So many Super Nintendo games have a timeless art style that will be loved forever.

During the wii and wiiu’s life I was referring to my consoles as Nintendo as I didn’t like the ring of name. With the switch I’ll occasionally call it by its name but still mostly refer to it as my Nintendo.

Super Mario rpg or mystical ninja would be great for the snes. Perfect dark for the N64. Streets of rage or shine force 2 for the genesis

@Aezetz agreed, they should call it community time instead of community day for how short they make the window and I can’t remember the last time I used an incense. Seems like this move will only lose Niantic money.

Addition: thinking about it, Niantic must be hoping to increase the FOMO of the rare Pokémon. I’ve met some folks that have spent thousands and will do anything to “catch them all” with shiny perfect IV stats. Gonna give some people anxiety disorders.

Another addition: just spoke with my sister, she has spent several hundred on the game and I’ve talked with her in the past about it. She isn’t happy at all about this either but just trying to keep her from spending anymore on it. These mobile games can be a real (edit: money sink) for some people with that kind of addictive personality.

Great games, I beat earthbound the first week it was released on the services. Looking forward to Super Mario rpg in the future.

For me, it’s an exercise app number one, just something I boot up when I go for a walk/jog. I don’t really focus on catching anything, just push a button and it catches what it will. I’m pretty much a casual but have met some hardcore folks that these changes will not make happy (though a lot of those folks are retired older people so they will be there no matter what).

A few good ones and a few ehh ones. If the new courses do not get into the online play rotations, they will be worth considerably less to me.

Got my switch the day of release and still use the original grey joycons. The system works great, a lite crack in the back plate (top right corner) is there but plate is still attached. On start up the joycons have some drift but I wiggle them and that works the bugs out (the drift disappears and doesn’t come back until it sits awhile). I use a screen protector since day one so screen is great. Great bit of tech.

Sounds like they were checking the subject IOP (intraocular pressure). Doctors do this with eye exams all the time to make sure glaucoma doesn’t develop.

Jin Au-yeung character says “look at my knees” which he than follows up by asking a question “what kind of knees are these?” Jin Au-yeung character answers his own question by proclaiming “chi-knees”. Why is this not in the article? The actor doesn’t say dirty knees or Japanese, just a play on words chi-knees. Would be like someone asking where all the gerwomen are. A pun or joke, perhaps not a good one to some but that’s subjective.

No worries anymore, his name is now Grogu. Figured it would be something that started with a Y but oh well...

I’ll be interested to see where OK sells numbers end up. I believe the series could have more potential.

Sounds fine to me but I’m not fretting and will keep playing either way. It makes a good exercise app and never felt the need to spend money on it.

It was the early 90’s in Japan. I’m surprised they only let him smoke there and didn’t have a smoking group. In United States (I’m sure many place around the world as well) in the early 90’s, nurses still could smoke cigarettes on the hospital floor and the med carts were equipped with ash trays. Wasn’t banned until 1993.

@Araquanid I’ve played AoV in the past a bit and figured this would be like that. I’m no as familiar with the moba terminology but your saying this version won’t have a slayer and dragon type creature to slay? I’ve tried watching the video again But couldn’t tell. Also didn’t notice much of a jungle if any. Disappointed if this is the case and will have to pass. Don’t want a watered down experience.

HoK/AoV is that game that has over 200 million players with over 10 million active daily still? You may not know that character but there are millions that do.

Sounds like they are pretty happy with the switch and it’s versatility. Also, they emphasized having multiple iterations of the same console and being able to focus all their development power to that one console (so they aren’t going to try to juggle two different pieces of hardware at once). Just like they did with the Wii to Wii U, I’d wager they will rinse and repeat (of course adding an innovation or two) for their next console.

@sanderev So presenting the information in a fun and interactive way on your switch, I like that thought. Perhaps a small something you download and it’s like a game that your run through as they show you what’s coming up. Maybe a quiz at the end and you will get gold coins for your time.

@sanderev Nintendo release and breaks up their direct game trailers and puts them on the switch under news already, usually takes them about 12 hours or so after the direct releases.

@Heavyarms55 I agree, seems like all it needs is a few small rubber bumpers and that would do the trick. Since the switch’s screen is plastic, it seems like everything and anything you dock it to can scratch the dang thing and the only real way to help is a screen protector anyway. Love the NA snes for nostalgia reason and know this would look great in my rec room next to my childhood snes.

Shame they couldn’t get the 1930’s cartoon style down. I’ll check back when it starts getting some reviews.

With how Tencent treated AoV on switch, I would say this game will be better supported on mobile and out side the initial release won’t be touched again on switch (all depending on how well it is received by mobile gamers, always possible to just flop). With it being a Tencent moba game and with the Pokémon name slapped on it, chances are this game will be successful. I enjoy AoV on mobile and if this game has a similar build, I’ll enjoy this one as well.

@nuklh3d1 I was thinking about that game just yesterday (I always picked the ape, easiest to train). Wish they offered it on gog.com, steam or switch.

I got an extra (1up) gun when playing the Japanese version somehow but not in the NA version. How do you get extra guns (1ups)? Is it only in the Japanese version?

Addition: I believe it is the Japanese version only. So far I’ve gotten an extra gun(1up) at $20,000 and $200,000.

Addition2: another gun(1up) on wigwams stage off the sky lifts on the cliff.

Really love some KFC and miss my KFC buffet in town. Could put back 4 chicken breasts and a side of potatoes and gravy with room for dessert.

Ha, didn’t see this direction coming. I figured for more themes but this is also good. All in all great update just a bit sad that there won’t be anymore themes as this was declared the last major update (Nintendo should make “themes” singular).

At the core of the game is an exercise app. I’d say in some areas exercise apps are hurting for money (though I’d be surprised If go is truly hurting, probably just not making as much) so now they are adding even more remote play functions to the game, seems understandable that niantic would charge more for something that can be used off location to raid anywhere opposed to something that has to be used on site because when we find a stable way to combat covid sometime in the future, niantic are going to want to keep the core game as what it is, an exercise app.

A little goo gone and a hair dryer would take those stickers right off without damaging the cabinet itself. Would make it look a lot nicer. Makes me think of the time i had to remove a price sticker off the front label of a copy of chrono trigger for the snes, that was a bottom clincher for sure.

I don’t buy Levi’s ever since they moved their plant from Knoxville Tennessee. Had relatives directly impacted by that.To each their own though.

@bluemage1989 I could definitely see that as a possibility. Got my fingers crossed for a NA Mario bro’s 2 theme, love that game.

@Crockin I jump on from time to time still to move through the normal level infinite run (in the 8000s ranking now) and check if there’s a new speed run (which was a brilliant addition) but that’s about it. I’m still hopeful that Nintendo will release at least one more additional theme.

I saw the picture for the article and got a little sad. I wish Nintendo would remember Mario maker 2’s existence and bring more themes (remember everyone saying since themes were plural they were going to come out with more).

Got a farm I play on with 2 other friends, it’s amazing this game keeps getting updates, love the dedication concerned ape has for it. @MasterGraveheart that makes me think of Elvis Presley, delicious!

Awesome game, really am thinking about this one. Not super thrilled that 2K is behind it though. Haven’t had great experience with their ports in the past.

Hopefully the UK will be in a valley at this time, it is not economically possible for any government to keep everything shut down for months on end. Will come in waves until something is discovered or created to help fight this.
