Yellow journalism and the yellow press are American terms for journalism and associated newspapers that present little or no legitimate, well-researched news while instead using eye-catching headlines for increased sales. Techniques may include exaggerations of news events, scandal-mongering, or sensationalism. By extension, the term yellow journalism is used today as a pejorative to decry any journalism that treats news in an unprofessional or unethical fashion.
Since when "Borrows too heavily from Breath of the Wild" is a negative thing. NintendoLife especially names half of the indie games on Switch Breath of The Wild style to promote them. Therefore, there is no logic in using it as a negative feature. The reviewer gets a B minus just for this.
Also the fact that Nintendo Life and Nintendoworldsomething give the lowest grade to this game in the video game industry is at least, strange.
5 pixels less here and there, 5 shadows less here and there, 5 trees less here and there, 5 wrinkles less here and there. I think I can cope with that.
@CharizardEmperor 79 on metacritic means it is a very good game far from the PRETTY BAD you are saying. Also, Nintendo helped with this game. Don't you read the news?
@CharizardEmperor Apart from the fact that you are calling the game PRETTY BAD when this article and the general reviews imply that it is definitely not a bad game you should also try to make some effort to write correct sentences.
@Stocksy Don't over-generalize things. FIFA and Just Dance is not the same. Just Dance has new songs, with new choreographers, new dance motifs, new dancers, technicians, monteurs, graphic designers, programmers, audio technicians, new licensees and so on. Multiply this to 41 times for 41 songs and you get the idea. So, no, Just Dance is not EA FIFA.
@Yellow Who cares about slippi. The article talks about illegal copies. And who told you that emulation is legal when you pay an entrance fee? Are you serious?
@Snatcher and everyone else like him. Do you know what intellectual property is? Do you know what it means to protect your own work so others cannot use it and get money out of your own work? Would you like to invent something, draw a project, create a song and have others steal your work and even get money out of it? Where do you guys live? Why don't you have common sense that hacking, modding is illegal? Why are you so silly in accepting theft as the normal practice? You cannot live by stealing other's work. Enough with this unethical thinking. Grow up!
@westman98 Not only you are trolling but you are a racist too. Bad. Very bad combination. And if that 98 in your username means that you are 22 years old now that is very worrying.
@otoad62 @SilentHunter382 @Zequio @thesilverbrick @FiveTwoZero It's not people talking about it. It's a company, NintendoLife, Nlife Media, partner of Gamer Network, that officially talks about it promoting modding and hacking. That makes it illegal.
ps: I hope this update in the comments section where replies are beneath comments comes sooner than later.
@Menchi Modding and advertizing of hacking is illegal. Laws forbid it. When you mess with the works and intellectual properties of others without permission you are illegal. Wake up from you fantasy world.
It's very upsetting that you NintendoLife and @RyanCraddock cover modders who are actually illegally changing the software that does not belong to them. It's OK to do it for themshelves but to actually advertise their work is absurd and possibly against the law.
@Slowdive No, my friend. Nintendo is not a company that dislikes and even denies competition, either from companies, or its fans. Is this what you say to yourself to justify illegal practices and theft such as hacking and stealing the work of others and their intellectual properties? Please, wake up.
@Damo The Japanese cover does not have any logic. It's divided into 3 different parts and they don't connect with each other. It's like one designer made the drawing with the cars and the city. Another one made the heads and stuck them on the first picture. And then another designer locked in a different room, did the logo, put a grey background and they didn't know where to put it and patched it above the drawings by itself.
If Nintendo embraces cloud gaming as it seems it is starting too, then, even those AAA games with super wow pixels from PS5 and Xbox Series will also be available on the Switch. This will mark the first time where impossible to port games will be in Switch's library as well. I find that a succesful strategy for even greater Switch sales. After all Switch is not only handheld, it is a console too for millions of people who will not own another console or don't like playing on PC.
1. I would like to congratulate the reviewer @KateGray for her very professional review.
2. Kate Grey is also an old Greek famous singer
3. Control plays very well on Switch. I recommend it for all those players that do not own other consoles or do not like playing video games on PC.
4. Waiting time is around 5 to 20 seconds @okeribok
No time to watch the video but I have played Control several days and I know the answer. It works.
(ps. plus that I don't think that Alex Olney guy is suitable for video presentations.)
Cloud based games is an interesting addition to the Switch. And remember, different players, different likes. A lot of Switch owners use TV mode more than portable so it's OK with them to have a few games that they cannot play anywhere, anytime. (although I took my Switch on my local cafe and played Control just fine)
I have a poor internet wifi. I live in Athens, Greece which in general, does not have great speeds. However, the game streams almost perfectly with no lag and out of 10 times I played Control I didn't have to wait more than 10 to 30 seconds. Many players on Twitter also say that it streams even better on Switch than in Xbox or Playstation having people asking how is this happening.
@Yanina I don't like what you are saying here: "Otherwise he could just go digital or pirate it, if the content is the only thing of interest." If a gamer does not like a physical presentation of a video game he can go digital, and when you say "go" you obviously mean "buy". He cannot "pirate" it. Because if he does then Mr. policeman comes at his home. Got it?
@SpaceKaren No he is wrong and you are wrong. What you need to realize is that the entire reason the switch is as popular as it is, is due to the dual nature of it, not just portable, not just a console on a furniture at home.
I don't know how these two people up there came up with that "feels like a demo" thing. The game is a complete experience and a very polished one at that. When you end the game it feels like exactly that: you ended the game.

The logic of immature children and internet rumor speculation becoming an article in a website called NintendoLife.
This is another example of "yellow journalism" and the usual suspect is the writer called @LiamDoolan
