Earlier this year, Nintendo finally made EarthBound and EarthBound Beginnings available on the Switch Online service.
In case you missed it, Nintendo has now issued a reminder by sharing a fact sheet on social media - highlighting a few of the fun details about each game. It's also shared a link to the original EarthBound Player's Guide (again).
Here's a refresher on both games:
"Join Ness, Paula, Jeff and Poo in their quest to fulfill an age-old prophecy to stop the wicked Giygas (and maybe catch a Runaway Five concert along the way) in the fan-favorite Super NES classic EarthBound. In addition, travel back to 198X for EarthBound Beginnings, a localized version of the original Famicom Mother game. Both EarthBound and EarthBound Beginnings are coming to Nintendo Switch Online ... later today!"

And actually, Earthbound Beginnings is quite good. Not as good as Earthbound, but still.

Not that I’ve ever been a fan of the series. I played some of Earthbound on the Wii U and I enjoyed it for a bit.
Fun games but we still need Mother 3.

I beat Earthbound Beginnings when they released it. It was fun and I liked it but I'm still not all that interested in diving into the second one.

Imo overhyped Games, they don't have to remind People, those Games are just not for everyone.

Listen man, you ding dongs released them too close to Arceus, which I'm still playing alongside Kirby. I like Earthbound just as much as the next guy, but I haven't the time or concern at the moment to bother with them. I'll get to them during a release lull, okay?
I just wish I could order a N64 Controller from NSO+ so I can play the N64 games properly.

Great games, I beat earthbound the first week it was released on the services. Looking forward to Super Mario rpg in the future.

The fan translation that's been available for more than a decade now is probably better than any official localization would be. Just play it already. It's very good. Nintendo's not bringing it here.
Finally got to play and finish Earthbound for the first time all because they released it on Switch! I can see why it has the following it does. Charming & unique game.
Not sure if and/or when I’ll dive into Earthbound Beginnings though… however I still do, like so many others, want them to localize Mother 3 and release t and other games onto a Game Boy line NSO App.
… Wun can only hope.
