Mario Kart may have been absent in the latest Nintendo Direct, but Mario Kart Tour is still receiving regular updates. After the recent Cat Tour and an ongoing Peach vs. Daisy Tour, we'll be returning to an old favourite this time around.
Simply called the "Snow Tour", it's bringing back DK Summit - A.K.A. DK's Snowboard Cross - from Mario Kart Wii. A mountainous winter sports resort, it's a popular destination for Shy Guys, and Tour replaces Mario's snowboarding statue with a Donkey Kong one.
Snow Tour goes live for two weeks, available from February 23rd until March 9th.
Will you be playing this latest event? Any other classic tracks you'd like to see return? Let us know down below.

Aw Heck Yeah! Let's Goooooo! also, the twitter picture shows a Toad with a blue cap with yellow spots.
I really, really, really, really, really hope the next console Mario Kart will get the same love as this game has been getting. Content wise.
Would have been nice if they gave us more tracks for 8 Deluxe. It's been years at this point.
DK summit is my 2nd favorite track only behind coconut mall
@Yosher 100% agree, it is such a shame Mario Kart 8 hasn't received more than the DLC years ago. So odd that Smash bros got so much on-going content and Kart (Which is still a best seller after all these years) gets nothing.
If you disregard MK8 Deluxe, which probably required relatively little development, it has been nearly seven years since the last Mario Kart. We are long overdue for a new one. I'm sure Nintendo is happy to let MK8 Deluxe keep racking up sales, but it stands to reason that a new MK, released to 80 million Switch owners, would do just as well if not better. Truly head-scratching that we have not even heard of a new one at this point.
Let's not get MK 8 DLC. Let's get a new game!
Fantastic level. Looks great
Nintendo ignoring console Mario Kart makes me sad.
( Not a criticism of NL<3 )
@Yosher I agree, Nintendo gives a lot of love to Mario Kart Tour and the next installment deserves the same.
So, the console version despite being only a deluxe version of a previous gen entry is still the best-selling switch game to date (not for much longer) and yet receives no love compared to a mobile version. Also, there doesn´t seem to be any new version coming soon with the recent release of the Live:Home Circuit hybrid.
@Arkay Agreed. I have no idea why people take exception to this request, there are plenty of new players after all (moreso than the Wii U install base could muster).
The sooner MK9 comes out the better. There's no way they would produce all this tracks and not include them for the Switch.
Oh look the usual whiners and spoiled brats that can't just accept that people enjoy this game and have fun. How original and new.
It has been 2 years kiddos. Get. Over. It.
Was expecting Sherbet Land from Double Dash but I'm happily surprised, this was my favorite Wii course
People actually play this game?
@Bowser89 Yes, through im a Free to Play player, and not spending any money on this game
