I think we all agree that it "should be" an optional thing. The silly point is it wasn't at launch and in this day and age you lose people very quickly. C'mon Bethesda, you should know that as well as anybody. Fallout 76', I'm looking at you.

So I did the quick math and between my son and I, we've had a total of 8 3/2DS' respectively. I had a black one at launch that got destroyed about 3 mos later. So I got a red one. Then the XL came out and I got a blue one. Then the 2DS dropped and I got my son one. That's 4 so far. Then, him being 7 yrs old at the time, basically destroyed that one. So me, being the kickass (if slightly ignorant) Dad I am decided, this calls for a 3DS XL then! '-' Because I couldn't lose my lil gaming buddy. Then, New 3DS is coming! What! What a terrible name!? But I gotta play Xenoblade on the go so, pony up Dad. I bought 2 "New" XL's one for me and one for him. For when he inevitably annihilates his current model. Which of course occurred, through the hinge no longer having any tension and him one day saying, "Oh, I gave that one too Jessie." Evil dad looks and a stern talking too aside. I said, "Well how about this one then?" Which he basically replied, "Meh". At that point I said, oh well I'm happy with my 3DS. NX is looming and I've had my fill. Then Nintendo, being the frisky lil minx they are said, "How about a regular green 2DS with Ocarina of Time 3D already on the system"? Anyone, anyone? Grumble grumble grumble. Snatch, just gimme the damn thing, alright!? And it sits, still in box. In my closet. Waiting to be passed on too my son one day when Pops is long gone, hangin with Sakaguchi and Iwata-san. So, the point is, I get the temptation. If I could have bought all of the Game Boy Colors or 8 N64's back in the day, I probably would have and now that I can, I do. So when it's all said and done I'll probably have about 5 Switches. So kudos to those who chose to go dude whoa, a few mo kupos!? But I'll be waitin on the "New Pro". Cheers brethren. 🍻

@nessisonett "Societal Progress" is extremely subjective and barley any games are degrading. This type of "scared toxic think" is just something overly sensitive people who think their feelings matter too the world way more than they do, adopt. You should go listen to Quentin Tarantino's thoughts on movie violence askewing reality and causing real-world violence. It's a fairly eye-opening piece. In the same vein as this type of conversation.

@Kienda Yes. He got a Switch about a year ago with Odyssey and Kart 8 Deluxe. He had already played BOTW on WiiU. His last posted comment picture was actually one of his Switch purchase.

@Dayton311 Believe it or not...he never left. Just opened a new account. He was receiving alot of grief for some of his opinions and decided too change his comment style and frequency. I won't say who he is though as he hasn't so maybe he doesn't want people to know.

I found enough seeds to fill out all of my item slots, around 440, and then kinda went off to do other things. I have probably found about another 50 randomly though.

I got my Switch (Grey version) in Feb. 2018. My left joy con started drifting in about April of this year. So I was 3 mos. out of warranty and pretty perturbed. I've been playing with my pro controller in docked mode strictly since then. Nintendo taking care of this really makes me happy and I hope they improve the build of the joy con going forward.

Iwata-san was a wonderful person. One of the things about him, that I feel is often overlooked, was his awesome sense of humor. I'll never foget him in "Muppet" form, or doing little funny skits with Reggie and Bill. Some magic definitely left this world the day Iwata-san passed. Rest in Power big homie!

@gigawhat Dragon Quest Heroes 1 & 2 is on a 32 gig card and The Witcher 3 will be as well. CD ProjektRed already stated that themselves.

This game is meh. Can we please just get it out of the way so we can have the real Layton games come too Switch?!?!

I got the first one on sale with some gold coins and it turned out too be better than I expected. Plus, it's a game everyone can play.

I remember being able too throw Wolverine at people with Colossus in either Legends or the first Ultimate Alliance. I hope that type of stuff is still in this one.

Man. That's a legend right there. He can be as blase as he wants too be about the whole thing but, this man created a human phenomenon. It goes way beyond "cultural". Everyone from your Grandma to your children has played Tetris and will continue to do so for decades too come. If not forever. When genius strikes it almost always goes unnoticed until the art becomes a "posthumous" piece. At least this is a case where Alexey is able to bask in the glory of his creation. History in the making.

The way Doug and Bill both have worded their statements, I would say it sounds like maybe they have plans too release another game or 2 (probably ports) for the 3DS. They just know they will be smaller releases announced at a later date and they don't want that info to detract, in anyway, the hype for a Switch game.

@RushDawg I know. I thought maybe something like the Nintendo Arcade classic games from Hamster would be released on the Xbox. Or maybe even a second-party Nintendo release like Bayonetta 2 would release on Xbox. Get more people hyped for 3 and they would have too buy a Switch to play it.

