I saw the trailer for this recently. It kinda reminds me of some of the platformers from the PSOne through PS2 and Gamecube eras. I think it looks great for kids.
Put down that White Wine Spritzer Gabe Newell. No celebrating just yet. This is like the Switch Lites having drift. At least Joy-Cons are modular and can be replaced.
@nocdaes I would say that in indivduation this game has some features that trump the aforementioned, but as an overall cohesive package, BOTW beats this game out as a graphical showcase.
The only 2 on the list that really slap are Live Alive and the Game Gear Shining Force. Just emulate all the Game Gear games you want to play and play the Live Alive remake this Summer.
@Troll_Decimator No. There was much discussion about it when it released. It's a known thing.https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/183128-the-legend-of-zelda-twilight-princess-hd/73391102 https://www.bing.com/videos/search?view=detail&mid=266D95A9330037814B2F266D95A9330037814B2F&q=twilight princess hd issues&shtp=GetUrl&shid=f7fa2539-a4e7-49d9-9f0f-eb01aecd68f2&shtk=RXZlcnl0aGluZyBXcm9uZyBXaXRoIFRoZSBMZWdlbmQgb2YgWmVsZGEgVHdpbGlnaHQgUHJpbmNlc3MgSEQ%3D&shdk=VHdpbGlnaHQgUHJpbmNlc3MgaXMgbXkgcGljIGZvciB0aGUgYmVzdCBnYW1lIGluIHRoZSBaZWxkYSBmcmFuY2hpc2UhIEJ1dCBldmVuIEkgd29u4oCZdCBkZW55IHRoYXQgaXQgaGFzIHNvbWUgcHJvYmxlbXMuIE5leHQgRXZlcnl0aGluZyBXcm9uZyBXaXRoIHZpZGVvOiBTb21ldGhpbmcgZnJvbSBhIGZyYW5jaHNpZSBJIGhhdmVuJ3Qgc2lubmVkIGluIGEgd2hpbGU%3D&shhk=nQ6F3fa8pCqW4hqpMtOS3jqD6lZe5vySCP57nIusUvo%3D&form=VDSHOT&shth=OVP.lUS_Kx9XBddHIxOucpFi_gEsDh
@Troll_Decimator It has alot of frame rate issues and weird texture glitches. They could have dropped a single patch for the game that fixed them. It's not a terrible port but when you compare it to the Windwaker HD remaster, it's not up to par.
I look at terrible remaster/remakes like XIII and the first Secret of Mana and I wonder why, when a studio like Nightdive comes along, do publishers not trust them. Grezzo did a meh job with TPHD and Link's Awakening was just ok so, why not trust a dev with a better track record than them.
Edit: Tantalus did TPHD.
I'm playing Dream Drop Distance on 3DS for the first time. It's good but not great. The combat is often cheap and you die needlessly at times. Plus the camera controls leave something to be desired. I wish I could just zoom out a bit. The camera often follows to close for my liking.
That's cool and all but why do Chip and Dale sound so terrible. I get it's voice actors real voices but their high-pitched voices is part of what makes them. This seems like another quick "woke" reimagining. Whatever I guess. Edit: Opinions are just that people. Don't let a word trigger you so deftly. You lend the Sigma grindset too much credibility.
Mario Strikers and Xenoblade 3 were the ones that really amped me up. I was already sold on Kirby. Switch Sports, Live Alive, Advance Wars and the Assassin's Creed Collection are maybes, after I either see more or there is a future sale. I was really hoping for Windwaker and Twilight Princess HD and the rumored Metroid Prime remake. Hopefully those still happen in the future.
My question is, if I decide to upgrade to the expansion pass, does my year of Switch Online renew from the upgrade date or does it still only last the period of time I renewed the base service from. So I renew every September. If I upgrade in August does that mean I only get the upgrade for a month and have to repay again in September or will I have a new Switch Online renewal date beginning every August?
It's really a nominal fee for the amount of tracks being distributed, in the long run. Just pay the $25 or regional equivalent and enjoy new tracks for the next 2 years.
@IronMan30 Thank you for service brother. Sincerely. I personally, after playing both, like Beginnings a bit more than Earthbound. I don't know if it's the feeling of playing something special that I "shouldn't" be able to play or if it's that the game is actually better. I feel the same way about TMNT 3 on Nes and Mighty Final Fight. It's like I should like Turtles in Time and Final Fight 2/Streets of Rage 2 more but, I prefer the former. Same with Doom Eternal on Switch versus playing it on the more powerful console.
@kobashi100 Fair enough. I completely understand that sentiment. I am happy for anyone who has a modern ability to play a game they love. I still get tickled pink over 2D Zelda remasters. Lol Cheers brother!
I think this should be the direction for "New" Pokemon games heading forward. There are plenty of remakes to be done that could still fall into the "traditional" Pokemon game mold. I just hope they are done in the style of Sword and Shield or Sun and Moon and not the Chibi artstyle we were desecrated with from the Diamond and Pearl remakes. Those games maybe fun but they're so painful to look at that I will never know.
It's great that Portal is coming to the Switch but honestly, I didn't find it all that exciting. It's a fairly old game at this point and although I'm sure there are those out there that are excited about it and it may even be their favorite game, I feel like anyone who has really wanted to play it probably has on a different platform already.
@Synecdoche Just hop on Amazon. They should have some. Edit: I see what you mean. The physical edition is $80-$90 now and non existent in Gamestops case. If you have any brick and mortar stores near you like a Disc Replay or The Exchange, I would try those.
I think they should take 4 or 5 different COD campaigns, bundle them together and release that on the Switch. Then make a multiplayer only COD for Switch with the best levels from those games. Give options to those with no interest with the other.
@CharlieGirl "and all I really want's 1-2 Switch 2 and Mario Kart that's new, played MK8 starting years ago and more tracks are overduuue" -Bin Glossoms
I voted Mario Kart 9 for my most anticipated "rumor" but if there really is a Professor Layton collection on the horizon I will giggle myself silly like a small child when it's announced.
Ok so I knew there was a River City Girls game a couple of years back and I believe it's getting a sequel but I didn't realize that there was a classic Snes game from 94 and I'm fairly well versed in the Kunio-Kun games. At least I thought I was. I recommend KidShoryuken on Youtube to anyone looking for a Japanese gaming fix. He lives in Tokyo and spends alot of time in Akiba and Hard-Off adventuring for good game deals. Plenty of time in Super Potato and Savers as well.
I don't know that Rune Factory is a series that could change or innovate very much and still maintain its personality. There's certain boxes that have to be checked and if they're not then I believe the game would become a different experience altogether. The series has certainly evolved over time and this is the first entry to be fully 3rd person. Frontiers was a fantastic game on the Wii and all of the games in the series since then have been solid. I do hope, however, that the performance issues the game appears to be suffering from can be ironed out before release.
I put in over 90 hrs by May last year which was only 2 mos. after the game released. I put it down and moved on to other games. I just now picked it back up and am getting ready for Sunbreak this Summer. This game is so fun but you can get burned out on it if you do too much too quickly.

