@impurekind Ones like in the screen shot is when it goes into sleep mode, just leave the device running and it'll do it automatically

Also packaging is spot on, loved the little thank you under the sleeve when opening it, may not seem big deal to some but little touches like that is how you celebrate an anniversary

Just got home from work and about to give mine a go now

I'm 30, have no nostalgia for game & watch but do for the gameboy, so it's nice to have the precursor to the gameboy, or a modern re-release of the precursor anyway

I do think that just like mario 3D all stars they've over charged for what it is, and definitely should of included more games, would of liked to see more g&w games given I've never played one before

The lack of a kickstand is annoying, I want to see if I can justify using this as a digital clock on my desk and alarm

These re-releases have nothing on the 3rd party ports of old PC games I already own and played at higher resolution and framerate but it's a truly remarkable experience to pay £50 for a 720p 30fps switch port!!!!!

Nice to see Pikmin do well, not picked it up but will at one point, never played it myself so will be new experience

@StevenG Yeah even tho I bought one and have all these mini consoles, they are just single board computers, simple stuff, in a fancy shell

I'll play mine a few times on the odd occasion but mostly it'll just be proudly sitting on my shelf next to my mario 30th anni amiibo

@ChromaticDracula I'd love to see gameboy games on switch, or a remake of super mario land 2, gameboy was first nintendo device I ever had and playing switch in handheld sometimes evokes nostalgia for me even if it is a lot different to a gameboy

@Charinzardon The devs of the emulator wanted to charge a little more then what it cost for a nintendo subscription, yuzu wanted £5 a month iirc, official nintendo sub is £4 a month

They did this as nintendo would seriously wanna shut them down otherwise, especially if the emulators servers were better then nintendos

Control uses the companies own engine, as does witcher 3.. witcher 3 came out over 5 years ago, control came out last year, control also uses more advanced lighting techniques

@Slowdive I bought a driving force gt for my pc specifically to play arcade racers via emulation, some emulators like the sega model 3 emulator even let's you upscale resolution and widescreen hack, and force feedback of course

Playing things like scud race at native 1440p with widescreen and force feedback wheel in comfort of my own home is incredible ^_^

I'll be getting my sinden lightgun around december time and you bet I'll be playing lots of point blank, time crisis, virtua cop and house of the dead 2

I didnt spend much of my life in actual arcades and dont have much experience but damn I love arcade games

@BoostPower Sadly I feel that's a problem with the gaming industry in general these days, companies arent so quick to fund "out there" ideas and rather play it safe most of the time

Not tried sonic forces or team sonic racing but neither look particularly good especially compared to Sonic Generations and Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed

I think the internet helps with games like this, though I had never heard of it when I was a kid playing on my 64, I did however learn about this game through people on internet mentioning it

It's good to google things like "n64 hidden gems" and stuff to find less talked about games

Game Pass is pretty nice for playing latest titles but if assume on switch it also means using cloud streaming and not running on actual hardware, for switch owners like me I wouldn't do that when I can just use game pass on my pc and not use streaming

However Rare Replay? Yes please, the games on that should all be able to run on the switch?

Same time, if I compare how big the ps5 is compared to my PC tower.. it's not THAT big really

I mean yeah it's big but better then an overheating system, but that's also the nice thing about the switch, Nintendo not focusing on having high end power means having a more compact system

@Yellow Havent had a console since my xbox 360, well apart from my switch of course but my nintendo switch compliments PC very well, my smash edition switch looks great sat on my desk and barely takes up much room

Always liked both pc and console my entire gaming life but these days I see little reason to get consoles as they're basically just pc these days, tho the new ps5 and series x look interesting not gonna lie

Always been wanting to try this since I have an RTX card for my pc, cloud/streaming I tend to avoid though, tried psnow once and didnt like it
