I always find it funny that when a piece of hardware starts to slow down in sales analyst look at the scenario like the popularity of the hardware is dropping, when actually it's just that the majority of gamers have now bought a Switch and don't need 2 or 3 of them. It's silly to think somehow sales will remain the same. Now it's time for a 2 year avalanche of killer software. The Switch will probably surpass every console except for, maybe, the PS2 in software sales when all is said and done.
I'm still playing my New 3DS XL almost everyday. I have a pretty hefty backlog and am still adding to it. It's also the system I take with me when I travel, so I don't have to bring my Switch and worry about something happening to it.
My fav pro controller so far is still the Smash one. The gray and black just look so good together. Hopefully some controllers, official or 3rd party, release alongside TMNT: Shredders Revenge.
@Serpenterror Hopefully we see Jet. He's my favorite plus, considering how many Sonic racing games there are it would be cool to see some racing in the next one. Whether it's hoverboards or cars.
Wtf ever happened to Beyond Good and Evil 2? That game was supposed to be super revolutionary and looked great upon reveal. Now it seems that it has completely disappeared.
And why not bring BLOPS 1 and 2 and Ghosts over. They wouldn't even need to be remasters. They ran at 720p 60fps on the WiiU. Maybe they could bump the resolution up to 900p or 1080p, but other than that straight ports would be fine. P.S. I know BLOPS 1 wasn't on WiiU but 2 was and they could easily port the PS360 version of 1 with said res bump.
Still waiting to hear if there is a lightgun peripheral that I can put my Joy Con in. If so, I'm in. I don't like those cheap "rifle" versions sold on Amazon.
So are we not getting anymore Nes or Snes games now that the "Expansion Pass" was released? I guess that means no more new games on the "Expansion Pass" in a year too. Wow.
@Goat_FromBOTW I think it's just people in Indiana are home bodies. Especially during Winter so we naturally play alot of video games. Indiana was also one of the better places to grow up in the 80's and 90's and the legacy of Nintendo emerges out of that. We know how to slow down, not get caught up in all the hype and live the good life. Vacations to Florida, trips to King's Island every year and are happy to let people think it's nothing but corn fields so they don't bring their drama here.
@Goat_FromBOTW I'm a Hoosier too. I usually shop at The Exchange in Indy or Castleton. I sometimes go to Disc Replay as well but their selection has waned over the past couple of years.
This is such a disappointment. California is garbage. I'd much rather see this park opening in Florida. I would genuinely just go to the park in Japan instead and I live in the U.S. Bad look Nintendo.
I love this game. Rise is, in my opinion, the best Monster Hunter to date. World was great and Gen Ultimate was good as well but Rise takes the cake. It's just so fun. I've logged over 100 hours and can't wait for Sunbreak to drop.
@Zverik Alot of it has to do with controlled resolution buffering where backgrounds that are clear on other versions are blurred out. Draw distance is a huge factor, having "x" amount of data be in a higher resolution/framerate at a certain distance from the visible viewing angle. Most of the time, animations have to be recoded to alot for "less" movement so that characters models can maintain a decent framerate. That causes a need for remodeling in most cases. You'll notice a character model look "skinnier". The dev will usually maintain the "head" of a model because that's the focal point and downgrade the body. Mostly using less polys to create a similar looking model. Things that were more fleshed out in other versions are hollowed out to have less data present in the memory cache to maintain resolution and framerate.
I base it off of the last Pokemon I started with. In Shield it was Grookey. This time around I'm going with Quaxly. I've never started with a water-type and I have a thing for ducks.
Man, you guys must be super rough with your Switches. I got mine in February of 2018 and it's nearly pristine. I've kept it in a good case and play it docked to handheld about 50/50. The screen is fine, the battery is fine although I am on my second pair of Joycon. The first gray pair were inflicted with the dreaded drift. I have an orange and purple pair that have been fine since I got them. I do use the spilt pad pro from Hori quite a bit though and have a pro controller for docked gaming.
When the Super Switch, or whatever it ends up being called, inevitably releases I will buy one of those and homebrew my OG Switch. Then I can try out all of these fun features people are always showing off.
I feel like "beating" BOTW is, completing all the shrines minus DLC, raising all of the towers, completing all of the Divine Beasts, gathering all of the memories and obtaining the Hylian Shield and Master Sword. Then playing Hyrule Castle and defeating Ganon. That's the full game. If you know what you're doing it can be done in 50-60 hours. Although I have logged over 300 hrs in total between the Wii U and Switch versions.

Re: Redout 2 Slows Down And Delays Release, Now Coming In June
It's a shame because the graphics look beautiful but the 30fps just kills it for me. I wish it was 60fps. I'd be all over it.

Re: Poll: If Nintendo Released Mother 3 In The West, What Would It Be Called?
@Pally356 There's not. The creator said himself that the Mother series is done and Nintendo reiterated the claim.
Re: Poll: If Nintendo Released Mother 3 In The West, What Would It Be Called?
I'm digging the Earthbound Endings or maybe Earthbound Aftermath. Otherwise, Son of a Mother Lover, sounds good.

I have bought the booster pack. I may grab the expansion pass in the future but I'm still not sure.
