing happened when "retro" gaming came hip and cool, now it's expensive to buy old games and old consoles lol

@fox_mattcloud if you knew previous ideas of theres were baffling and idiotic why the hell did you defend them?!

People being biased with their feedback is what lowers the standards of gaming in the first place.

Some of these people if not most will just be regular buyers before the end date, though theres definitely going to be plenty of scalpers.

Glad its 1080p, 720p looks really blurry on my 1440p monitor but it'll look fantastic at 1080p

Crazy Taxi has had rereleases before like on x360 and ps3, and Sega even has virtua racing as a switch exclusive, so why not have more?

Though it probably wouldn't have offspring or a lot if any of the old music, or advertising, but if it's still crazy taxi it's still worth it

Fond memories of my mate telling me about how to really play, using accelerate break and hand break or whatever to boost, crazy taxi had a lot of depth to its mechanics then it first looks

Infact I've been tempted to pick up either sword, or shield.. assuming they offer a better challenge then let's go does

I'm one of those that never kept following pokemon after 1st gen, and never played the games outside the ones on gameboy and pokemon stadium on the 64.

So with that and the fact a lot of people on here trash sword & shield as a pretty mediocre pokemon game I'm still unsure if it's worth me buying

@ImagineerNik I did too especially as a remake and I didnt mind that we captured pokemon instead of battle them

The only thing I find disappointing is how mind numbingly easy it is, I find myself just not really putting any thought into what moves I use

Could of used a harder mode, unless it does as I've not even completed it yet tho I am nearing the end, just kinda got burnt out before finishing it

@Forral Yes having things like gamecube controllers and games work on the Wii for instance, was very nice.

Things like that seem a thing of the past these days though, the ports they're making for switch are being charged like £40-£50 which is a lot for re-release titles

@SakuraHaruka That doesnt make sense, because eventually the switch will stop being made and its games

It's not like people who play on the NES for example get to play it in their "platform of choice"

Also other platforms let you carry your games over to the new systems, it's not an unusual concept except for nintendo

It's like do people who bought all those old nes, smes, n64 games ect on their wii u get to play them on their switch? They dont and seems even more ridiculous considering they're digital titles

@Trajan I'm largely the same, fighting games online is full of people that just practise with same fighter over and over, I'm more casual play style and cant beat local play with a friend and a few beers

Though my friend sucks at FG so it's kinda boring sometimes being so easy

That's why when playing FG online I like to try and find online friends to play with rather then randoms

Nice to see 1943 back to midway is free, cant beat a classic shoot em up

@Trajan I just wonder if the netcode is any better, or is there a way to see ping? I cant even remember but last I recall my friend had to wait until after a game, to kick the lagger and that's if he could even identify which person was lagging the game out

Using motion controller as a club sounds interesting, theres this vr mini golf game I play on my occulus rift and feels great using the controller

I hope we get another mario party though to make up for the last one that I've heard isnt very good

@ModdedInkling hot-swapping does not mean switching between simply two weapons, it's not a hard concept to grasp that a keyboard has many buttons meaning can switch to any weapon in an instant

Maybe you need to read because I called the DE port fantastic, and the only time I mentioned performance was when someone called switch version "superior"

The pc version IS the best way to experience the game, theres nothing wrong with the switch version and never said there was

Really enjoyed part 1 DLC, except for that last boss

I like the dlc picks up where it left off opposed to this slow long build up

@lordzand I pointed out the pc version I prefer as I can hot-swap weapons, I never, not once, called anything superior.

Someone then got upset and said switch is """"superior"""" (THEIR words) because of motion controls.

It doesnt effect me, but its certainly affecting you.

@boxyguy If they do a new BK and did it right would be great, I feel they should do a switch release as well instead of making it an exclusive title, same with the new PD really I feel, they're ips that should be on a nintendo system

I read article years ago and recall a big reason a lot of the original rareware devs leaving after transition to microsoft was because they werent just left to get on with the game, nintendo were a lot more relaxed and wouldn't butt-in on the actual game development process of it too much but Microsoft were rather different

It's why I think playtonic formed as they like that independency but you do still wonder what would of happened had they stayed with nintendo

@Peteykins Funny enough, people do collect magazines, I still hang onto a lot of my old mags though they're mostly nuts or guitar magazines not got any of my old gaming mags

@Dringo Yeah I played sea of thieves about a year ago, is a really fun game (love the banjo ship design speaking of)

To me perfect dark is still the best game they've ever done, but sea of thieves is pretty fun too

They're working on a new perfect dark atm, I hope it turns out good

@andyg1412 Ya I got VR when it first came out, absolutely brilliant port!

I tend to play VR on my pc a lot so I can use my wheel but VR on switch is great for on the go arcade goodness

Sega need to release Daytona USA on switch, x360/ps3 had a port that like VR on switch is fantastic

@Paulo their were rumours awhile back that playtonic would be making the next BK, it was later debunked but it would be rather fitting to get the old crew back together to make a new BK

@ModdedInkling I have used gyro in FPS like turok and NO, it's nowhere near as accurate, being able to turn around quickly is not "accuracy"

Further more, theres no bindings, you cant hot-swap weapons very well when you're reliant on a weapon wheel

Saying doom eternal on switch is superior to PC is just delusional

Yeah cus you can switch to any weapon on the fly, right? Oh nope, still have to use weapon wheel, and no gyro is not as accurate as a mouse when u have ur arm floating around in the air

Always great to see so many community members getting salty over something they've never experienced, 1440p and 4k are like night and day compared to 1080p, and especially 720p

I said some of them are starting to struggle, then went on to specifically tell you it was with lylat wars, nearer to the end of the game when a level failed to load up.. that.was.it.

Apparently that means I abuse my games? Why? Because one game that played up a little bit? LOL, Like I said, I have a modest collection, and even I dont have the time to check ALL my old games and play from start to finish on a regular basis.

So it's a very bold claim for you, a collector, to make out you regularly play ALL your games from start to finish to feel confident they all work 100% as intended

Or maybe, the reality is you don't, because that would require a lot of time and effort especially for someone like you a collector. Something you were keen to point out but a collector cannot test EVERY game they own from start to finish on a regular basis.

All I said was old games and old consoles can fail, even cartridge based ones, what have you exposed exactly? Other then the fact you like to attack people aggressively when they point out things you dont like to hear? Not my fault if what I said led to you insulting me, that's on you. Grow up and learn how to have a civil discussion.
