God, I wish Black Forest put this much love into their Bubsy reboot... I'd kill for a truly great Bubsy game. The characters are so great and the earlier games had some great concepts - shame they never got the fully fledged out use they deserved. I enjoyed PoF though.

Why are some of them called "Namco Classic" instead of their actual name? Took me a bit of a while to find Mappy because of it.

This game's rabbit hole of disappointment is not only more entertaining than the game itself, but also likely more entertaining than the game would've been had it been good.

@HaileySheridon You do know everything you listed was Rare's doing, not Microsoft's right? Had Rare stayed with Nintendo, Nuts and Bolts still would've happened, just on the Wii instead.

If you want to cherry pick, I can do that too: put Viva Pinata next to StarFox Adventures, or Mickey's Speedway next to Sea of Thieves, ask me which company would be better for Rare to associate with in the vacuum of those two games.

Banjo was better off with Nintendo by pure coincidence as internal interest in collectathons at Rare was decreasing at the time of the buyout

Rare will never return to their golden age of platformers due to little devotion to the genre remaining interally but are still putting out classic games, though most of their retro Nintendo fans would likely not have a chance play said games all thanks to Microsoft

3D Sonic only got good once Naka was out of the picture. The Boost games (sans Forces) are no classic trilogy, but they're better than the Adventure era and "dark age" easily.

Don't disgrace Muddy Mole's likeness by associating him with the zombified-every-3-years bitcoin bubble.

Kuru Kuru Kururin, Drill Dozer, Mole Mania - the holy trinity of franchises Nintendo needs to revive pronto. I should probably seek out the Japan-only Kururin sequels at some point... I wonder if there's an English patch?

The PS1 is such a wonder machine. It kept 2D and linear 3D platformers afloat on consoles at a time where Nintendo were collectathon-crazy.

Based on some leaks I saw, I was worried Sega would discontinue Classic Sonic - glad to know that seems not to be the case! Now let's just hope Sega can keep him his own thing and not do another terrible crossover with wonky physics like Forces...

Hopefully this will strengthen Sony and Nintendo's relationship and lead to a PS rep in Smash...

I don't get the obsession with anniversaries. They happen every 5 years. they're not special unless it's a particular milestone like 10, 50, 100, e.t.c. - oh yeah, and also if the series has stayed relevant through that time.
