Re: Soapbox: Nintendo Needs More Characters Like Paper Mario's Vivian

Bratwurst35

@jamess Forced eh? So then what's the excuse for bigotry, racism, and hatred when the intended vision of the artist is someone other than a white straight guy?

It always seems like the idea is "Let the artists create what they want...unless it's something I disagree with of course, then change it to suit me"

Something I always seem to run into with a certain anti crowd.

Re: Fortnite Teases New Fallout Crossover

Bratwurst35

@epicgamner If you want the truth, I don't care what Fortnite does. It's not my type of game personally, and that's fine. Not every game is everyone.

If you enjoy it, you enjoy it. That's what games are made for. As long as you're having fun, that's all that counts.

My original comment was meant to be a joke. I was just goofing around. It's all good. I just meant to get a small laugh out of people.

@Chlocean First off, those pearls are very valuable. So yes, I will clutch onto them.

Secondly, learn to laugh a little and take a joke.

Thirdly, I will have fun hating. We all need hobbies that bring us joy.

Fourthly, there is no fourth, I just don't like odd numbers.

Re: Zelda Live-Action Movie Director Confident "Fans Are Gonna Be Happy"

Bratwurst35

@Sondheimist Nice. As someone who grew up in a household where classic film was watched more than modern. I never gave much films a chance. On occasion I'd watch them with my mother, but never truly dived in.

However that changed when I watch Alfred Hitchcock's Birds. A classic horror which I enjoyed. By removing modern lenses, putting myself in the mindset of context and time, I've found a fondness for classic films.

Sadly, when you're 14 years old in 2004, there's no other kids around to enjoy the films with, and so you just learn to enjoy them in your alone time.

That, and Twilight Zone.

Re: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Will Restore Missing Posters In Patch 3

Bratwurst35

@Glasso You are correct. This is an age of outrage and sensationalism. Where clickbait titles get people enraged looking to fight invisible bad guys.

Just look at the recently released 'Steller Blade'. The intoxicated outraged ones were ready for a war. Proclaiming woke journalism will do all they can to destroy the best game ever made because it has a sexy lady on the cover.

Now that the game is released? Well, what do you know it's got a fairly good reception.

However, people who outraged must have an outlet to vent, they need villain, and will look for one anywhere.

So here is something interesting:

Imagine a well known youtuber, and well known website both giving the same praise and criticism. However, since the well known website is considered mainstream, It gets the bulk of the hate for dare scoring this Anti woke triumph a 7/10.

Im talking about YouTuber Skillup, IGN, and their reviews of Steller Blade.

Both share a similar criticism regarding the story and characters not being very good. Both agree the gameplay is the best part.

But, because one is mainstream, and dared to give a 7, IGN gets the hate for it.

This is the times we live in.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (27th April)

Bratwurst35

I can't even begin. I overindulged. I was trying to give games I never played a shot and ended up playing all of them at once. I still have so much to complete.

Xenoblade Chronicles 1
Peach Showtime
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew
Resident Evil 4
Banishers Ghosts of New Eden
Star Ocean The second Story R
And more

I don't how I got myself in this mess.

Re: Feature: Why Play Final Fantasy VII Remake When You Could Play FFVII 'Demake'?

Bratwurst35

@XenoShaun Probably because of it's historical place in SE history. And one that probably stands out as the most recognizable in the franchise.

I didn't play the original growing up, and FF7 remake isn't so bad. I think by trying to split a single game into 3 separate ones, did harm to the pacing.

The opening chapters of the remake are awesome, but to pad out the game it's filled with some very dull moments.

Re: Embracer Group To Split Into Three Separate Companies

Bratwurst35

@shgamer Personally, I think Darksiders Genesis is the best of them. Strife just felt so different compared to the other 3 that I enjoyed the banter.

After getting a taste of the character, Im still looking forward to the day if ever we get a 5th entry starring him. He just felt so lively to play and is clearly the most laid back of them.

Re: Lara Croft's Pinup Posters Go Missing In Tomb Raider I-III Remastered

Bratwurst35

@LikelySatan Everyone has real problems to some degree. Just many don't tack on extra problems that don't matter to them.

In this case, this problem to me is minor and insignificant. I have many real issues I deal with on the daily as is.

I just want to come home, boot up my game, and not care about Asypr, Crystal Dynamics or whoever being censorship overlords.

Re: The Witcher's Netflix Series Announces "Fifth And Final Season"

Bratwurst35

@silver-crescent Simple. The Witcher is a tv show based on a series of books by author Andrzej Sapkowski. Those books were then adapted to videogames by a company called CDProjekt.

One game in the series adaption is called "Witcher 3". Witcher 3 was ported to the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo switch is a console created by Nintendo.

Nintendo is a company that was founded 1889, and started off as an illegal card gambling business. Through radical transformation, they are the family loving company you know today.

Some kid in 90's grew up loving Nintendo games. He loved them so much he wanted to make dedicated place for all things Nintendo related. That kid grew up be the founder of Nintendolife.

Nintendolife was founded in 2005 and is still around today.

It's all connected.

Re: Random: BAFTA's 'Iconic Game Characters' Poll Has Us Scratching Our Heads

Bratwurst35

@RetroGames Super Mario Bros was fine film, but in no way did it do anything Oscar worthy.

Spider-verse actually set a new bar in terms of what animation can possibly do to the point you had other films aka "Puss in Boots" follow suit.

Mario didn't push any boundaries, nor took any risk with it's animation, story, or characters. It pretty much played it safe in all categories.
