@Stuffgamer1 yes, the paper white setting on the second screen has reverted to default. The ideal setting is often about 6 to 8 clicks from the minimum setting.
There seems to be a problem with the update, as it looks to be downloading the full game again increasing file size to well over 100GB. Deleting the full game and reinstalling appears to solve the issue.
@-wc- putting cardboard on a TV is effectively how projectionists in cinemas used to show films shot at 4:3 in the correct aspect ratio - they would mask off the lens so only the intended aspect ratio was projected to the screen.
Cutting off the top and bottom of an image on movies shot at 4:3 is a fairly common way to show a film at the intended aspect ratio. The cinematographer composes the image for that purpose - the top and bottom of the image are not "supposed to be seen.
Not sure if that is the intention in this case, but the 4:3 image in the review seems zoomed out, the 16:9 images in most cases look "correct"
Wasn't it always letterboxed? If it was full screen, wouldn't there be more picture above the door, and below the player character? Like a 2.35: 1 movie, with the 4:3 version being zoomed in.
Edit: thinking about it, it is wrong. It's letterboxed, but it should be letterboxed within a 4:3 image - it shouldn't stretch it to fit a 16:9 screen.
It's also on the forthcoming Jaleco Arcade 1 collection on Evercade. Other Jaleco games have been released on Switch by Hamster - I wonder why the change?
@Moonlessky they had Dolby Pro Logic II support which is different. PCM audio is no different to the Dolby and DTS lossless formats in terms of quality.
@VR32X you'll almost always have to remap with a fight stick. One example - Capcom fighters used to use L and R for hard punch and hard kick, but the modern convention is R and ZR, so fight stick layouts have changed to match this.
@Ghost_of_Hasashi The Capcom Home Arcade wasn't made by Capcom - it was made by Koch Media, and it was Koch who were responsible for licensing AvP, so there is little chance that Capcom will ever release it themselves.
@SergeEXE you beat me to it. It's a shame - I've got an LS-40 waiting for a good home. Regarding sticks that will fit you say the Sanwa JLF is OK - do you know if the JLW will fit? I think it may be very slightly deeper than the JLF.
@antster1983 no sign of it. Arcade Archives Scramble didn't get released in Europe either - I wondered if it was something to do with them being on the Konami collections, but Gradius and Salamander did get released, even though they were on the collections too.
@Krisi the Arcade Archives have more features - as well as the online rankings you mention, they have multiple ROMs, more complete Dipswitch and display settings.
Last year's amazing release schedule? This time last year the gaming press were predicting a massive flop because Zelda appeared to be the only game worth buying, weren't they?
@SLIGEACH_EIRE the 'unfinished' game is as big as the previous games. The main DLC doesn't launch for a year. I worry about the levels of negativity you show and am concerned there may be an underlying medical cause.
@Melkac yes but the 200GB is much cheaper than 256GB. From Amazon 200GB is £70, 256 is £130, and 400GB is £224. I understand the convenience, but as 400 GB cards have only just arrived they are still not very cost effective.
@Shellcore I'm not biting the bullet just yet. 400GB cards are three times the price of a 200GB, and I'm still not sure if there will be any other little surprises in the Switch menu system.
As an example I have a 2TB drive for my Wii U but I don't think I've ever filled it past 500GB because of the 300 game limit on the menu.

Re: Review: Operation Night Strikers (Switch) - M2 Does It Again With This Taito-Themed Collection
These games didn't actually use a light gun. The gun was a joystick.

Re: Struggling For Switch 2 Storage? TeamGroup Launches A Range Of Micro SD Express Cards For The Console
Got a Lexar 1TB. Very happy with it so far.
It was about £160 from Amazon US through Amazon UK.
Re: PSA: 8BitDo Controllers Require A Firmware Update To Work On Switch 2
Tried my Retro-bit mega drive controller, and that pairs OK. My Fareastpinball Cyberstick adapter seems to work too.

Re: Talking Point: Does Your Switch 2 Vent Smell?
I always have a sniff. Not a patch on the Steam Deck.

Re: 'Operation Night Strikers' Brings Four Action-Packed Arcade Classics To Switch This Year
@Lord they aren't light gun games. In the arcade it was just an analog like stick in the shape of a gun.
Re: Nintendo Music Updated To Version 1.0.1, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Elbitryq I think that's unlikely for the Wii games soundtracks as they were licensed. The songs are by Celtic Woman.
Re: Nintendo Switch System Update 19.0.1 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@TryToBeHopeful they seem to be a bit slower to kick in, but cloud saves do seem to be working again.
Re: Switch System Update 19.0.0 Is Apparently Causing Some Issues
Sleep mode downloads, and save file uploads aren't working for me since the update.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's N64 Library Next Week
The wide-screen option on Jet Force Gemini was implemented incorrectly on the NSO version. Hopefully this won't have the same problem.

Surely the 'it's not hyperbole' comment from The Guardian is hyperbole.
Re: Three Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Games Have Been Added To Switch Online's Expansion Pack
There is now the option to play the EU and Korean versions of some games - so Story Of Their is there as well.

Re: My Nintendo Europe Is Giving Away Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Postcards - Just Pay Shipping
Cheaper postage in the UK now. I've finally found an upside to Brexit.
Re: My Nintendo Europe Is Giving Away Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Postcards - Just Pay Shipping
@Azuris you can use PayPal on the Nintendo UK store.

Re: Wii U Receives Its First System Firmware Update Since 2018
I keep thinking they might delete the Miiverse icon and Waru Waru Plaza. Or increase the game download limit.
Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch
@YANDMAN Yes they do, but Koch had to deal with Fox directly to license AvP.
Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch

Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch
@YANDMAN Capcom didn't make that - Koch Media did, and it was Koch who dealt with the licensing issues.
Re: Capcom Arcade Stadium Is Out Now On Nintendo Switch
@VR32X have you checked to see if you can remap the controller buttons in the Switch Options? You could map the screen shot button to R3.

Re: Hideki Kamiya Shares Early The Wonderful 101 Design Documents And Art
@nab1 it sounds unlikely, but if Nintendo can let them resurrect an IP that didn't do well then surely Capcom could do the same.

Re: Konami Just Revealed The PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 Mini
I don't think anybody could describe the US version as mini. It's enormous.
Re: The First Of Konami's Anniversary Collections Lands On Switch Today
No Tate mode and US versions only. I assume that Hamster will release these games individually like they have for PS4.
Re: Konami Is Set To Reveal Two New Games For Nintendo Switch At E3 2018
A Turbografx collection would be good. All the games on the Wii and Wii U VC in one package.

Re: The Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Ultra Challenge Pack DLC is Now Live
@Wckdlink I deleted, not archived, and then redownloaded from eshop.
Re: The Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle Ultra Challenge Pack DLC is Now Live
@Wckdlink I had the same problem. The update was downloaded, and the DLC was listed as purchased.
In the end I deleted all the game data (not the save data), and redownloaded. The DLC unlocked message appeared as soon as I started the game.
