PlatinumGames' current 'Platinum4' initiative is already off to a pretty strong start; the beginning of the month saw a new Kickstarter campaign to get The Wonderful 101: Remastered on Switch (the first of the Platinum4), and today has brought news of the second game - Project GG.
Naturally, there are two more announcements yet to be made, and while we haven't got the foggiest on what these might be, PlatinumGames head producer Atsushi Inaba has teased that something special may well be on the way.
Speaking with Japanese magazine Famitsu (with translation by Siliconera), Inaba says that the last of the four is a big secret, and one that will be "very interesting". This pretty much confirms that it won't be Bayonetta 3 or presumably anything we already know about - otherwise, how would it be a secret?
No other information has been provided just yet, such as when we can expect to hear about the final two announcements, so we'll have to keep an eye out and try not to get too excited while we wait. If you have any ideas on the sort of thing you expect to be revealed, feel free to post them in the comments below.

After the earlier news, I’m genuinely bewildered and lacking any opinion. I may well be trapped in the Twilight Zone?! 😥
[NOTE] This is not intended as a negative statement!
Some nerve they have announcing they are working on something cool
Platinum Games announces Platinum Kart, a crossover racing game featuring characters from Bayonetta, Astral Chain, W101, and Nier, as well as guest characters Ape from Ape Escape and Andy from Advance Wars.
The gimmick is that you can lock-on to other racers and jump out of your kart to preform combos on them and knock them off the track.
It'll totally happen, trust me
@ToonStuff I'd play it, sounds awesome.
Platinum Games really live up to their name when it comes to quality. Exciting developments all around! I’m excited with each new announcement!
Even their announcements lack substance! Hilarious.
@ToonStuff Platinum Kart x Star Fox Grand Prix. Really make it a crossover game. Running on the Scalebound engine of course!
Still hoping for a Switch version of Nier. Fingers crossed.
So this is an announcement of an announcement, then?
What a time to be alive.
Announcing games before they're even ready to be shown, the gaming industry in a nutshell.
Call me when Bayo 3 is up and ready.
Oh god, what if the final announcement is Scalebound for Switch
I would love one of those to be a Neir Automata port for Switch
I get it’s marketing but these teasers irritate me. Either tell me or don’t. Tired of the “I have something to tell you, but I’ll tell you later” semblance of these future reveals
I disagree that we know about 2 things, really we know about 1 thing and the announcement of a project with no real information about it lol. based on these announcements who knows what else is up their sleeves. I have a feeling at least one of the other 2 will be a sequel to a current property though.
@dougphisig My feelings (that I was unable to articulate in my earlier comment) in a nutshell!
@MsJubilee Which industry that is selling goods is not working that way? Movies, games, music, cars, they are all the same more or less. Has always been like this, will always be like this...
I can only see that being one of two things, a Scalebound revival or they are working with a famous and unexpected IP probably Nintendo related.
Metroid Prime 4.
@mandlecreed oh man what a plot twist. Retro Studios and Platinum Games were the same company the whole time!
Metroid Prime 4!! Woohoo
So yeah... how about you finish the projects you're meant to be working on before making more promises that could end up being as empty as Atral Chain is for in game content.
Or lets just come out and say it: how can i trust anything they say now when they are clearly lying about Bayonetta - 3+ years to develop a hack n slash game?... seriously? - we haven't even heard anything about it either.
One thing is for sure though, the 3rd Bayonetta better not be some weekend hack and slash game, they're digging themselves a little hole here.
The longer we go without solid news, the more time they have taken to develop the game, the more we come to expect and the more we will be let down when they release another low content 20 hour game for £50.
Games like Bayonetta 1 and 2 are a yearly release game. Anything more than 2 years and you're looking at expectations you just simply won't meet.
Just wanted to comment that at some point in the future I will be commenting on this
@Pablo17 Your comment better live up to the hype I have created for it or I will ineffectually boycott your future comments.
Okami sequel confirmed lol
It's gonna be Metroid Prime 4. Or new sidescroller metroid game.
@AnnoyingFrenzy @Pablo17 Have you got a hashtag ready in case we're kept waiting? I was thinking #SaySomethingPablo17
I would have been a lot more curious if he had said "ignore the 4th announcement, it's not interesting at all"
