The Japanese picture box is clearly beating the Western design, but the tragedy of First-Past-The-Post is playing out as the Western one is beating the split-vote Japanese one.

@CharlieGirl I can only assume there are a lot of people voting NA out of patriotism. It really is terrible. Those two shades of black are a crime, the illustration is boring and the "WOW"s all over the place are very distracting.

Easy win for Japan. NA box is cluttered with gumpf and "Illusion of Time" is a much worse title. There's a lot to look at on the Japanese box, but it's all interesting and nothing jars.

@CharlieGirl I agree. Nintendo have hundreds of classic binaries sitting around. They don't even need to go to dodgy rom sites to get them. If they were serious about their claims that they want to make these online services good value, they would be uploading them by the shovel-load.

The stupid shoulder balls on Samus' suit are slightly covered up with the weird target thing on the Japanese release, so that's a win.

NA looks like a screen grab from a rubbish game. Japan/EU isn't my cup of tea, but there is some merit to its design. And I expect it would "pop" on a store shelf.

@Ryu_Niiyama Presumably the plan is to grift as much as they can while the grifting is good, then hide the money in some dodgy crypto hole while their company inevitibly gets sued out of existence.
