@Dog I think that's a good thing they didn't play it safe with it's story telling to appeal to children. To be honest and sincere means having to tell things that are painful. Marital problems sucks and the game did a good job of highlighting just terrible it can be.
It works as a family game because kids would probably be too distracted by the visuals and game play while it works for adults who can appreciate the story as well as the other two things. As far I can tell the game does a good job of appealing to both adults and kids.
@AceMcGyver65 See it's stories like that which gave it the push it needed. The problem with AAA games is the stories are cookie cutter and predictable. It takes two took a topic not done in a game before and made it work.
@Bolt_Strike What is worth 60$ is the reason why we have bland games just padding things out for no reason and bloated with repetitiveness and I mean the boring kind too. I don't want a bland sonic game that's trying to fill some 60$ of worth quota.
I would gladly pay 60$ for a Sonic game that is top quality even if it's not very long. People really should stop with the idea that more content even if it's terrible is worth 60$.
@SakuraHaruka Having too much positivity is as unhealthy as too much negativity. A even dose of optimism and pessimism is key to a achieving a steady balance.
@WallyWest Actually, you don't have to take a moral high ground at all. I don't support ubisoft for many reasons. But in all honesty we humans are all hypocrites in one way or another.
With that said I also believe things don't have to be a certain way but we allow them to be. Ultimately everyone is to blame for something. Can't put it all on corporate when consumers keep giving them power to do so.
There are plenty of smaller companies however that lack the support gamers could be giving to rather than the big ones. but consumers will buy whatever gives that dopamine rush
@Cartr36 No doubt. I met Zelda fans upset because it's not lore friendly. Yeah tri-force isn't lore friendly. I always found that odd, given that the series has played fast and lose with it's lore adding in whatever fits the current theme.
@dew12333 Take heart. I don't mean that in a negative way. I just simply mean Nintendo due to mistakes along the way lost the spec war.
At this point they've forged their on path and clearly found success after the failure of the previous console. These handhelds aren't trying to compete at all.
Nintendo is pretty much in their own league at this point. They realize their biggest strength lies in the handheld market and managed to create a system powerful enough to attract third party support while also keeping their main base.
I'm just pointing out no one has any reason to compete with Nintendo and Nintendo has no reason to compete with anybody. That is a win.
@mariopartyfan68 Really now? Then you can explain twilight princess? You know that bland realistic game Nintendo made a while back? The one where they tried to woo back the audience after the lackluster sales of the bright and cel shaded Wind Waker.
@Expa0 Have you played it yet come to the conclusion is not on equal footing? Here's a bit of good news for ya! You can ignore it completely and pretend it doesn't exist. You sound like a gatekeeping snob with that "how dare you name it Mother 4" attitude.
@msvt AAA games suffer imo from safe sequels, and copy and pasted ideas. Rather than try to be innovative or atleast somewhat original they are just there. Right now open world games are hugely popular but many of them are just plain boring. It's the same fetch quests, the same go here do x. It's open world for open world sake.
Someone here mentioned ghosts of tsushima which is a good example of devs having a unique setting yet not doing anything unique with it. It's the same boring repetitiveness seen in other boring open world games. The same cookie cutter play it safe plotline seen a 100 times over.
Something is wrong when fans of a game have to tell you to just focus on story and skip side quests. That's just a failure on the devs part.
@OldPierre77 Meanwhile over at Sony and Microsoft. Bland open world games designed to zombify audiences with boring repetitive bland gameplay that's nothing but copy and paste across the board. Live service and micro transactions. Topped with games costing 10 dollars more this time around. Along with ridiculous preorder "upgraded" versions designed to suck the consumers wallet dry.
@somebread I don’t what’s going in this comment section but I would like to add, doesn’t matter which side anyone is on. As far as I'm aware we are at a point where everyone wants to join the outrage. Left or Right doesn’t matter, as I’ve seen all walks of life be both a victim and aggressor?…. idk... when it comes to both receiving and giving outrage, one side claiming they’re better than the other is quite laughable.
