Most of my snes, n64 and nes games are only cart while my genesis is part loose cart part boxed...which makes wonder, how on earth these people threw away the plastic cases that were common on the genesis?! I understand the cardboard ones but firm, sturdy, plastic ones?! Really pisses me off.

The first Zelda was advertised as a mix of Arcade action game with computer RPG elements.

Breath of the wild has lots of simmilarieties to both Skyrim and The Wicther and people call those RPGs

Not every RPG is the same. Not every RPG is like Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.

So, yes it is an RPG. Or an RPG with action/adventure elements.

But still an RPG

64DD is one of those add-ons that I would have loved to be successful and last longer. The idea of magnetic discs was interesting. Oh well.

Not just Nintendo. But the 8th generation was like 90% ports, remakes and remasters and even the "new" ones were sequels or reboots.

with the exception of Balan's world (which looks terrible), I don't expect anything for Switch. It will be the typical feet-kissing for PS and XBX...maybe PC.

A new track for the 1 1/2 anniversary! Nice! New gifts are always welcome. This game is very fun. I just wish the online multiplayer didn't have that awful lag -_-

What I truly disliked is that Aounuma comes and says that "SS has the foundations for BoTW".

No, it didn't.

SS is nothing but puzzles after puzzles in a strictly on-rails"overworld". The story is awful. The characters are stupid. The gameplay is tedious. It's the exact opposite of what Botw...BOTW was created after the disastrous sales of SS for christ's sake!

And I don't remember people being excited when this game was released but all the contrary. Many didn't bother to finish it and had mediocre sales.

SS was the proof that Aonuma should have never been in charge of Zelda. BOTW is an great zelda game not thanks to himb but despite him. It was nothing but pure "I can't kill Octorocks so I'll keep cutting grass" Aounma style.

Ok fine, I know many enjoyed it (god why?) and is cool to see they remastered a wii game instead of another wii u one. I never liked this game and is the only zelda title I sold after I finished it, wishing to never touch it again.

Splatoon 2 is 5 years old. It has been a while since then. Considering that Nintendo said that Switch is in the middle of its life cycle, makes sense to release it now.

The Maker games are less 2D Mario games and more Build Creativity apps. They are way too high in the list.

Compared to other Mario games, it way too disjointed and bland. It really felt they rushed it to get it on time for christmas.

If a product sells well, the logical reason is to keep those customers with a new upgraded product.

And people whining for a Switch Pro: knock it off. It's annoying how everybody keeps parroting those FUD rumors without substance or any amount of logic.

Switch right now has a healthy commercial state so it doesn't need a "pro" revision at all. Switch right now it's in its growing phase not in the decline one. PS4 and Xbox one are much older and are on their way out, while PS5 and XBX are brand new, expensive and widely unavailable.

Nintendo right now has no hurry in releasing much more powerful hardware. At all. If anything, that would be reserved for its successor (and that has a long time to come) and may release a smaller version of the switch for the children's market.

30fps is good enough. besides I play more connected to the TV than portable.

But I am still not sure about getting it. I'll wait and see how Bowser's fury rolls out before making a decision.

I played this game on my N64 a few months ago.

It really didn't age very well. Graphics aside, the controls are a mess, and the gameplay a bit inconsistent.

I remember enjoying the multiplayer 20 years ago but I doubt me and my friends would enjoy it again.

Also, the Mario Makers are not "true" 2D Mario games but more like Legos construction sets. It's a different kind of game.

Hmm. Though choice. With the exception of Lost Levels, I like them all in different ways.

SMB3 is in the way top of course.

It's a very old-school thing that has become more and more old-fashioned. Dragon quest xi has lots of grinding but the leveling up system makes it more tolerable. Final Fantasy VIII on the other hand...I had to use the MAX all feature because I was getting tired of the absurdly long battles.

@AtlanteanMan Mario Kart Tour is one of the most successful mobile games from Nintendo. It has lots of players. Just because YOU don't play it, doesn't make you superior or right.

MK8, as much as I like it, it's a 7-YEAR-OLD GAME. Why on earth they should make content for almost a decade-year-old game?!

Third parties don't like Nintendo. That means they have to compete with them and they don't like that. I don't buy the graphical power when they have no problem making them for cellphones. Just excuses, excuses, excuses.

Why do you think Switch, a very succesful console, only has 10-year-old ports and no new entries? No new Resident Evil. Just ports. No new Crash Bandicoot. Just a port of the trilogy. No new Call of Duty but of course one for cellphones. No new Final Fantasy, only PS1 and cellphone ports. And so on and so on.

For the Playstation and Xbox gamer, a Nintendo console is beneath them. And third parties, at least the huge majority, has the same thinking.

I noticed that NSMBWii/U multiplayer is more fun when you play with older gamers/adults, while SM3DW is more fun for children.

@BulbasaurusRex Wii sports was an arcade sports game for everybody. Nintendoland was aimed at kids. Wii sports showed why the wii mote was great. Nintendoland showed why the GamePad was useless.
