Re: Random: Japanese Celebs Reportedly Told "Not To Mention" Palworld To Avoid Damaging Pokémon Relations

Digitamamon64

@RavenDuroi the funny thing is the fact that you're right. Plaworld is an early access game that is unfinished and uninspired. The reason why people are using it though... is because it's somehow refreshing. This melting pot of ideas somehow becomes its own thing. It also helps that the game is only 30 bucks, they aren't stingy and released 2 different versions for no other reason than greed, and it doesn't run at 10 FPS. The fact that people are calling out Scarlet and Violet because an early access game is more enjoyable AND runs better is actually laughable and shows how bad scarlet and violet are. This is coming from someone who actually played scarlet for 40 hours or so too. Calling a game complete with such serious performance issues doesn't feel right to me. There was clearly more work to be done.

Re: Pokémon Fans Set Their Sights On Palworld's Monster Designs

Digitamamon64

Bought it this morning! Can't wait to play it. I love the defensiveness of some Pokemon fans here. Acting like it's completely original and created the monster-taming genre when in fact, it didn't. I really love how some are calling this a scam and are saying that Scarlett and violet are complete games. Yea, complete games that are full of bugs and glitches and run at 10FPS. Did I mention that they are a full $60 and there's expensive DLC that also runs like trash? Some people are funny

Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo Console Has The Best First-Party Games Lineup?

Digitamamon64

64 and Gamecube are fighting for 1st for me. Switch and Snes are fighting for 3rd.
It felt like the Nintendo 64 was made for me. Being a 3D platformer nut (Mario 64, both Banjos, hell, even middling ones like Toy Story 2 are fun to me) to action games (both Zeldas) to multiplayer madness (3 Mario parties, smash bros, Goldeneye) this was a time that I felt excited for every single Nintendo release. Can't say that nowadays

@RubyCarbuncle
Just curious, why do you think that death is poorly implemented in Digimon World 1? Once you get your tamer level up a bit new born Digimon start out with decent stats. You can also use items like the training manual, super carrot, and hawk radish to get Stats up quickly

Re: Mario Strikers: Battle League Second Free Update Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@meleehunter @steventonysmith
I obviously can't speak for everyone, but there are 3 main reasons why I already don't play this anymore and why my brother and I still got back to Charged. Just played it this month actually...
1.) Challenges: these are fun side things to do that add a couple of hours to the game. Some of them, Like Yoshis or Diddy Kongs, require the player to actually be really good at the game and get a lot of goals in a short time. Others like Bowsers require a shutout, which is very fun as long as one doesnt goalie hang. Even after playing it for all these years, these still provide a decent challenge and we still fail them a couple of times when we start up a new save. These give the game a breath of fresh air, something that Battle Leauge lacks.
2. The characters feel widely different in Charged. It's not just stats like Battle League. We like to run the Striker Cup a lot with Yoshi, but recently we've been running it with characters like Petey Pirhana and Waluigi. Between different captain specials like slinging mud, putting up vines, or rolling around in an egg, and how they hit and deke, they feel completely different. That's not even accounting for their different stats too. The eight sidekicks apply too, each with their own skillshots, dekes and hitting abilities. Imo it's so much more fun to mix 'n match in Charged. Especially with Armor, which I think is a good feature BTW, the characters blend fast. Speaking of striker cup, I liked it much more than the cup battles because of little things like the messages of how the team is doing. Not to mention that there are stages and cards that can be unlocked in the Hall of Fame that unlock cheat codes by getting the golden foot and doing challenges. In Battle Leauge there is armor to unlock and nothing else. Nothing to really go for.
3. Stages that actually feel different
Some may not like gimmicky stages, and I get that. For Mario Sports though? Gimme the gimmicks! I'll play Fifa if I want hardcore competitive stuff. I like stages where lightning drops down, fire fills the field, Thwomps come from the sky, characters can fall off due to the storm on Thunder Island... it helps keep the game fresh. I like it when things are ever changing in my games. That may be the biggest problem with Battle Leauge. Once I played 3 or 4 matches... I saw all the characters, I saw all of the stages, there's not much there.
Sorry for the wall of text but I'm just annoyed by people saying "Charged didn't have more content, quit crying" even though it's objectively false. Less characters, less stages, less items, no challenges... it's weaker nearly everywhere imo. I'm happy they removed Megastrikes though, those can be annoying when the Wiimote gives out. You guys can like Battle Leauge, but stop writing off opinions of those that like Charged more. There's a reason why Charged is my favorite Mario Sports game, and some others agree with me.

Re: Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Remakes Claim 3rd In November NPD Chart

Digitamamon64

@MajorTom hard agree with what you're saying. For some reason, a lot of people here bash annual franchises like COD, sports games and Battlefield saying they don't deserve the sales and people just buy them because they're popular... But Pokemon completely deserves all of its sales. Why? Pokemon is also an annual release franchise at this point that is coasting off of its name.

@SlowPokemon
Same, I loved Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Might've been my favorite game of the year even thought it's just a port. Thats how much I loved it. Really hope we get Pikmin 4 soon!
@TheLightSpirit I also like Pikmin more than Ori. There, now you've seen 2 people who think that