We are an entitlement age where everyone seems to think they are right and therefore above critism. Dare to disagree and you have given a label of something rather it be woke, sjw, racist, homophobe etc... doesn’t matter. You get attacked for it either way. Celebs seem to think they’ve reached the status of above criticism seeing how their fans will attack anyone on site for saying “wait a sec...”
I’ve been on both ends from every angle where if I didn’t agree 100% with someone I was titled something. It’s all annoying at the end of the day.
Well that’s my rant. I’m not sure what has to do with anything but it seems the comment section is devolving to what I typically see on any social media site.
@blindsquarel I agree with ya. While it's did some things right, It didn't really re-invent the open world genre. In some ways it made the same mistakes.
@SparkyAran You're only a true fan if you play games that were before your time. Otherwise you're fraud and fake. I always remind children of that whenever they say they love Mario.
@depwnz True people do upgrade every two years. I mean fun for them lol. Also it seems everyone is focused on the steam deck. I listed more options than just that.
@CircuitWrangler3 I never said graphic were everything. I merely pointed out in my story about the alternatives that could have been used vs baying something that imo offers no real improvement worth investing. By all means do what you wish. I was just sharing my viewpoint.
@johnvboy I'm sorry you can't read. I am even more sorry you are so butthurt. I never stated anyone nor my friend was stupid. You are free to do what you want with your money.
If are going to disagree with me that's fine, but grow up a little, don't take words out of context, and put your hurt feelings into the mix.
I have a friend who owns a switch and plans on purchasing this one. I asked him why and e said because it’s oled. I pointed out to him you paying extra for the same parts; the difference being a screen.
I told him with that 350 you have now, you could blow it on increasing your game library, saving it for another console, or even apply it to the upcoming steam deck. Essentially, get more bang for your buck.
But he insists that somehow having an oled screen is going to enhance his gaming experience. Ah well, far be it from me to care what one does with their money. The only people laughing at the end of the day are the heads at Nintendo.
@russell-marlow Welp you can dwell on that score for the rest of your days, or just ignore it and enjoy the game. No amount of arguments is going to make him go back and re-review it and change it to make others feel good.
@anynamereally Or, it could be the reviewer who was assigned to review WarioWare, actually enjoyed it and gave it 9. Many other outlets gave the game 9's and 8's. Guess they're all being too generous.
Well might as well just let Miyamato develop all future games solo and fire everyone else. After all, some people seem to think he's "perfect" and incapable of bad ideas.
@pgerhard Two guys? Wow, and yet there are games by a single person that are infinity better. Guess it goes to show sometimes two heads aren't better than one.
@BloodNinja You remind me of those "Don't listen to the negative reviews , buy it yourself and then judge" chaps whenever game they enjoy gets low scores.
@BreathingMiit Doesn't matter if they deserve it or not. They purchased the rights to own Batman and therefore you have to pay them to use Batman. Regardless of anything earned.
If you created a superhero tomorrow and sold all rights to Disney, then Disney is entitled to any and all profit. Even you the creator, would have to pay a fee to use your own creation because you don't own him anymore.
@EmmatheBest Probably, probably not. At the end of the day we don't know what Nintendo would have done. Point is, Nintendo is well within their right to shut down ideas. We can hate it, but it's their characters.
The guy didn't even try to ask Nintendo or else he would have mentioned it. Even if Nintendo did say no, he made it worse for himself by going ahead anyways, well aware enough of the risks involved.
If he was that naive, then he doesn't need to start a business doing anything.
@duffmmann Trust me mate, You would not be as ok if you created a happy go luck rabbit to appeal to children and only earned 10k a month while chuck down the street is using your character and making 100k by having him appear in adult movies.

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Movie Poster Revealed Ahead Of A First Look At The Game Awards

probably less than 20%. I got bored.
