Banana Tree Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone recently ran a poll asking the game's player base what fruit tree it would like to see added to the popular farming simulator and bananas managed to take out a narrow victory against mango, avocado, and passionfruit.

To celebrate, Barone showed off a picture of a Stardew player avatar holding a banana high above their head on Twitter and also noted how mango was the runner-up. Could it be the next tree added to the game?

While there's no word about exactly when version 1.5 of Stardew Valley will be rolled out, Barone was happy to explain to a player the process behind adding new items and crops:

Once you've coded the framework for items & crops, most of the work to add new ones is drawing the art and putting in the data (price, etc.). However, in order for new content to be fun it usually has to be part of a meaningful bigger-picture... that's where the real work is