September is jam packed. Between this and Zelda, Ni No Kuni and Daemon X Machina will have to hit the back burner. Then Witcher 3, Luigis Mansion 3 and Pokemon will release. And all of this is if I'm finished with Ultimate Alliance 3, Fire Emblem and Astral Chain in time. When will I be able too play DOOM Eternal? I don't even want any games too release December to March. That way I can catch up on the 50 games I'll miss playing the other 50. Holy Smokes this has been a great E3 for Nintendo. So many games and yes, it's such a good time too be a Switch owner.

Super dope! Can't wait. The Dark Crystal series is my most anticipated thing outside of gaming right now. After that abysmal GOT "ending" I need something to refresh my love for the television medium. Having this nifty little nugget of a game to fanboy out with and play alongside watching the new series, I'm all set.

Night in the Woods and both Turoks for me. Can't wait either. I've heard so many good things about Night in the Woods but have kept putting it off for some reason. THIS is that reason! Also, the Turoks reviewed very well and look good. I loved the OG games on N64 so that will be a fun romp as well.

The anticipation is so tough to deal with right now.

This is one mobile game I wholeheartedly welcome too the Switch. I'm sure it'll look and play great and more Elder Scrolls is never a bad thing.

This isn't exclusive to game devs. All people deserve credit when they've put in hardwork regardless of their employment status. A little, "nice job" or "good work" goes a long way towards making people stay motivated and feel appreciated. I can't believe we've moved so far away from basic validation in this day and age. We really need to get back too basics and help take care of each other in the ways we can. If we don't who will?

Man I'm starting too feel like 90% of E3 has been leaked at this point. I'm sure Nintendo Sony and Msoft have some surprises still but alot of the third party devs are letting the monkey out of the bottle early.

I've been asking for this since the Switch launched. It's hard to imagine that Ni No Kuni is 9 years old. Sheesh

@SepticLemon I thought the same thing but it seems now the new norm is to announce games just before E3 and use the convention too showcase them. Ninty did it with Pokemon, THQ Nordic has announced 3 games this week. I just hope there are enough new game announcements next week too keep things interesting.

With the right IP, China is a gaming goldmine. The fact that copyright law is a joke in China has deterred so many hardware and software devs for so long that it's hard too imagine something as "mainstream" as Pokemon lasting there without being infringed upon and having it's plug pulled. Happened time and time again.

What?! No Contra Force?! I know the game's terrible but at least give a new gen the means too figure that out for themselves.

I played this game top too bottom on WiiU so I can't justify a double dip. The game's good. Better than most people give it credit for although Black Flag was a much better game. Sucks Ubi couldn't get the framerate to be a bit more soild.

Hi-Rez makes high quality games so I will give this one a go. Not a huge fan of Fortnite but the fantasy theme of Realm gives it a different vibe. Also, Paladins is solid so I feel like this one will have an equal level of polish.

@bleedinmagic81 You can use the original Gamecube controller! As the newer (smash) version is an exact replica of the originals.

My local Wal-Mart seems too never have less than 5 at all times. Never heard of a shortage of docks before. Then again I am in the States.

I got dled Cuphead and got Dragon's Dogma physically. Both great games. I'm having a good time with both of them right now.

Yeah right. Switch will probably run in 30fps or too hit 60fps, have the lighting, textures and shadows pared way back. It may overall end in the same level of enjoyment with all versions but, the Switch version will almost guaranteedly not be quite on par with the PS4/Xbone versions. Which in itself is okay but, too claim otherwise seems like well-wishing.

Gonna get a Forest Green USB version to play Yooka-Laylee with on Switch. And if Rare Replay does ever come too Switch, lookout! These things will be sold out everywhere.

I mostly just want release dates for all of the games we know are coming. Also a reveal or 2 will be cool and here's hoping that Prime Trilogy HD finally rears it's head.

I want pretty much all of these. Except Mario Maker. I'll probably skip that unless my library gets it. But, FE, Ultimate Alliance, Astral Chain, Luigi's Mansion, Zelda, Pokemon, Dragon Quest and God Eater 3 I want all of. I'm not an Animal Crossing fan either so I'll skip that one. Also want Crash Team Racing and Daemon X Machina but I think the latter will be pushed too Fall from a Summer release date. I think Bayonetta 3 and Prime 4 will be next year. Here's hoping for Prime Trilogy this year sometime too!

Basically all the Battletoads, Castlevania and Mega Man games. Lol Also Mario Land 2 and Link's Awakening. Damn the GB's got some killer hits.

@Mgene15 Those games are all good but, I could basically say the same about the Switch. Fire Emblem, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, DaemonXMachina, Astral Chain, Zelda Link's Awakening Remake, Luigi's Mansion 3, Animal Crossing, Bayonetta 3, Metroid Prime 4 and rumored Trilogy. If you haven't played Xenoblade 2, Zelda or Mario Odyssey then you have 3 more gems to hit from the backlog. So where as the PS4 has good games out now and more coming down the pipeline, so does the Switch.

Meh. Just another reason to not buy this filth.