Re: 'Agent Intercept' Brings Bond-Style Transforming Supercar Carnage To Switch Soon
Looks fun. Don't get me going with the MASK references though. I heard years ago they were going to make a MASK movie and that never came to fruition.

Put down that White Wine Spritzer Gabe Newell. No celebrating just yet. This is like the Switch Lites having drift. At least Joy-Cons are modular and can be replaced.

Looks great. I love the 32-bit aesthetic.
Re: Sorry Folks, But There's Still No Release Date For Digimon Survive
I'm starting to think that this game is going to be largely pared back from it's initial vision. That is if it's not vaporware altogether.
Re: Poll: Are You Excited About Pokémon Scarlet And Pokémon Violet?
I normally go graas type starter. Grookey was awesome, but this time I think I have to go with Quaxly. He's just too darn adorable not too.

@DiamondJim Hover on the game on the home screen, the press start/plus. It should tell you then.

@Specter_of-the_OLED Those are the worst running games on the Switch anyways. That's probably why they stayed in Japan.

@BlackenedHalo Right. I wish they would do a bit more with color and not make everything gold and black.
Re: Pokémon Trading Card Game Live 'Limited Beta' Is Now Available In Canada
Let's just hope the players aren't beaten with clubs for their insolence and gaul to play such a game.

Re: Reminder: Edge Of Eternity - Cloud Version Launches On Switch Today
@Rayquaza2510 I'd say it's about on par with the Xenoblade games. Especially 1. It's really not a bad looking game just flip the cloud version.
Re: Reminder: Edge Of Eternity - Cloud Version Launches On Switch Today
@JR150 Laziness. Not, resource allocation. Not, lack of talent or passion. Laziness.
Re: Reminder: Edge Of Eternity - Cloud Version Launches On Switch Today
Great game whom's cloud version is trash. Top to bottom.
Re: Black Isle Studios Is Bringing Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II To Switch In 2022
I played the first Dark Alliance on Gamecube but never got to play the second as I didn't have a system to play it on. That shall be remedied now.
