Re: Is The Original Super Monkey Ball Announcer Teasing A New Game?

Well I remember a couple of years ago when Sega said they were bringing back more of their older franchises. Now we've seen Streets of Rage, Panzer Dragoon and with a remake of the original Alex Kidd just announced, I'm really not the surprised they would bring Super Monkey Ball back. It's a fan favorite and we haven't seen a new game in the series since the Wii so it's time, really. I think the Dragon's Trap remake was a starting block for this return to form for Sega.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo Switch Online Took A Step Forward In 2019, But It's Not There Yet

I like the cloud saves. Having hundred of hours of Zelda, Skyrim, The Witcher and other games backed up is a sigh of relief. The NES and SNES games are great. That being said, native voice chat is a no-brainer and I don't understand why it wasn't implemented from the beginning. The online is laggy in some games and could use a boost and thirdly, Nintendo should really consider some type of Gamepass for at least their first-party games. I don't expect brand new titles or anything but 6 month to a year old titles would be a nice boost. I would gladly pay a higher fee for monthly access to a couple of big budget games. As for now, at $20 the value for a year of Nintendo Switch Online is pretty fair. In the future, I hope to see more though.

Re: Soapbox: Professor Layton And The Psychology Of Puzzle Solving

Clearly my name and pic say it all but yeah, the Layton games were a transformative experience for me. The same way Zelda and Mega Man effected me on the NES. The same way Mario64 took my life by storm. The same way I played Resident Evil 1 through 4 roughly 10 times each as they launched. The DS and Professor Layton will forever be one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in gaming. Great write up.
